Sunny and 75 F - and the Blossoms Are Blooming
Sunny and 75 F - and the Blossoms Are Blooming
The nicest Spring day yet, so with camera in hand we went a-wandering.
1. The trees are bursting into colour.
2. The trees that bear white blossoms are beauties as well.
3. A closer look at those.
4. Those on the ground compete with those in the trees.
5.
6. Is that what they call a bush fire?
7. Ideal weather and location for practising Tai Chi.
8. It can't be Spring without Forsythia.
9. This on a bush.
10. From more than a decade ago, a tree with two colours of flowers.
I hope you all get out to enjoy the colours of Spring.
Nice Buzz. No spring flowers here yet, but temps we'll be up in the 50's by week's end.
Oooo....your crocus are pretty. Ours didn't fare so well this year.
That was from 2 years ago in the local park. I don't think we'll see crocuses until early May.
You must live way up North, because our crocus bloomed early in March. They were actually kind of late this year
At the tip of Lake Superior. Here we see them late April, early May.
My forsythia and jane magnolia are blooming. My plum tree is done blooming and getting ready to set fruit (I missed smelling it this year).
I have to check my red bud and see if it's blooming.
And daffodils are blooming all over the place!
Beautiful! My snowdrops are on their last legs, my crocus are in full bloom, my hellebores are blooming, and my first daffodils just bloomed! We're around 50 for several days, but it was in the 20s this morning ... but we're getting there! Now I have to do all the yard cleanup and weeding and stuff because before I know it, everything will be out of control.
This year my weeds are doing spectacular. Most are spreading and taking over the flower beds (I hate flowers anyway) Some are so ugly that they are beautiful...(scratching head on that comment)...
This is a photo of one named ''casa poisonia'' also know as ''I'm immune to Round up''....
I think that's a dandelion and yes it is resistant to Round-up
No dandelions here yet, probably something to do with the two feet of snow still on the ground. I'll see them sometime starting in May I would guess
BTW: beautiful pics Buzz

Today was a beautiful sunny day so my wife and I, along with many residents, walked through the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute campus to view the flowers. I will post a new article tomorrow with at least 20 photos of them. Here is a sample:
