Let's Talk About Kathy Griffin!

Why?

Actually, not too bright of her nor her PR people to go to such lengths to show her disdain for President Trump.  For a comedienne it just wasn't funny.  Did she, actually, think it was?

Our Presidents throughout the years have been cartooned, slandered in not so nice ways.  Fair game.  President Obama, certainly, has had his share along with Michelle.  The left can't get over that Melania was a model and because she is beautiful the assumption that she was paid for "services" prevails.

I think Presidents Trump and Obama share a lot in common as there are millions of citizens who totally hate them.  But, when do you draw the line?  The monkey thing and Obama  hanging from a tree is deplorable.

I read on one of the sites that if she had joked about this in one of her comedy routines it might not have been received so negatively, but she, actually, planned this with props and all.

This has really got to end.  It has gone beyond reality.

I am not dumb enough to know that there are those who found it was funny and agree.  But, they are too chicken shit to say it publicly.  They are laughing and it ain't funny.

Just my thoughts.

Unfortunately, it has become reality.

It wasn't funny. She realized too late it wasn't funny. Everyone fucks up sometime in their life. I have. I accept her apology as sincere. Next.

The image of a human head drenched in blood is inherently non funny, be it Trump or anyone else. I've never been a Kathy Griffin fan but I am still shocked anyone involved thought this was a good idea.

I don't condone or think what this woman did was funny or appropriate but the right needs to please stop with the hysterics over this when their party didn't say dick about how the Obama's were treated.   Ted Nugent even got an invite to the White House for threatening to kill Obama.  Anyone on the right who didn't have the courage to speak out against Ted Nugent should probably just shut the fuck up.  You have no moral ground to stand on.

Welcome to Trump's new America.

This is not something new because of President Trump.  I stated in my opinion piece how deplorable it was for those who chose to deface the Obamas.  There was outrage.

I am a Republican, but that doesn't mean that I support the actions of my Party leaders always.  President Trump inviting Ted N. to the WH is something where my part has no lines.

Nice dismissal.

Why is my reply a deflection? It simply points out that liberals aren't the only ones to use violence.

I suppose that if the right said the square root of 2 is definitely a rational number you would absolutely agree.

Both sides resort to violence and in the end will destroy each other.

Personally, I never liked Ms. Griffin's style of humor.  I've always thought of her as being mean and a bully-- sort of like the mean girls in high school.  That being said, I've refused to watch her on TV for years, and will continue to refuse to watch her.  I saw her for about 5 minutes on E! when she was commenting on the red carpet, and changed the channel.  I don't need that in my life-- and I don't care how funny everyone else thought it was.  I didn't think it was funny at all.

The best way to fix this is to pay her absolutely NO attention at all.  Don't mention her name, don't watch her on TV, have nothing to do with her.  There is no need to be so nasty, Ms. Griffin.

But that's just my opinion.

"I've always thought of her as being mean and a bully"

Now she's saying she's being bullied. There are limits that even comedians should adhere to, and she went way beyond.  Stupid stupid stupid, and now she's paying for it and deserves what happened to her.  Actually, the interesting thing is that when it goes too far, it actually helps the one who was the target.

Reminds me of Obama.  Smile in your face and then stab you in the back or in this case behead you, which pretty much is what the stabbing you in the back could lead to by giving Iran nuclear capabilities through secure backdoor channels, keeping Congress uninformed.

More than 450 people attended Donald Trump’s lavish 2005 wedding to Slovenian supermodel Melania Knauss. The guest list included Billy Joel, Katie Couric, Kelly Ripa, Simon Cowell and Tony Bennett. But it was another guest who got prime placement at the Trump nuptials that is most memorable now. Then U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton.

According to news reports at the time, Clinton watched the ceremony from the front pew of the Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Fla.

Former president Bill Clinton was unable to attend the wedding, but joined his wife at the reception afterwards.

Why did Hillary Clinton go to Donald Trump’s 2005 wedding? She “thought it would be fun,” she said.

The Year Rage Took Over

the summer when people no longer agreed to disagree. No longer decided to live and let live. The summer when they decided the only things worth saying anymore ought to be said with a middle finger or a clenched fist.

Nobody really wanted it that way. But nobody knew how to stop it, either.

Somewhere along the way we stopped teaching our young the importance of self-reflection and self-restraint. We can correct this.

XX, what percentage of white people in America do you feel are anxious about the fact that whites will be a minority group in a relatively short amount of time?  0% , 10%, 20% ?

In post Civil War south, whites instituted race laws to maintain their dominance of the society when the Africans were freed and became a threat to white dominance.

Has human nature in the US completely changed?

I know that will happen before my expected natural life time should end.  I don't really care.  Our country is a nation of immigrants, people coming here for freedom, opportunity, to learn the language and assimilate with the rest of us.  E Pluribus Unem, out of many one, one nation under God, indivisible.

Including many, many Muslims, many refugees from the Middle-East, including Syria. They to are seeking freedom and peace and a chance to assimilate. To become Americans. They are no less deserving then any other immigrants because they are Muslim and in fact are more deserving because America has always opened it doors wider to war refugees.

Republicans are thrilled she did it. Chuck Todd reports on Meet the Press that it gave them something to use in advertisements against Democrats in the special election in Georgia. Their "outrage" is phony. They are tickled pink that she did this. In Georgia it is in constant anti-Democratic ads for Karen Handel against Jon Osoff. If it "outrages" them so much that Barron saw it, why do they keep showing it again and again and again and again and again in political ads when children are watching TV. Do those children count less then Barron? The truth is they love that Kathy did this. They could not possibly be happier about it!. Hypocrites.

I think it was disgusting and wrong and she apologized for it, but the phony outrage is just as bad considering they have jumped on the chance to use it to attack the whole Democratic Party with it.

I have read your comments several times and got me to thinking.

Yes, some Republicans will use this as a tool for their own campaigns and even though it is inappropriate that is the bottom line on politics.  No moral conscience at all when it comes to being elected.  We saw that happen repeatedly during the presidential campaign.

This wasn't a personal occurrence for my family.  If it had been, I can assure you that I wouldn't just take my response to twitter (which I don't do).

What her "joke" said to me is that some people will go to any lengths to discredit, slander and demonize an individual  if they have an audience and, in this case, she thought she had millions who would laugh and agree.
