Now That Collusion Has Been Proven, They Are Finding Out Who Colluded
The plot thickens in time for the final episode late this winter or spring.

A couple days ago it came out in the news that during the 2016 presidential campaign Trump's campaign head Paul Manafort met with Russians and supplied Russians with "polling data" about the US election.

"Cha ching" , we have a direct hit on the collusion scoreboard. Manafort forked over US election strategy information to the Russians in return for ?.   Some say Manafort hoped to have this exchange wipe out his debt to cronies of Putin (the oligarchs).

Because of the shutdown issue, this development has been back burner on the news channels. But some say this is the biggest development yet. There was "collusion" , by Manafort, during the election year.

What else is involved? Did Trump know of it? Did Trump direct it?

The plot thickens in time for the final episode late this winter or spring.

Is the border issue just a smoke screen to keep the public's mind off our criminal president* ?

The revelation that Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort shared polling data with a Russian operative is likely evidence of collusion by the president’s 2016 campaign, says Fox News legal expert Andrew Napolitano.

“This shows that [Robert] Mueller can demonstrate to a court without the testimony of Paul Manafort that the campaign had a connection to Russian intelligence and the connection involved information going from the campaign to the Russians,” Napolitano told Fox News host Shepard Smith on Wednesday.

“The question is, Was this in return for a promise of something from the Russians and did the candidate, now the president, know about it?” Napolitano added.

Earlier this week it was revealed that Manafort met with Russian operative Konstantin Kilimnik during the 2016 campaign and shared with him exclusive polling data about the race between Trump and Hillary Clinton.

The revelation was made by accident, after Manafort's attorneys made a redaction error in a court filing responding to charges that Trump's former campaign manager lied to federal prosecutors. Manafort lied after agreeing to cooperate with Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference.

“Collusion isn’t a crime, but this would be considered collusion?” Smith asked Napolitano during Wednesday’s segment, to which Napolitano replied: “The crime is the conspiracy, the agreement. Collusion is a nonlegal term.”

“I know, but if there’s collusion, giving stuff to the Russians about polling data [would probably count],” Smith said.

“Yeah, that would probably fit into the category,” Napolitano added. “This event, which has been outlined in these court papers, occurred during the campaign.”

President Trump has repeatedly denied colluding with Russia during the 2016 campaign, instead claiming that it was Democrats who coordinated with Russia and repeatedly dismissing Mueller’s probe as a “witch hunt.”

“How do you impeach a president who has won perhaps the greatest election of all time, done nothing wrong (no Collusion with Russia, it was the Dems that Colluded), had the most successful first two years of any president, and is the most popular Republican in party history 93%,” Trump tweeted earlier this month.

Lol,, John that title did it for me!  You made my night.  However, I do want my comment to have some value, so please explain how Manafort's actions have anything to do with the President?

Polling data? huh? Well that's big. It's all over.

He was Trump's campaign head during the time period he shared this information with the Russians.

Napolitano added. “This event, which has been outlined in these court papers, occurred during the campaign.”

If you don't think a connection can be made to Trump you have my sympathy.

It is possible that Trump is an innocent bystander in this particular matter, but given all the smoke coming from other parts of the house we can guess that this room is on fire as well.

First of all this recently corrected story hardly comes anywhere close to "collusion":

"That same creative license that makes Kilimnik part of the Russian-intelligence apparatus is now being applied to the claim that Manafort shared polling data with the Kremlin.   The New York Times   initially reported   that Manafort instructed Kilimnik in the spring of 2016 to forward the polling data to Oleg Deripaska, a Russian tycoon to whom Manafort owed a reported $20 million. The   Times   also reported that “[m]ost of the data was public,” but that didn’t stop pundits from letting their imaginations run wild."

"The fervent speculation suffered a setback when it was revealed that the polling data was not intended to be passed to Deripaska or any other wealthy Russian.  The New York Times   corrected its story  to inform us that Manafort actually wanted the polling data sent to two  Ukrainian  tycoons, Serhiy Lyovochkin and Rinat Akhmetov. That correction came long after  viral  tweets and  articles  from liberal outlets amplified the  Times ’ initial false claim about Deripaska. Most egregiously,  New York   magazine’s Chait doubled down on the initial error by incorrectly claiming that the  Times was now reporting that Manafort’s intended recipient was “ different Russian oligarchs .” For his part,  Akhmetov says  he “never requested nor received any polling data or any other information about the 2016 US elections” from Manafort or Kilimnik."

You know that facts don't matter. They are practicing the art of "Tell a lie often enough; and people will come to think of it as the truth."  The media is repeating and enhancing the lies as fast as they can. If enough of them latch on to it they will win in the court of public stupidity; which doesn't know any bounds.

Unfortunately they are ignoring the coercion, and bringing charges not within the scope of what they are investigating that Mueller is using to gain testimony.

Not to mention Mueller's embarrassing charges against a Russian bot company that had lawyers show up in court and demand legal briefs from Mueller- which they didn't have prepared.

