With all that's not right with the world, all the bad feelings, ugly feelings and acrimony, I thought I'd do the following …
~ Throughout the day, I will be posting "PEACEFUL IMAGERY" hoping to bring NT members together in a discussion that evokes/provokes nothing but peaceful interactions.
~ I invite others to post similar imagery, and, if you have no photos, "PEACEFUL THOUGHTS AND WORDS" will be just as welcome.

Many days I just like to get the hammock out;
and just enjoy the silence.
Some old time vets might recognize my boots from their well worn tips. Marine Corp combat boots issued to me in 1970.
Sure they've seen better days but even after dozens of new heels and several full resoles, they still fit me like a glove

The views from my hammock are always changing with the seasons but they're always worth just kicking back for a few minutes and enjoying natures show.
Showed one summer shot so how about a fall & winter view from the hammock?

The brown, round tips of my boots down at the center bottom of the shot.
Might be hard to imagine now but nearly 50 years ago that bad boy was jet black and spit polished to a mirror shine! lol
Can't even get the boots to hold a dye job anymore but the leather is still top notch. Guess that's what happens after carrying my sorry ass down sooo many dirt trails over the decades.

The "loudest" silence I ever "heard" was the silence experienced while walking in Muir Woods.
What made me remember a quote of Leonardo da Vinci, was all of the tourists who spent their entire time in those woods … in the gift shop!
The quote …
"While riding in a coach, I see some of the passengers holding books and I fully expect to see them tear off the covers and eat the pages." (paraphrasing, but close enough).

Is there such a thing as too much peace?
No. "peace" is an absolute. There can be less peace, but never more than absolute peace - it is the ultimate and in our world's history never has it been absolute, and I doubt it ever will be, as long as Man is flawed.
