It is a combination of natural light and digital effects that I have been playing around with for years; what I have found, in moments of frustration and success, is that the same combination of effects and their incremental applications, work with some images but bot with others.
The one constant … the one thing that is always crucial … is composition …
Color, contrast, sharpness to a degree … these elements can be tweaked to make an image stand out; but a poor composition gets the immediate "delete" option … I don't even take it off of the memory card.
