Left Never Gets It Right That Socialism Is Wrong

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

For all my adult life, I believed the Democrats said one thing, but actually thought something else. Why all of a sudden have the Democrats started to come clean and tell us what they really believe? Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y., was at a campaign stop and made the following statement, "America was never that great."

You may ask why did he say that? The answer is that in his heart I think he has always believed it. For some reason now, he feels free enough to tell the American people what millions of Democrats genuinely believe but reluctantly have never said before.

Democrats have no agenda for the country going into the mid-term elections. Since the U.S. special counsel hasn’t produced any evidence of collusion on the part of President Trump or his campaign, the Democrats have no issue. They have decided to reveal their true beliefs in the hope that it will attract attention and swing votes back to the Democratic Party.

The darling of the Democratic Party, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tells Americans that she is a socialist running under the Democratic banner in New York.

Her message is in some ways similar to that of Gov. Cuomo. Cortez says that America is evil and socialism will make America fair to all. Further, she says we must give everybody who wants one, a free college education, free Medicare, free healthcare, the elimination of ICE, and no borders. Among the litany of many more things she wants to do, she also wishes to abolish the Department of Homeland Security .

In a new version of socialism, Ocasio-Cortez wants to take from the rich and give to the poor. The same story of redistribution of wealth in socialism has never been proven to work.

The modern-day socialists believe that the reason socialism has never succeeded in the past is that they did it wrong. Now, they think they know how to do it right. Someone once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again but expecting a different outcome.

Many, though not all Democrats, apparently feel the same way as Cuomo; they hate America. I wonder how it is possible that a nation that has sacrificed so much in defending freedom around the world could be hated so decisively by some of its citizens.

Why are the press and the Millennials warming up to the idea of a socialist government for the United States? Intellectual Takeout.org, a blog, posted an article by Benjamin Powell in which he makes the statement, "The economic track record of socialism is as dismal as its human rights record ."  "Socialist regimes — through executions, intentional starvation, and brutal prison-work camps— in the 20th century killed more than 100 million of their own citizens. In places such as Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela, the atrocities continue."

I believe part of the problem is the American public education system and its decision to stop teaching our nation's history. Karol Markowica of the New York Post wrote an article, "Why schools have stopped teaching American history . In her article she says, "The National Assessment of Educational Progress showed that an abysmal 18 percent of American high school kids were proficient in U.S. history."

If you don’t know where you came from, then it will be difficult to find your way to the future. If several generations of American school children do not know the history of the United States, then I believe they will certainly find themselves susceptible to the influence of liberal professors at the college level.

The Heritage Foundation.org's The Daily Signal.com posted an article by Natalie Johnson in which she claims some additional facts that should be disturbing to us proud Americans.

The ratio of liberal to conservative professors on American college campuses is five to one.

Addtionally, she reports that in 2014, 60 percent of professors identified as "liberal" or "far left," according to the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA .

The Institute indicated that in 1990 the percentage was 42 percent.

One last issue: the teachers and the press through their liberal biases have had control of the narrative in the U.S. for several decades. Some Republican presidents had capitulated to Democrats when they mustered the press to attack them.

Over that time, the Democrats became very powerful; that is, until Donald Trump became president. From the time he announced he was running, and since he has been president, he has attacked the monopoly these two forces have brought forward against him.

The president was duly elected under the rules of the U.S. Constitution, and the liberal left and the press are going through the equivalent of drug withdrawal and are coming to grips that they no longer are in control.

Do you want an example of how the views of American people are changing, concerning their own history? Look at the success of DNA testing companies such as Ancestry.com or 23andMe.com that are helping people find and save their family histories.

You see in America, our family histories are the history of America.

......As tyrants go, given historical examples of real tyrants, Trump is the worst one ever.  He has supposedly limited the rights of millions who still retain every single right they had before he became president.  For instance, in shining a light on the media for their malice, he has been accused of infringing on their First Amendment rights.  Yet somehow these media people are exercising those very rights to criticize the president without the slightest fear of actual jeopardy.  Under this tyrant, it is instantly clear to every sentient person that nobody suffers actual consequences for the exercise of his right to say false things.  There are no crackdowns, no mass arrests, no opponents hustled into vans by dark-clad men, no political prisoners, and no gulags.  People drive cars with "Resist" stickers on them without concern.  This is apparent to every outraged progressive.... https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2018/08/the_importance_to_liberals_of_ignorance_and_stupidity.html

Click bait.

"Socialism is wrong."  Well fine.  Then what is right?

Vast majority of Americans can only afford 'healthcare plans' which guarantee bankruptcy in the event of serious injury or illness.

I assume this 'seed' has a definitive conclusion.  However, read it twice and didn't see it.

Except for the 'conservative door mat' of Hate America.  Hell, isn't the GOP's and the Trump's whole thing about how bad America is?  One hell of a door mat.  Works going in the door and magically appears as soon as you entered.  Damn.  Well done, Mr. Heartland.

