MAPLES ON THE POND; NATURE PRESERVE
Maples on the Pond; Nature Preserve is 40 acres of forest land in Croton, Michigan where I have created over 2 miles of paths using ONLY hand held manual tools. During the past 11 years, I have planted over 400 different varieties of Japanese Maple Trees that I researched, pursued, purchased and planted by myself. I created this Preserve to protect the secondary old growth white pine trees along with White Oak, Black Oak, Hemlock, Beech and wild Witch Hazel trees. It is FREE to enter and to enjoy and respect all of the trees and the sanctuary where our forest animals of all sorts have found a refuge to live away from modern society.
