How long before Chicago files for bankruptcy?

As one of our nations most poorly run cities struggles with out of control crime and blight there is another danger lurking just beneath the surface. Massive debt as result of the incompetent and corrupt leadership of the city is coming closer to a breaking point as each year passes. Moody's downgraded Chicago bonds to junk bond status. Buyer beware you might never get your money back if you invest. The city is following in her ugly half-sisters Detroits footsteps with both crime and corrupt leadership. As we see from the following charts Chicago is on an unsustainable path it's just a matter of time before the bottom falls out.
