Are you tired of winning yet?

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

Remember when President Trump said we were going to win so much that we are going to get tired of it? That's exactly how it felt this past month. But I'm not tired. Far from it.

The Supreme Court has been delivering, big time, on Mr. Trump's promise to restore the rule of law. And the Left is showing America its profoundly un-American and uncivil face every single day.

On June 4, the Court upheld the right of Christian baker Jack Phillips in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission not to be forced to help facilitate a same-sex "wedding." ( Read story )

U.S. Supreme Court

Although Justice Anthony Kennedy did his best to narrow the 7-2 ruling by focusing on the civil rights panel's animus toward Mr. Philips' Christian beliefs, the Court applied the opinion on June 25 in the case of Washington State florist Barronelle Stutzman. ( Read story )

The Christian grandmother had been convicted under a state law for not servicing a gay "wedding." The Supremes vacated the ruling and ordered the Washington Supreme Court to reexamine it in light of Masterpiece .

In both cases, it was the "expressive" nature of the event at issue, not the customers, whom both vendors had served routinely and regarded as friends. The media utterly ignore that crucial distinction.

On June 11, in Husted v. A. Philip Randolph Institute , Justice Samuel Alito's majority 5-4 opinion said that Ohio's process to remove voters using change-of-residence grounds didn't violate the National Voter Registration Act. That was a blow to progressives who are working to weaken electoral safeguards. ( Read story )

On June 26, in Trump v. Hawaii , Chief Justice John Roberts smacked federal judges who had decided that they, not the president, were in charge of determining who could enter the United States. In upholding the "travel ban" on terror-prone nations, the Court's 5-4 ruling restored rightful executive authority. ( Read story )

crisis pregnancy center Also, on June 26, in National Institute of Family and Life Advocates v. Becerra , in a 5-4 ruling written by Clarence Thomas, the Court struck down a California law requiring crisis pregnancy centers to advertise abortion services for violating the First Amendment. ( Read story )

It should have been unanimous. Think of Alcoholics Anonymous being forced to post directions to the nearest bar or liquor store. Still, it was a huge, pro-life win for free speech.

On June 27, in Janus v. American Federation , in a 5-4 majority opinion by Justice Alito, the Court ruled that public employees couldn't be forced to pay dues to unions that they didn't want to join. This is a major blow to the Left, which has extracted hundreds of millions of dollars from unwilling participants. ( Read story )

Finally, "swing vote" Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement, paving the way for another conservative in the mold of Neil Gorsuch. Justice Kennedy voted to uphold Roe v. Wade in 1992 in Planned Parenthood v. Casey and wrote all four major LGBT rulings up to and including the Obergefell opinion in 2015 that imposed same-sex "marriage" on all 50 states. ( Read story )

These and other developments may turn the allegedly inevitable "blue wave" into a red tide. The liberal media's relentless, over-the-top propaganda blaming Mr. Trump for the separation of children from their illegal immigrant parents at the border, which began under President Obama, makes it appear that illegal immigrants are the only people worth covering.

Nobody else in America matters. Your heart can go out to these families without buying the Democrats' radical, open borders solutions.

Red Hen Restaurant And there's this: You've heard how the progressive owner of the Red Hen, a Lexington, Virginia, restaurant, kicked out White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on June 22 at the request of gay employees. But did you know that after Mrs. Sanders' party went to a nearby eatery, the Red Hen owner organized a protest mob to scream at them? This does not play well with most folks. ( Read story )

Other Trump officials or supporters are also being harassed. The new face of Democrat "tolerance" is Rep. Maxine Waters of California. At a Los Angeles rally on June 23, she called for more :

"If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere."

Meanwhile, Antifa is back in the news, building a tent city illegally at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Portland, Oregon, and attacking ICE agents where they find them.

In New York, 28-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez upset House Democratic Caucus Chairman New York Rep. Joe Crowley in last Tuesday's primary. An acolyte of Bernie Sanders, she calls for socialist healthcare, free college tuition, and abolishing ICE.

That would mean tens of millions flooding across the border to replace the current electorate, which would pick up the tab for it all. Do "everyday Americans," as Hillary Clinton calls them, want this?

