Trying my best (which, I realize, isn't what it once was).
Your best is still amazing. I love the colors and the life-like features of the flowing waterway. It is not only beautiful, but, peaceful. It's as if one can hear the song of the water as it flows along. It looks like a painting, and the artist is Mother Earth.
It is not only inspiring, but, very Spiritual. You are still the one of the best. (smile)
A few minutes ago Red was looking out the kitchen window and spotted something on the lawn...We went to see what it was...It was A Florida Soft Shell Turtle and a long way from home. The are 99% aquatic and only come out of the water to lay eggs. This one was a good 500 yards from the water and had crossed two lawns, one street and a small park then onto my lawn.
Red and I put on our EMT outfits and went to the rescue.
It was a fairly large turtle, about 16 inches long (shell only) We poured a bit of water on him to cool him down and they I put him in the Kavikamobile and headed for the water. (we have small lakes/ponds in the complex).
As I carried it towards the water it sensed that the lake was close. At about 10 feet from the water his legs started paddling like crazy and it stuck it head way out of the shell. They have very long necks...At about six feet I put him in the grass and he covered that six feet to the water in a NY or FL minute...
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
This took place a couple of days ago. I just copied and pasted the article and photos that I had posted in the ''Anishinaabe'' group...
Good work, my friend; a lthough not listed as threatened in the United States, spiny softshell turtles still face some threats, including habitat destruction and chemical pollution .
All truly beautiful, Buzz. That is a very interesting editing technique. While it sets the subject apart from the background, it also tends to intensify the background, acting almost like a frame around the flower.

it is still good

That stream photo is every bit as good as ever.
Looking at it made me think of works by Van Gogh or Edvard Munch.
I guess because of the way the swirls are highlighted in Mac's great photo.

GOOD CATCH, A.H.
Two beautiful shots. Both are just lovely.
I bow to your expertise Mac and post my creation for this week.
No bow, RW, rather stand up and accept the deserved accolades.
Thank you Mac. I truly appreciate your very kind words. (smile)
Excellent work. Please describe...
Thank you Buzz. It is an envisioned Spirit of Mother Nature.
Outstanding
Thank you very much Kavika.
I have to agree with Kavika. Outstanding.
Thanks Perrie.
I can hear the bees buzzing around that phlox - one of my favorite flowers.

Soup kitchens?
A great story Kavika. And Kudos to you and Red for rescuing that poor turtle and returning it to a new water habitat.
An excellent piece of photojournalism.
That would be EXTRA MOOSHY TURTLE????
LOL, not exactly
Hey, is that turtle getting a driving lesson?
She is getting a ride back to the lake....It's a really long way for her so I gave her a ride.
Word has spread quickly through the turtle world and animal rescue groups....I'm now know as,''The Turtle Whisperer'' ......
Just moments ago I found these guy and gals in the back yard. This is a true story.
LMAO!!
Great photos Buzz. Thank you for sharing them with us. The flower exhibit in the middle looks as if it could be an abstract painting.
Yes, it does...
Here are some more examples where I use the same/similar editing technique to isolate the flowers from the background.

Well done!
Thanks, RW.
I really like that first photo Buzz. Well done!
