I'm Back With Another 10 Photos From China
These photos have been taken over a period of 12 years. Some you may have seen before but all have been re-edited and framed for better presentation.
1. Young girls and boy dressed in the traditional colourful ethnic clothing of the Zhuang ethnic group who are located near Nanning in Guanxi Autonomous Region.
2. Buddhas - In my time here I must have seen hundreds of different ones in different temples. I don't remember where I took this photo.
3. This fascinating 3-dimensional sculpture/painting is located in the the Bell Tower in Xi'an, the city which is one of the ancient dynasty capitals of China, where the Terra Cotta Warriors were discovered.
4. The hot-springs spa at the Emperors' Summer Palace, near Beijing, on a man-made lake.
5. Near the spa, I took this photo of the lake through a window.
6. A night scene in downtown old Chongqing, the city in which my wife and I are living, probably for the rest of my life.
7. A paddle boat lost in a swamp near the school where I used to teach English near Zhengzhou, in Henan Province.
8. Banners and lanterns hung from a 1500 year old tree, for good luck.
9. A cable car heading up the mountain at Shaolin Temple, the birthplace of Kung Fu. I was in the cable car heading in the opposite direction to that one, not without some trepidation.
10. A pagoda in the Pudong District of Shanghai.
