Saying Pedophilia is a desease is an attempt to remove the legal liability. Many sexually abused children grow up to fight against Children being sexually abused. More hide in silence still feeling guilty. Catholic church trying to protect it's guilty as they have for centuries. They think they are above the law or if not they will change the act from a legal matter to a ranquilizer or take an aspirin and call me in the morning pitch.
Sexual abuse as a child more often ends in life long guilt for the abused and often ends unfortunately in suicide.

are equally guilty and should be punished. I doubt there is a higher percentage of priests involved than are in the other groups.

yes pedophilia is a desease, one whose only cure is a copper jacketed lead pellet into the offenders brain pan to stop the continuation and spread of the "desease".
It is also significant that a president and board of a State run university in Pennsylvania deliberately covered up a long string of pedophile actions by it's coach. Given your logic, should all state run universities in Pennsylvania be held culpable for the actions of one university?
Furthermore, the bishop in question was talking outside his ecclesiastical domain. He is not qualified to give an opinion on what is and is not a disease.
Finally, the article mentions nothing of a cover-up. It only mentions some dip-ship bishop in South Africa talking out of his ass. Please relate how this article is about cover-ups in the Catholic church?
