New angles on creative photography create novel scenes

The Relander photo of a head with trees in it is reminiscent of the Salvador Dali painting of A Couple With Clouds in Their Heads.
Great article, Buzz. It will be most interesting to see what others will create as well.
Actually Buzz, Dali was known to steal ideas from other people, especially true Dadaist.
The idea came from Magritte's works the first one called "The Lovers" which he played with over the years.

Instead of covering up Magritte does the opposite, he removes or makes invisible the body of one lover.

This came from a long series of paintings called "The Treachery of Images"
Of which this is probably the most famous image:

Which of course it isn't. It is a painting of a pipe.
Dadaist challenged the mind and concepts. Dali was a straight up surrealist. They are all about the image.
Very interesting. Copying another's ideas or technique is nothing new, of course. As is sometimes asked: "Is there anything new under the sun?" (Or was it a statement: "There is nothing new under the sun."?)

Very inventive Mac. A unique shape with a fill of a photo or image. Truly inventive and encouraging for others to test their own imagination.
Here are a few that I created just now;
The shape is that of a stylized snowflake.
As you can see, and have recently said, editing can be a lot of fun.
That's what I thought it looked like. The way the image fills in the shape is really beautiful. Some people don't realize that some shapes can be filled with an image/photo to create a great work of art.
Indeed. Being able to choose the right image to fill a shape can lead to some real experimenting, and it provides a great learning curve in how to work with shapes and images.
I thought of what you have recently been posting when I saw that image of the head with the trees inside, besides the Dali example.
