With Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s sudden passing, control of the Supreme Court—and with it the fate of the Constitution—has become the deciding issue for many voters in the 2020 presidential election. And the stakes could not be higher.

With a simple majority on the Supreme Court, the left will have the power to curtail or even abolish the freedoms that have made our country a beacon to the world. We are one vote away from losing the Republic that the Founders handed down to us. Our most precious constitutional rights hang by a thread.

Senator Ted Cruz has spent his entire career on the front line of the war to protect our constitutional rights. And as a Supreme Court clerk, solicitor general of Texas, and private litigator, he played a key role in some of the most important legal cases of the past two decades.

In  One Vote Away , you will discover how often the high court decisions that affect your life have been decided by just one vote. One vote preserves your right to speak freely, to bear arms, and to exercise your faith. One vote will determine whether your children enjoy their full inheritance as American citizens.

God may endow us with “certain unalienable rights,” but whether we enjoy them depends on nine judges—the “priests of the robe” who have the last say in our system of government. Drawing back the curtain of their temple, Senator Cruz reveals the struggles, arguments, and strife that have shaped the fate of those rights. No one who reads  One Vote Away  can ever again take a single seat on the Supreme Court for granted.

The Senator is trying to warn us all on what can happen if, God forbid, we wake up one day in late January to find Biden/Harris, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer in charge. Then we will find out that they meant all of it as they end the Senate filibuster, add two new states and pack the Court.

Yahoo News/YouGov Poll: As Opposition To Trump's Pandemic Approach Grows, Most Voters Want Senate To Pass Stimulus Before Considering Amy Coney Barrett

As the Senate begins      confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett   , two-thirds of voters say Congress should focus instead on passing more COVID-19 relief for struggling workers and businesses, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll.

The survey, which was conducted from Oct. 9 to 11, found that large majorities of the public think Congress has its priorities backward. Not only do more than three-quarters (77 percent) of registered voters want legislators to approve another major pandemic relief package; 66 percent want the Senate to vote on it    before    voting on Barrett’s nomination. A full third of Republicans (33 percent) agree.

We don't govern based on poll results. But you knew that already as someone pointed it out yesterday.

Just because some moron pointed that out, doesn't mean it means anything.

What does the Court have to do with the pandemic?

Here is the relevant poll:

The polls show that most Americans are against court packing. A  recent Rasmussen poll  found that 55 percent of Americans opposed any court packing plan and only 27 percent was in favor of the idea. The problem is that the Democratic base is more divided with some Democratic voters calling for extreme measures if the Democrats take over both Congress and the White House. Rather than irritate those voters, the Democrats are saying that voters will have to  wait until after they elect Biden to know whether they are pack the Court.

The court has nothing to do with the pandemic.  It just shows that republicans have their priorities wrong.  The majority are more interested with the 'president' allowing a Co-vid relief bill to be passed, not for him to pack the courts.

Then perhaps Ms. Pelosi should shit or get off the pot. It isn't even TO the Senate to consider yet FFS. It is she and the rest of the "majority" in the House holding the population hostage.

No the 'president' is the one who needs to shit or get off the pot.  He is holding the people hostage, not Nancy or the Democrats.

Why isn't Pelosi negotiating in good faith?

Could it just be that she doesn't want any help for the American people before the election?

She is negotiating in good faith.  The 'president' doesn't want any help for the American people before the election.  He is holding the American people hostage.  He said so by halting all talks and saying he wouldn't pass any relief until he was re-elected.  The 'president' sees his supporters as sucker, losers, and disgusting.

The only person the 'president' cares about is himself.

Check out what IWF  reported  below:

House Democrats just unveiled a mammoth $3 trillion COVID-19 stimulus package that’s full of increased spending sure to hold back economic progress and push our nation further into unsustainable debt.
Dubbed the Heroes Act, this  1,815-page bill  is meant to be CARES Act 2.0 in that it increases spending for coronavirus testing and hospitals, expands unemployment benefits, delivers more stimulus checks, increases welfare programs, and has a host of other giveaways to everyone from farmers to the marijuana industry. It also includes a laundry list of liberal priorities.

It's the 'president' holding this up, not Nancy Pelosi.  He's the one holding the American people hostage, not Nancy or the Democrats.

Nope. IMO Nancy Pelosi does not want any checks going to Americans as long as Donald Trump is President.

Nope.  The 'president' does not want any relief going to the people until he is re-elected, he said so.

Now I've got better things to do.  Time to go take a trump and then head into the office.