I am now convinced that you actually want me to insult your "intelligence". Fascism is, absolutely not in any way, shape, or form a form of socialism. In fact it is as far on the other end of the political spectrum as it is possible to get. Like literally fascism preaches the exact opposite of socialism politically and economically. Socialists were among the first the fascists targeted.

No, not exactly.  It will be burning the flag, the buildings, beating up old people and impeding free speech.  I think we've already seen that happening.  Fascism is big government not small government as the Conservatives want, unlike the Socialists who want the government to be all powerful.  Of course, they are too ignorant to realize the fallacy in that this early in the transformation, but they will find out just like the people of Austria found out.

Fascism is big government not small government as the Conservatives want

I keep hearing this, but then conservatives want the government to step in and dictate health choices for women. The right CLAIMS to be for a less intrusive government and more personal freedoms, so why does the right keep saying that, then in the same breath say they want the government to remove a woman's right to make choices about her own health?

.

Fascism is a right wing ideology, always has been. Nazi's were, (and are), fascists. They fit the book definition to a "T". Fascists HATE liberals and on the political spectrum, they couldn't be further apart.

.

Fascism   ( / ˈ f æ ʃ ɪ z əm / ) is a form of radical   authoritarian   ultranationalism , [1] [2]   characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy, [3]   which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. [4]   The first fascist movements   emerged in Italy   during   World War I   before   it spread to other European countries . [4]   Opposed to   liberalism ,   Marxism   and   anarchism , fascism is usually placed on the   far-right   within the traditional   left–right spectrum . [5] [6] [7] [4] [8] [9]

Fascists saw   World War I   as a   revolution   that brought massive changes to the nature of war, society, the state and technology. The advent of   total war   and the total mass mobilization of society had broken down the distinction between civilians and combatants. A "military citizenship" arose in which all citizens were involved with the military in some manner during the war. [10] [11]   The war had resulted in the rise of a powerful state capable of mobilizing millions of people to serve on the front lines and providing economic production and logistics to support them, as well as having unprecedented authority to intervene in the lives of citizens. [10] [11]

Fascists believe that   liberal democracy   is obsolete and they regard the complete mobilization of society under a   totalitarian   one-party state   as necessary to prepare a nation for armed conflict and to respond effectively to economic difficulties. [12]   Such a state is led by a strong leader—such as a   dictator   and a   martial   government composed of the members of the governing fascist party—to forge national unity and maintain a stable and orderly society. [12]   Fascism rejects assertions that violence is automatically negative in nature and views political violence, war and   imperialism   as means that can achieve national rejuvenation. [13] [14] [15] [16]   Fascists advocate a   mixed economy , with the principal goal of achieving   autarky   through   protectionist   and interventionist economic policies. [17]

Since the end of   World War II   in 1945, few parties have openly described themselves as fascist and the term is instead now usually used   pejoratively   by political opponents. The descriptions   neo-fascist   or   post-fascist   are sometimes applied more formally to describe parties of the far-right with ideologies similar to, or rooted in, 20th century fascist movements. [4] [18]

well.. they claim to want that until it's something like you mentioned or same sex marriage where the "right" decided they wanted the government to become more intrusive into people's personal lives and regulate the combination of genders allowed on a marriage certificate, or when they want to regulate the genitals allowed in a public bathroom so only the "right" ones can get in. Outside of that... maybe they do want less intrusive government ?

That is an EXTREMELY misleading statement. The forms of government advocated by fascism and socialism are polar opposites. Fascism advocates for essentially for a North Korean style dictatorship, whereas socialism advocates for more or less a pure democracy. The two are not the same thing, at all.

Socialism and fascism favor big government, few if any individual rights, and state ownership of or control over private means of production.  The individual is a slave of the state in any event.  Communism = Socialism = Fascism.

Socialism and fascism favor big government

But VERY different versions of it. That is kind of important.

few if any individual rights

Not exactly. For socialism it depends entirely on the people. They could have few, or many, all depends on what the people as a whole decide.

and state ownership of or control over private means of production.

For socialism that is accurate, of course with the caveat that "the state" is a pure democracy and thus the distribution is the will of the people (or the majority). Fascism is different, and a bit more complicated. There is still private ownership of property and businesses, but everyone is expected to use those things for the betterment of the state itself. When you don't, well, it is redistributed and you are replaced. So it isn't really socialist or capitalist... it is just fascist.

The individual is a slave of the state in any event.

Nope. In Socialism the individual makes up the state, the state is the collection of the individuals and their will. In fascism, citizens exist to serve the state, and the state is embodied in the leader. Two completely different concepts.

Communism = Socialism = Fascism.

What the fuck? Seriously? What the fuck dude? That is like saying assault = murder=genocide. 3 distinctly different concepts with different characteristics. Communism is not the same as socialism, but socialism is a step on the way to communism. And fascism is the polar opposite of both. Communism is essentially functional libertariansim, socialism is a pure democracy, and fascism is North Korea politically, but with Chinese capitalism. The three ARE NOT THE SAME.
