Farewell, Radical-in-Chief

Obama says goodbye to a nation he despises.

President Barack Hussein Obama bid farewell last night to the nation he despises in what was, for him, a mercifully brief speech.

“America is a better, stronger place than it was when we started,” he said in all apparent seriousness.

After sending aid and comfort to an Islamic supremacist dictator in Egypt, he falsely claimed to have pulled the rug out from the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear weapon program. The Nobel Peace Prize winner left out how his illegal war destabilized Libya and the fact that the U.S. military deeply distrusts him.

He pretended the economy is going gangbusters while leaving out the fact that nine days away from his departure from the Oval Office, his signature legislative accomplishment, Obamacare, is collapsing as insurers run away from the so-called insurance exchanges. He acted as if fighting alleged manmade global warming was more important than just about everything.

It some ways it wasn’t much different than the warm and fuzzy victory speech the Divider-in-Chief gave in Chicago in 2008, except in this speech he got to lie about his record while throwing in cheap shots against his critics and the incoming president. (A transcript of Obama’s final great oratorical atrocity is available here .)

In a forum resplendent with the echo-acoustics our megalomaniacal president prefers, the pathologically dishonest Obama tried last night to cast himself as a unifying figure:

It falls to each of us to be those anxious, jealous guardians of our democracy; to embrace the joyous task we’ve been given to continually try to improve this great nation of ours. Because for all our outward differences, we in fact all share the same proud title, the most important office in a democracy: Citizen. Citizen.

So you see that’s what our democracy demands. It needs you. Not just when there’s an election, not just when your own narrow interest is at stake, but over the full span of a lifetime. If you’re tired of arguing with strangers on the Internet, try talking with one of them in real life.

A life form that just arrived from Alpha Centauri might have been moved as Obama tried to whitewash the unmitigated catastrophe his presidency has been.

Deploying all the usual tired old left-wing smears against conservatives, the lawless 44th president recited a long series of America-boosting sayings most of which he has never believed in. He said nice things about the dead white men much-derided by the Left whom we call the Founding Fathers, along with the government-restraining Constitution he has spent so much of his life spitting on. With a straight face this despotic destroyer of the rule of law called the Constitution “a remarkable, beautiful gift.”

Of course Chicago was an appropriate locale for the goodbye address. It’s a violent one-party city that is collapsing under the weight of its own corruption. He gave the speech at Lakeside Center at McCormick Place in Chicago, not too far from storied Hyde Park and the site of the future Obama Presidential Center.

The Windy City is where community organizing guru Saul Alinsky, whose teachings on tactics deeply influenced Obama, learned his craft from the Al Capone crime gang. Obama got his start in nasty Alinsky-style community organizing with the assistance of groups like the Developing Communities Project, Catholic Campaign for Human Development, and the Gamaliel Foundation.

Chicago is where young Obama cut his organizing teeth running the successful get-out-the-vote drive for ACORN-affiliated Project Vote in 1992 that elected the awful one-term senator, Carol Moseley Braun of Illinois. She was a friend of Communist Cuba and African dictators who worked closely with agitator Heather Booth of the Midwest Academy, Democratic Socialists of America, and the Communist Party USA, all of which Obama welcomed into his political coalition.

Chicago is where the half-black Obama whose purported father was from Kenya learned to portray himself as what the Left calls “authentically” black, soaking up vile racist hatred while sitting in the pews of Jeremiah Wright’s sinister Nation of Islam-like church.

Chicago is where unrepentant terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn launched his career in electoral politics by hosting a living room fundraiser for his Illinois State Senate campaign. Although his presidential campaign vehemently denied Obama was close to Ayers, the former Weather Underground leader admitted years later that “we served on a couple of boards together.” Chicago is also where Michelle Obama worked at the same law firm as Dohrn.

Giving the speech in Chicago was also appropriate on a symbolic level. Chicago (like Detroit) epitomizes Obama’s failed, bankrupt left-wing ideology, and lack of leadership.