Can you imagine being one of those ten Democratic U.S. senators facing re-election in states that Mr. Trump won by wide margins? They have to pretend their party is moderate, reasonable and sane, a daunting task.

Anyone tired of winning, yet?

We on the right are never tired of winning

That's because you don't win very often. Conservatives tried to conserve slavery, they lost. Conservatives tried to preserve segregation, they lost. Conservatives tried to keep women and blacks from voting, they lost. Conservatives tried to maintain bans on interracial marriage, they lost. Conservatives tried to maintain bans on abortion, they lost. Conservatives tried to maintain bans on gay marriage, they lost. Conservatives tried to maintain bans on gays serving in the military, they lost. Because they've had over a century of losing they are now wetting themselves at the prospect of winning a battle or two.

Reason and logic which progressives base their ideology on eventually always wins. The conservatives from fifty years ago would barely recognize the conservatives of today because the right has moved so far left. Now we see the inevitable pushback on that progress but regardless of how many conservative justices are put on the bench, the old archaic useless conservative values of the last century are never coming back. Gays are never going to just go back in the closet, women are never going to just stay home and shut up as the conservative misogynists wish and minorities along with the rest of progressives will continue to fight for freedom, justice and equality regardless of the whining conservatives praying for their safe space white Christian patriarchy.

I certainly did being raised in a hardline Christian conservative pastors home in Ohio. Now I've widened my perspective, went back to college in my 30's, read a lot and studied several other religions and cultures so my old myopic view of reality has expanded to see the truth about conservatives.

Well, since she wasn't kicked out for being a Republican, she was kicked out for her association with Trump and lying almost as much.

Secondly, can you imagine your daughter being anywhere near Trump at all? Still think it would be "fake news" and that she was lying if she told you he grabbed her pussy? Imagine what he would say about her if that happened.

So...you won some court cases? BFD

So far we have a bigger swamp, a guy you elected that made it very clear that nobody from his campaign had contact with the Russians but we have convictions and indictments of his co-conspiritors which proves once again he lied. He even denied dictating his son's weak ass excuse that we find...he lied and his legal team had to confess to that fact.

"North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat" and I will say it again...he got played by his own ego. He conceded and gave in to Kim, and Kim is processing nuclear fuel once again.

Did ya win that one?

The Republicans are running away from this administration because they see what you are blindly following.

The economy is about to crash...and it's the fault of the right and Trump. His lying has gone over the edge and you and the rest of the fools are believing him.

Are you really happy about Obamacare getting the boot? I hope so because the insurance companies just said you "won" a 19%-30% increase in premiums.

Happy with the stock market? I hope so. It was on a trajectory set by Obama and steadily progressing....Trump has touched it now and the needle is shaking like a polygraph tied to his arm.

Happy about the tariffs? I hope so because it's going to get very expensive to live soon.

How 'bout them farmers? Farming has now become the #1 occupation for suicide. China sent a message you didn't seem to get...they didn't need tariffs, they bought their soybeans and sorghum from every country but ours. Unfortunately 1/2 of all soybean planted was intended for export to China...and if that wasn't enough they cancelled future contracts.

He's having a hissy fit about Harley manufacturing overseas and threatened to tax them to death...has he said anything to Ford or GM about building in Korea, China, Europe? Nope.

So, what did you win? A few court cases and the ability to post a bullshit lie from Sarah's lying father about the restaurant?

Has Trump stopped giving and being awarded worker visas from the "shithole" countries?

Nice to select a few minor wins while the global damage he's causing makes us losers.

I find it amusing that you tout these wins as you call them while he's killing the country. Not like the right cares....

Where the hell do people get off pretending to love America more than some one else?

They love their fantasy version of America more than we do. The America that puts white Christian males at the front of every line, the America that arrests blacks for drug crimes at three times the rate as whites even though whites use drugs at the same rate and sell drugs at an equal or even higher rate. The America that allows discrimination against other law abiding tax paying consenting adults just because their religion labels them "sexual deviants" because of who they fall in love with. The America that celebrates and memorializes the traitors who attacked our nation on April 12th, 1861 with over 1,500 statues, place names and plaques. The America that the South tried to make reality a 150 years ago, where people of color or people of other faiths are considered second class citizens with white Christians ruling over them. That is the America they love more than we.

