So was the guy that counted these ticket requests the same guy that counted the attendees at Trump's biggest inauguration ever?

Usually the venue handles ticket sales and requests. or they contract it out.

You seem fixated on who counted for some reason.

Why?

Ya, they choose a venue that holds less than 20,000 and then give away 100,000 tickets so they can show the lemmings lined up outside. Trump has been doing the same schtick of giving away more tickets than the capacity of the venue for over two years. 'Look, so many people love me that there is a crowd outside!' and his sycophants lap up the pablum.

The estimate of those in and outside of the stadium was just over 30,000.

Beto and Willy had 55,000 in Austin, a city less than half the size of Houston.

I'm not holding my breath waiting for MSM to give much coverage.

In the coverage I saw from other media videos and interviews, people have enthusiastically been on line since Friday with chairs and even tents. Tailgate party atmosphere with live music and food trucks and  no violence.

A couple of examples:

It started today in MA as well. It means a lot less here because we barely have a Republican party here. We do have a liberal Republican Governor who is expected to win re-election easy, another Republican, Geoff Diehl, who has about as much chance of defeating our Native American Senator as winning the Lottery. Other than that we got a bunch of unopposed dems and 3 ballot questions. I think I can wait a bit to cast the two Republican votes, write in cartoon names vs the unopposed and vote and NOs on a requirement that hospitals maintain a certain amount of nurses for a certain amount of patients, and two other expensive, idiotic ideas.

Oops:

At a rally in Houston on Monday evening, the president boasted, without evidence, that there were 50,000 people were watching the event outside the arena. Contradicting Trump's account, Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo tweeted that there were only 3,000 people watching outside the Toyota Center, where Trump rallied in support of his former foe Senator Ted Cruz in his re-election bid.

"Dems produce mobs. Republicans produce JOBS!" President Trump at Make America Great Again Rally

Apparently the most recent job creation is fascist terrorist:

Latest On Suspect Devices

Here’s the quick rundown on what’s currently known:

  1. A total of two “potential explosive devices” have been intercepted: one addressed to the Clintons’ residence in Chappaqua and one to the Obamas’ residence in Washington, D.C..
  2. None of those devices detonated.
  3. CNN is now reporting that it has evacuated its offices at Time Warner Center in New York City due to a suspicious package. Fire alarms could be heard going off on air live a few minutes ago.
  4. The devices in question are apparently similar to a device found in George Soros’ mailbox earlier this week.
  5. There was some initial confusion about whether the device sent to the Obamas went to former President Obama’s office or to their residence. The Secret Service statement confirmed it was their residence.
  6. While the devices are being described by the Secret Service as “potential” explosive devices, there are reports that the devices were “functional” if primitive.

The Secret Service has denied a CNN report that a third device, sent to the White House. But there was a third device:  the first one found yesterday in George Soros's mailbox.

Those people who yell at poor Republicans who are just trying to enjoy their gourmet dining experience are sooooooo evilllllllll!  Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Still gumming that bone.  Not that facts matter, nevertheless:

Due to the illegal tactics of FBI agents involved with the program, including conducting wiretaps and property searches without warrants, government attorneys requested all weapons-related and bomb-related charges be dropped against the Weather Underground, including charges against Ayers. [21] [22]

So, if you're looking for someone to blame for Ayers getting off, look to the DoJ's misbehavior.

Did they get off virtually scot-free?

I'm sure there's a price on their heads hoping some version of Cesar Sayoc will do to them what they never did to anyone else--murder.  I suppose one can always hope for vengeance, especially when it's asymmetrical,  right?

Geez, Tex, there's only so much time and bandwidth.

Maybe in your world, it is just another political speech by a Democrat?

Where do you live???

Sorry, Bill Ayers was elevated by the academic community after his atrocious crimes.

Not a chance the Dems would let anything happen to old Bill.

Sorry, Bill Ayers was elevated by the academic community after his atrocious crimes.

A LOT of people get away scot-free with crimes.

Unlike Ayers, most of them COULD have and SHOULD have been prosecuted.

Hell, some of them are on the Federal Court and NO, I'm NOT even including Kavanaugh. There are a LOT of people that SHOULD have spent time in jail who are on the faculty of the most respected educational institutions in the country or on the boards of Fortune 500 corporations.

The LBJ administrations FBI

Hence the use of a past tense verb.

Though I'm pretty sure that you've posted quite a few comments that infer that you have no love lost for the Trump FBI...

Once Trump has reformed it, I’ll trust the FBI again.  Obama bastardized the organization as part of his failed transparency transformation attempt

But everything was going to be so easy Xx. Trump appointed his DOJ leadership, Sessions has been in there since Feb. 2017 and Trump's FBI Director Wray has been in there for over a year now. WTF is taking so long?

The irony is that the jobs not mobs would likely have been deleted as a no value sweeping generalization had it not been said by the President of the United States and made into a GOP campaign statement so now it’s protected speech.

Yep, and the real irony is that the slobs not mobs would also just as likely have been deleted as a no value sweeping generalization.

.

LOL Now I see why so many jump on the division bandwagon, Its sooo easy.

Ya just flip whatever the other side says upside down or play with a couple of words.

But, who really wins ?  IMO: Not America not as a whole. Sliding further down the o slope one day at a time.

sad

Ya, the sweeping generalization clause!  Who was it that wanted that included in the Coc?  Do you remember?  Forget it..I don't think you are allowed to answer that.

No matter how many times we give some people the definition for irony it just won't stick.  It's a small thing compared to the many other ways they murder the language but still...........