Ruled by his former White House chief of staff, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, in 2016 there were 762 murders in Chicago, more than all the murders recorded that year in New York City and Los Angeles combined. The 762 figure was a 63 percent increase over the 468 murders in 2015 and nearly double the murders in 2014, according to Chicago Police statistics. There were 4,331 people shot in Chicago in 2016, up from 3,550 in 2015, in a city where politicians blame inanimate objects, instead of criminals, for homicides and work relentlessly to deprive helpless residents of their Second Amendment rights.

Chicago is also a so-called sanctuary city that goes out of its way to shield illegal aliens from immigration authorities and make their lives as comfortable as possible at the expense of everyone else. Obama protégé Emanuel is a strident, in-your-face supporter of the sanctuary city movement that gave illegal aliens permission to rob, rape, and murder Americans.

Chicago’s debt has junk-bond status and residents are fleeing the city in droves in search of greener pastures. It is also home to failing public schools made worse by the militant, rapacious Chicago Teachers Union and spectacularly unsuccessful public housing complexes.

Congenitally obsessed with race, Obama lied in the address, saying he did he best to improve race relations.

“After my election there was talk of a post-racial America,” the president said. “And such a vision however well-intended was never realistic. Race remains a potent and divisive force in our society.”

It also remains Democrats' meal ticket as they race-bait across the fruited plain in search of votes. Obama harnessed race as an issue precisely because he knew how “potent and divisive” a force it could be in our society.

He deliberately made things worse in order to advance his twisted, un-American policy agenda. He created turmoil and chaos and didn’t hesitate to spawn race riots. His Justice Department refused to enforce civil rights laws when the victims were white.

The black community, which Obama claims to champion, is worse off. Income and employment is down in recent years and food stamp use is exploding. The national economy, which affects all races, is hobbling along, expanding at anemic European rates, while the national debt has roughly doubled.

Obama is proud that he has exacerbated tension between blacks and whites. He brought Black Lives Matter, whose supporters kidnapped and tortured a disabled white man live on Facebook, into the White House for tea and crumpets. He even blamed five Dallas cops for their own murder last year at the hands of a Black Lives Matter-inspired sniper.

The Black Lives Matter cult is animated by a hatred of normal American values. Its members idolize convicted, unrepentant black militants and cop-killers Assata Shakur and Mumia Abu Jamal and have declared "war" on law enforcement. Its members openly call for police officers to be assassinated.

They turned Trayvon Martin into a martyr even though he attempted to murder so-called white Hispanic Robert Zimmerman because he mistakenly believed that Zimmerman was gay. They beatified "gentle giant" Michael Brown after he attempted to murder decorated white cop Darren Wilson. They portrayed heroin dealer Freddie Gray as a victim of systemic, anti-black violence by police and cheered as Baltimore cops were subjected to political show trials.

He sent the Community Relations Service of the U.S. Department of Justice, an office staffed with taxpayer-funded political agitators, to Sanford, Fla., after 17-year-old Martin was killed in 2012 during a physical confrontation with community crime watch-volunteer Zimmerman. For a month and a half after Martin's death, local police declined to press charges against Zimmerman because they believed the criminal case against him was weak. Eventually authorities caved under pressure. Obama was the author of this. To no one’s surprise, Zimmerman was acquitted.

With his Alinskyite ways he coarsened dialogue in America, yet last night he pretended this coarsening happened on its own. He said:

America, we weaken those ties when we allow our political dialogue to become so corrosive that people of good character are even willing to enter into public service; so coarse with rancor that Americans with whom we disagree are not just misguided, but as malevolent. We weaken those ties when we define some of us as more American than others; when we write off the whole system as inevitably corrupt, and when we sit back and blame the leaders we elect without examining our own role in electing them.

The outbreak of uncivility must have been caused by his opponents.

Obama grossly exaggerated his success in keeping the homeland safe. He said

Because of the extraordinary courage of our men and women in uniform, and the intelligence officers, law enforcement, and diplomats who support them, no foreign terrorist organization has successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland these past eight years.

This is at best an arguable claim and Obama’s legalistic wording about whether a terrorist group “successfully planned and executed an attack” on America during his time in office is deliberate on his part. Islamic State may not have specifically ordered any successful attacks but that is cold comfort to the families of those killed in the Fort Hood massacre of 2009, San Bernardino, Calif., the gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., or at Florida’s Fort Lauderdale airport just a few days ago. The terrorist organization has called on sympathizers to attack targets within the U.S. and attackers pledging their allegiance to Islamic State have answered the call.

