FOX NEWS says Jones Has Big Lead Over Roy Moore On Election Eve

Democrat Doug Jones has a 50 percent to 40 percent lead over Republican Roy Moore in a new Fox News poll released Monday morning — his biggest lead in any public survey of Alabama's special Senate election.

The poll found 8 percent of likely voters were undecided, and 2 percent were supporting another candidate. Fox News' last poll, conducted last month, gave Jones a 50 percent to 42 percent lead.

Most public surveys in the past week have shown Moore with a small lead over Jones.

One potential explanation for the difference between the Fox News' poll and other surveys: Jones leads Moore by 30 points among voters interviewed on cell phones, who tend to be younger, while the race is even among voters interviewed on landlines. Other surveys, some of them automated polls, have not included calls to cell phones.

Allegations that Moore sexually abused young girls have rocked Tuesday's special election to replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions, giving Jones a chance to win in bright-red Alabama, where President Donald Trump romped to a 28-point victory last November.

In the poll, 39 percent of likely voters believe the allegations against Moore are true and 33 percent believe they are false. Last month, 38 percent believed they were true and 37 percent believed they were false.

What a dilemma for our Fox loving Trumpsters.

Do you believe your favorite news site or trust your hatred of polling?

I think it's funnier that liberals find Fox to be so believable when they're hearing things they like. Did you notice in the article you posted said the poll was taken LAST month?

That makes it old news.

No one will ever accuse you of being careful.

"The poll found 8 percent of likely voters were undecided, and 2 percent were supporting another candidate. Fox News' last poll, conducted last month, gave Jones a 50 percent to 42 percent lead."

In other words , you are wrong. Habit?

Reread what you posted. It may have been Fox News last poll but it was still conducted LAST MONTH, just like your post says.

Yes, last month's poll was 50 to 42. The new one is 50 to 40.

You are misunderstanding what you are reading. The article is talking about two polls, if you will, this months, and then they mention last month's to show how the numbers changed month to month.

Lack of cognizance in a poll?  Not surprising.  In order to understand anything that truly matters, wingers have to be able to parse tense and context.  Both can be hefty matters to the uninformed.

Try rereading the article and pay special attention to the lead line.  You may understand it better.

Let me ask you then:  How many are admitting to voting for Moore and how many undecideds are lying through their teeth?

You do have a point there.......happened with Trump last year. I will interested to see just how many women actually voted for Moore, if it's anything like last years election, it will definitely be a shake your head moment

Folks are lying through their teeth if only because admitting that they're supporting and voting for a predator is distasteful to normal people.

The real proof this is all a big fuss over nothing, is that a real predator would have multiple victims over decades, instead of a small group 39 years ago manipulated for political reasons. To normal people, you're innocent until proven guilty. The Democrats and liberals brought this on by failing to take  their own sexual abusers to task over the years, Hillary's horny and depraved hubby being the best example.

The twice removed from office reputable person or is there someone else discussed here? 40 year old event makes it does not make it mute, certainly if the charge was made then there would be a history associated, but given his standing it is doubt full that there would have been a consequence other than to the accusers, in fact he probably would have been celebrated. Think of a politically powerful person in your community and imagine yourself being sexually assaulted by them, now you are accusing them of sexually assaulting you. How does your future look, how about your families ability to survive a hostile climate of harassment? Still coming forward?

They loved Wallace as well! Faux may just be reporting that moore was trailing to invigorate the apathetic voters that think it would be a moore victory, when did faux actually rely on truth in reporting. They do a much better job at manipulating the ignorant tunnel vision adherents.

Keep telling yourself that.  When you vote party over principle, you generally are voting against humanity; but more importantly, against yourself.

I trust the good people of Alabama to do the right thing. If Moore wins, the Democrats will have to take the blame.

I've heard that the English bookies will take bets on anything so I just googled, "betting on the Alabama senate election in England".

Below are two from the top of the list.

I don't bet enough to recognize what these numbers mean, as far as what the current odds are.

Does 2/5 mean if you bet $2 on Moore to win and get $7 back if he does?

With a 7/4 on Jones does that mean that the English bookies think Jones might be winning today? (Bet $7 to get $11 for a Jones win?)

The other poll that came out yesterday had Moore up 9. They are simply all over the place.