We love the real America more than they do. The America that fought for civil rights, the America that protected immigrants and welcomed them to our shores, the shining beacon on the hill. The America and constitution that provides protections not just for the majority but protects the minority from the tyranny of the majority. The America that sent our soldiers to Europe to put down the rabid Nazi dogs of racial superiority and hate. The America that stands for freedom, equality and justice for all regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, faith or lack thereof. That is the America that we love more than they, the America that the bigots hate and despise because it's the antithesis of their ignorant bigotry and false superiority.

Are You Tired Of Winning Yet?

Many presidential policies and actions take time to actually see the results both positive and negative. Sometimes what appears to be a negative in time becomes a positive and vice versa.

Time will show us the real positives and negatives with trump like they do with all preceding presidents.

Winning ? We'll see in the future,

trump and his followers believe he's mandate is to rebuild the country to HIS desire, we''ll all see in the long run how that works out.

Whatever happens the trumpublicans own it lock, stock and barrel now.

Actually trump is fairly predictable. He says anything he thinks will move his agenda forward.

Once you understand that you can't take him at his word... ever.. that simplifies understanding his ways. Just watch what he actually does. He doesn't plan out much and acts on instincts most of the time. His word isn't worth a shit and he knows it. He himself says "Words to me do not mean much, it's deeds that matter."

trump lives life like it is one huge negotiating game. Where he is out to win it all at any cost.

Now we are included.

I dont think "It's what they want"any more that you want America "burned to the ground"

BUT IF the wants and need of the opposition is continued to be ignored you may be correct. I can see much protesting, rioting and even deaths again in this country if one side is not represented and the opposing side tries to change the country too much too fast.

Unpopular as the idea is, America is actually pretty well evenly divided ideologically. We'd all be better off if we learned to compromise a little more once again and put an end to all the diviction in America.

The real winners are just the politicians and the media anyway. The good old American people sure are not gaining much form all the division that I can see. It's the politicians and media that gain the power and profit from all the division in America. We actually lose.

PS: A great reseasion... I dont see the liberals pulling that off. IF it happens it would probably be due to acts of congress or the president.

One must hope like Hell that trump really does know WTF he's doing internationally and not just going on instincts .. again. Like he seems to have done with his Zero immigration policy implemented instantaneously with no apparent detailed planing.

I continue to say "Good Luck America !"

On June 4, the Court upheld the right of Christian baker Jack Phillips in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission not to be forced to help facilitate a same-sex "wedding.

This statement is misleading. The SCOTUS decided the baker case on other grounds and never reached the constitutional question of whether he could refuse or not. The florist case was remanded to the Court of Appeals to reconsider it in light of the baker case. But, to me, there’s a good chance that the lower court will say there was no animus against the florist’s beliefs like in the baker case and kick it right back up again. I can’t find the florist decision on the SCOTUS website so I guess the order is just a sentence long and says petition granted and case remanded.

Neither case is a constitutional victory but there’s definitely hope. I think the SCOTUS deliberately kept the florist case in play because Kennedy is retiring and he wanted to leave the unresolved constitutional issue to his replacement. With a reliable conservative judge on his way to the Court, things may be very different. Kennedy was the swing vote that imposed same sex marriage on all 50 states but a new judge could focus more on the issue of free expression.

Trump treats the announcement of a new justice like a game show where we have to wait in suspense to see what’s behind door number one. He’s so unpredictable that he could pick anybody off his list for just about any reason. Hardiman was his runner up last time but he’s not in the recent interviews and nobody’s talking about him. Instead, everybody’s scrambling to shoot down the people who just met with Trump. I notice Trump’s heading to a golf course in New Jersey and that’s only an hour and a half drive from Philadelphia where Hardiman lives. It wouldn’t surprise me if Trump thinks it’s funny to keep everybody running in the wrong direction and then surprise them at the last minute with somebody else.

The parents were seeking asylum in our country and had their children ripped from their arms on the orders of the man who feels he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. There is no way he can buy or bully his way out of that part of his own history.
