Morning. Brilliant news Mac. Slow and steady as you go. I am doing well also 7th treatment yesterday and another 2 to go and it goes from weekly to fortnightly and I can then go home inbetween. I lost Shona my scotch collie on Monday I had to put her to sleep at age 14. I am sure she held on for me to come home after 7 weeks away. She is out of pain and I will miss her so much and the house is so much quieter. Enjoy your road trip travel safe and onwards and upwards on both sides of the Pacific.
Glad you are doing so well, shona. One step at a time. Prayers and Blessings sent your way.
So sorry to hear that you lost your beloved Collie, Shona. It is always hard to say good-bye to those who have been such a big part of our lives, and are like one of the family. She has walked over the Rainbow Bridge and will be waiting for you on the other side.
Yes they leave paw prints across our hearts forever...
Indeed they do. I can remember each and everyone of my beloved fur and feathered babies from early age. They left a part of their how heart with me that has given me many wonderful and loving memories across the many years. My life would not have been as happy without them in it.
However, when the time comes for Yoda to walk over the Rainbow Bridge she will be my last one. As age progresses I will be less able to care for a fur baby companion. And while the thought breaks my heart, it would be even worse if I have to put them, and me, through the trauma of having to go to a new home. Or worse, have to put them in a shelter.
However, I will have so many wonderful memories of all of those who have shared my life, and shred their love with me.
So sorry that you had to say good-bye to Tucker, EG. It is so very hard to lose a loving part of your family. He will find lots of Friends as he crosses the Rainbow Bridge. They too, are waiting to reunite with their loved ones to join them on the next steps of their own eternal journey.
But, the many memories of the love and comfort he shared with you will live on in your heart.
Very much understood. The animals we share our life with are our family, and when one walks on it takes time for our psyche to come to terms to their no longer being with us. Just give yourself all the time you need to do that. Tucker will be with you in Spirit until you are able to do that and find peace.
He needs to tilt the hat to the side just a bit. You can't be the big dog on the block if you don't wear your hat at just the right angle. Just look at Crosby and Astaire. They would have been just another singer and dancer, BUT, they wore their hats at just the right angle. Look at John Wayne. Just another cowboy actor. He didn't become the Duke until he tilted his hat at the right angle (and, of course, started carrying a six shooter that would fire 35 times without reloading).
Photo taken almost half a century ago against the sun of a sailboat on the Ottawa River behind Canada's Parliament buildings with my Canon F1 film SLR. Both the film and the print were developed by me in my darkroom, enlarged using my Leitz Focomat 1 enlarger on a special silver-coated paper. I miss those days, that camera, and spending hours of happy and creative time in my darkroom. The print was scanned into my computer, and the frame added using the Photoscape program.
I will not be spending near the amount of time I have been spending until recently on TheNewsTalkers. Unless down the road I feel better about it I will no longer be posting photo essays, photos and cultural and other articles or anything about China. I have found that the China-bashing comments I have been getting have discouraged me from posting anything positve about China. What the critics care little about is that I see enough ugly things about their own country that should make them think twice about criticizing others.
Play nice, post much.

So sorry to hear that you lost your collie Shona. A best friend for 14th years.
Happy to hear that you're doing well with the treatments.
Sorry for your loss. We put Tucker to sleep on Wednesday. The house feels empty now.

Thank you. Wednesday was a tough day for sure, but now it's just getting past that feeling of when I turn around I expect him to be there.

Awesome news regarding your Bride, Mac. So glad to hear the great news.
Beautiful bird image! Realism is such that it looks as if it is actually in flight.
Have a great trip. I'll do my best to be good.
Good news !
Have fun.
So happy for the both of you!
I have nothing artistic to show you.. only this cute pic of one of my daughter's two kitties.
What an adorable little face! And beautiful blue eyes.
Ya think that this hat makes my head look to big?
What a Dapper Dandy he is. And what an adorable face!

It's kinda difficult to get that look when both his ears are on top of his head not the side on his head.
LOL
Yea!
Hope you all have a great couple of days.
Seems to be an animal theme going on here...so,
Very beautiful, Ender. The spots mixed with the window openings makes for a very unique and intriguing optical.
Thanks for sharing!
" We will be on the road for a few days following a GOOD REPORT re: my wife's health!"
May the winds be at your back A.Mac..
Have Fun !
Speaking of birds and animals...
Beautiful.
Thank you very much Kavika.

Sorry to hear that Buzz. I always enjoyed seeing them.
6 to 10 inches of snow for tonight into tomorrow...
That really is beautiful, even if it makes me shiver to look at it. (grin)
