A New Word in My Wildlife Vocabulary

I have coined  a completely logical term for the process of reproduction among species of DEER ; each thread participant is allowed ONE GUESS as to that term.

In the meantime … my new Nikon 200-500mm lens attached to a Nikon 500D camera … continues to kick butt!

From this past Saturday in the Pocono Mountains …

I'll give it some more time and, if no one guesses the term, I will reveal it, and, post one more fawn photo from this past weekend … which, in my opinion is "better" than the one posted above in that I think it's "stronger" …

But, I realize, I cannot always be objective about my own photos, and, words like "stronger" and "better", in-and-of-themselves … are subjective.

Au contraire mon ami. I see the first photo as being much stronger, and a more unusual view.

Alright, since we're guessing names here is one for you to guess at.

This is the unofficial national anthem of Australia...

Slim Dusty mentions a animal in the song, what is the animal...No looking up what it is.

Oh for goodness sakes people...It's right there on the screen, first word second line and repeated through the song.

It's a JUMBUCK, geez

Next you'll be asking what a tucker bag is...Is English a second language around here...Laugh

Yeah, Kavika, but I had to look it up to know what a Jumbuck is, and I have no idea how he could have shoved it in his tucker bag. But then I've never been to Australia.

Last spring, I looked out of my family room window and saw this fawn hobbling to its feet, walk down the slope of my back yard … and seem to disappear. I grabbed my camera and went outside to see where the fawn went.

Behind a huge poplar tree at the base of my yard, the fawn had climbed into this wash tub that belonged to my father; after he passed away, it was something I decided to save and keep in the yard.

The photo tells the rest of the story.

• He only rode that bike approximately once every 29 days …

… and, when he rode …

… he was in a bitchy mood.
