Congressional Slush Fund to Pay for Staffer Complaints against Elected Officials

So, it seems the next 'man in the barrel' is Rep. John Conyers.  Seems he is being accused of assault by a staffer and has settled several with the slush fund available.  Seems over the last 20 years a total of $17.4 million of your tax dollars have been paid out to staffers in settlements form their bosses.  How do you feel about this?

I'm incensed.....this is not a political hit job, this fund is available to all on Capital Hill.  The elected official screws up, and we get to pay the settlement tot he aggrieved staffer.  What does this say to you?  More corruption coming out every day it seems.

Here's a link to a story on CNN:  Congressional Funding of Settlements

This is about the 'fund'.  Please don't go chasing down left, right or presidential rabbit holes.  What do you think of your tax dollars being used this way?

That they think this is acceptable is beyond reason.  Now that it is known, I'm sure they will disavow any knowledge.......SNAFU.
