Did President Trump and his campaign really collude with the Russians leading up to the election?
Sandy Rios, a Washington, D.C.-based radio talk show host for American Family Radio, calls that a flimsy claim, pointing to a single file that supposedly came from British Secret Service.
"The dossier turned out to be completely fabricated and bogus," she recalls, "and as we understand it, it's based on that dossier that FBI Director Comey proceeded to investigate."
Trump addresses Congress (No. 2)So that claim is strike one.
What about President Trump giving classified secrets to the Russians in the Oval Office?
"The President of the United States," says Rios, "has full authority to declare any information that's been declared secret, top-secret, he can use it any way he chooses in any form or fashion."
So that claim is strike two, she says.
But didn't he fire FBI Director James Comey to obstruct the investigation?
Comey himself answers that one with sworn testimony after meeting with the President and before he was fired.
Russian President Vladimir Putin"Can they halt that FBI investigation? In theory, yes," Comey testified. "Has it happened? Not in my experience, because it would be a big deal. … A situation where we were told to stop something for a political reasons, that would be a very big deal. It's not happened in my experience."
So that is strike three.
Is there anything to investigate about the previous Democratic administration?
Hillary and Barack team up"President Obama leaked information to the Iranians that was very dangerous and that was public," Rios recalls. "Hillary Clinton sent high level, profiled secured documents to a dozen people without securing clearances on her private server."
The New York Times reported in recent days that more than a dozen CIA assets in China were discovered and killed between 2010 and 2012 after that country hacked into the secret information of used a source inside the CIA.