Obama said:

we must guard against a weakening of the values that make us who we are.  And that’s why, for the past eight years, I’ve worked to put the fight against terrorism on a firmer legal footing. That’s why we’ve ended torture, worked to close Gitmo, reformed our laws governing surveillance to protect privacy and civil liberties.

Obama has kept some of his promises. He has indeed freed dangerous Muslim terrorists from the Guantanamo Bay detention complex and some have returned to the battlefield. And he has made it harder for authorities to investigate mosques and other centers of jihadism in our nation.

Obama promised to be a cancer on the body politic for the rest of his natural life.

“My fellow Americans,” he said, “it has been the honor of my life to serve you. I won’t stop; in fact, I will be right there with you, as a citizen, for all my remaining days.”

Here he was telling the truth.

Obama is planning to wage war against the incoming Trump administration in order to preserve his destructive socialist legacy. This is why he has he has rented a house in Washington’s Embassy Row and is staffing up his agitation outfit , Organizing for Action (OfA). Three hours after the speech OfA blasted out a mass email to supporters with the subject line “Show up. Dive in. Stay at it.” It urged readers to “Get ready for the fights ahead.”

No ex-president has ever done this before, sticking around the nation’s capital to vex his successor. Of course, Obama is unlike any president the United States has ever had. Even failed, self-righteous presidents like Jimmy Carter, who has occasionally taken shots at his successors, didn’t set up a war room less than two miles from the White House.

Conservatives can take some satisfaction from the fact that in 2009 Obama set out to destroy the Republican Party but most of his salvoes ended up hitting his own troops in the back. He leaves Democrats at their weakest in a century.

“We’re not even a national party at this point,” Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) said in November after a failed attempt to oust Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as House minority leader. “We have some support on the coasts, but we’ve lost the support of middle America, and we’ve got to make some changes. So I’m pulling the fire alarm here, because the house is on fire.”

While Obama has been in the White House, there has been “a net loss of 1,042 state and federal Democratic posts, including congressional and state legislative seats, governorships and the presidency,” according to one tally .

Democratic U.S. Senate seats plummeted from 55 to 46. House Democrats fell from 256 seats to 194. Republicans now control both chambers of Congress and in a few days, the presidency. There were 28 Democrat governors; now there are 16.

After the farewell address, on Fox News Channel Sean Hannity asked radio host Larry Elder what Obama’s legacy would be.

“His legacy is Donald J. Trump,” Elder replied.

Obama was a community organizer when he went to college, a community organizer when he finished and a community organizer when he was president.

What does a community organizer do?

Agitate the people.

They say he was a natural.  I tend to agree with them.  I don't know of any other time in my lifetime when so many people could be fooled into believing someone had the better interest of their country in their hearts.

We've stagnated for 8 years.

We've helped our enemies and hurt our allies.

It's been a long time coming and I just don't understand how he got reelected. There were people chanting four more years at his speech yesterday. They really do want a dictator.

One of the reasons he got re-elected in my opinion is how would it look for the first black president to only serve on term?

It is folly to assume Obama is finished with trying to "fundamentally change" America. The young people who follow him are fanatical in their devotion, and these are young people who have nothing to place above him as a "higher power." They do not believe in G_d, they do not believe in country, they have no sense of nationalism, of loyalty to fellow Americans or to the ideals of a United States of America. They have loyalty only to Barak Obama and his "legacy," and it would come as no surprise to me to see a grass roots movement take hold to try and force a change in our laws to allow for Obama to run for the presidency again in four years.

Ridiculous? Just one year ago you could not have convinced me that half the nation would refuse to accept the duly elected candidate for president of the United States; that in their anger at not winning the election, the Democrat liberals would riot like domestic terrorists, burning, looting, vandalizing, and most egregiously of all.... viciously attacking fellow citizens based on their ethnicity and skin color just because of whom they ASSUMED they voted for!

Never let your guard down... if they lose the next election, they may overcome their aversion to firearms and really become deranged.
