Young Trump staffers are complaining they can't date in DC because everyone hates them — Young Trump administration staffers are having a hard time dating in Washington, one of the most Democratic cities in the country. — Even after leaving their administration jobs …
Both current and former staffers say they're often berated by prospective dates online, or simply denied when someone finds out where they work or that they voted for the president.
"You do the small-talk thing, and you have a very good conversation, and then they might say, 'You didn't vote for Trump, right?'" one 31-year-old female administration official told Politico. "As soon as I say, 'Of course I did,' it just devolves into all-caps 'HOW COULD YOU BE SUCH A RACIST AND A BIGOT?' And 'You're going to take away your own birth control.'"
In one recent online exchange, a potential date asked her, "Do you rip babies from their mothers and then send them to Mexico?"
Another match on an dating app told her, "Thanks but no thanks. Just Googled you and it said you were a mouthpiece for the Trump administration. Go f--- yourself."
Many young staffers have turned inward — dating exclusively within the administration.
And some go on intra-administration double dates with staffers like Madeleine Westerhout, President Donald Trump's executive assistant, and her boyfriend, Ben Schramm, who works at the Pentagon. Another popular double-dating couple is Giovanna Coia, a White House press assistant and cousin of Kellyanne Conway, and her boyfriend, John Pence, Vice President Mike Pence's nephew who is also the deputy executive director for Trump's campaign committee.
Ultimately, staffers say the allure of a White House or administration gig — and the power and access that come with it — means they retain some social appeal.
They should get on a bus or limo and head south until they hit an evangelical church or university. Lot of trumpish men and women available in those locations.
I would never swipe Reich if I knew that the potential date was a Trump staffer.
Funny that Trump staffers are so utterly clueless as to think anyone would want to date them. Their foolish choice to work for a sociopath will follow them for the rest of their lives.
The actual reason is that it was discovered that his staffers had very bad breath, all you can smell was Trump's ass when they get close.
They sound like a barrel of laughs. They are probably good at lying to one another though.
A lot of Trumper and Trumpets' out there. Too bad they're so incompetent they can't even figure out how to hook up. Then again, it is possible these folk know each other and know that their counterparts just 'ain't' worth the time or effort.
Well, they're probably not from Washington DC. You know that makes a difference. With one of the lowest, if not the lowest graduation rates in the country and on top of that about 1 in 3 received their degree in violation of actual academic accomplishment. These aids just need to accept they are located in the pit of Liberalism Swamp surrounded by a bunch of imbeciles.
They would be wise to just be patient for the next six and a half years, take vacations in states farther south where the real intelligence exist. They would hate themselves for the rest of their lives if by some unfortunate chance they got pregnant and had to bring a prime candidate for the movie "Idocracy" into this world.
If young people in DC use who you work for as a qualifier for dating, just proves that DC has some pretty shallow and low class young people people!
