Schumer Literally Posts “Don’t Make America Great Again” in Humiliating Accident

Here’s a fact not everyone knows — new Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer is actually a distant relative of liberal comedienne Amy Schumer. The New York Democrat is also pretty funny, too. Unfortunately for him, that’s usually unintentional.

Take what happened on Tuesday, when the glib Senate veteran hit enter before he was really ready to send on a tweet.

Unfortunately, he hadn’t proofread what he said well enough.

According to the Washington Examiner, Schumer meant to say “Don’t #MakeAmericaSickAgain,” as part of his party’s defense of Obamacare. He had a Freudian slip, however, and this is what came out:

“Don’t #MakeAmericaGreatAgain.” That actually should have been Hillary Clinton’s slogan. Sure, it doesn’t have the same ring as “I’m With Her,” but at least it’s a lot more accurate.

Schumer quickly corrected his mistake, although not before Independent Journal Review reporter Joe Perticone took a snapshot of it. Now, it looks like this:

It didn’t take Trump social media guru Dan Scavino long to mock Sen. Schumer.

While it isn’t what Schumer would say he meant, I think that the first tweet is far more accurate. After all, what is the senator and his party trying to do? They’re shackling America to an overblown, failed piece of health care legislation that has raised premiums and deductibles beyond any reasonable level because the tired statist policies the Democrats are trying to protect are the outgoing president’s signature piece of legislation.

This is how the Democratic Party rolls, though. They like keeping America shackled to its New Deal/Great Society past, standing in the way of any attempt to modernize government or make it more efficient. To them, the bigger and more lumbering the Washington bureaucracy is, the better.

That’s definitely not making America great again. Chuck Schumer got it right, he just didn’t know that he had.

It was a Freudian slip on his part.  The truth came out.