Finally, what about Carter Page the poor sap that was used as a scapegoat for the wire taps to begin with?  Why haven't any charges been brought against him? After all they had proof he was working with Russian spies. Oh that is right, he is suing the DNC for libel- which they really, really want thrown out.

They have made lying a fine art. The Mueller investigation was fraudulently created, not because of a crime, but to find one. Make no mistake about it, they had plenty of criminality in front of them, but they ignored it. They chose to prosecute Paul Manafort, but not Tony Podesta, they sought a possible correspondence between the Trump campaign and "Russia", but ignored the real transaction between the Clinton campaign, through Fusion GPS, Christopher Steele and Russians and most of all they ignored the transgressions of the FBI and DOJ, which of course would implicate Mueller and his team of progressives.

As for the msm - they will never have their credibility restored.

And when they don't get cooperation they threaten the victims family.....

Corsi filed suit detailing the tactics they used on him and then posted them publicly despite being under a gag order to not reveal it publicly.

Mueller is the democrats hatchet man with a bunch of hitmen working for him and the FBI is in the democrats pocket....

It's going to take a while to de-politicize the FBI and probably the IRS and several other federal offices....

Right now, with their behaviors of starting a secret investigation of the T-rump campaign all on their own immediately after the convention was over? Since when did the FBI become the democrats private investigators?

They have NO credibility any more, they are just as corrupt as the democrats...

Whoa.  Mueller is a full on republican.  I sense its getting harder for the right to hear each new piece of information.  While we won't know until its over, your post about the investigation is untrue,  and its truly laughable when you accuse 'them' of making lying a fine art.  I say this a lot, but if republicans need to live in a comfort bubble, that is fine.  Just don't expect the rest of us to ignore what is right in front of our faces every day.  There is nothing illegal or fraudulent about this investigation, the dossier,  or the rest of the bs buzz words you threw out.  This isn't Benghazi, buddy.  This is a real investigation about real possible high crimes and misdemeanors.  All the whining and attempts to turn and deflect won't fly, the tide has turned.  The emperor has no clothes, and is owned by Putin.  Just wait.

Now go back to Corsi conspiracy theories and the Daily Caller.

Yes, the media has somewhat made lieing a fine art .. opinion based reporting is all the rage these days .. op'ed(s) are for the most part a conspiracy theory, but are relayed to others as if they are fact .. from both sides of the aisle, is fact based reporting now a thing of the past in main stream media...?

Seems as though where one would once have used common sense …. is now an emotionally based response of blaming and accusing others for perceived wrongs … US v THEM .. I am right, you are wrong .. so do not hurt my feelings by proving I am wrong .... even if there has been no wrong, something needs be made up, that is what sells, blame and shame!

I am going to wait for the final report, yet I think it is 'slightly' tainted … there are so many things that do not make sense .. perhaps my questions will be answered .. yet I doubt it - much of what has transpired has been charging individuals for false statements regarding something that is not much more than a fishing expedition … Mueller crushed Manafort, but still did not get what he wanted - so now what?  Manafort has to be doing more lieing?   A federal judge basically told Flynn that he has more to offer Mueller's investigation ……. so does that suggest Flynn should go and make something up?

Cohen, I have NO clue what to think about him and his confessions - who sets up a shell company and use campaign funds to pay off a prostitute?

[Sigh] … Vic, it is going to be interesting to see how things ultimately unfold .. yet I do not believe that truth is going to be a factor in what finally does 'transpire' ..... !

My beliefs are not based on faith, but rather on facts. The investigation was launched with FISA warrants obtained with unverified opposition research. The FBI did have individuals deeply biased when it came to Trump and when it came to HRC as well. There is a criminal referral on the former #2 man at the FBI who lied & leaked. The former Director also lied and leaked. The Mueller investigation is ONLY looking at the Trump campaign and never at the Clinton campaign which actually did get dirt from the Russians.

That is not a theory. That is fact.

On the other hand you believe that Trump is guilty of "collusion" or in legal terms conspiracy with Russia. There is no proof of that and there never has been. Thus, it is you who believes in conspiracy theories. Then again, I recall many months ago that you did say you thought the Mueller investigation would eventually find something to get rid of Trump and that was all that mattered to you. I gave you credit at the time for your honesty.

Perhaps because you are observing through a liberal lens. Give him credit for the economy most Americans are enjoying, yet with no mention from the media. Give him credit for restoring the full strength of the US military. A must in this age. Give him credit for restoring the Judiciary. (maybe you can't give on that one. You like result based judges, I assume). He survived everything the liberal establishment threw at him and they hit him with everything.

Something is definitely rotten in the WH.

Actually, something is rotten in our society. It began with the university (which Conservatives all but turned over to the far left) and has now infected the msm, entertainment and as all of us can see so vividly, the federal government.

There is change in the air. It arrived in November of 2016

It should not be kind when individuals are lead to believe that 'one' is a criminal, ya just need to find the crime … or make one up.....

The main stream media has made Russia out to be so powerful .. Trump was elected so Russia did it … now, so much has been made up that truth be damn'd, as long as it is anti Trump that is all his detractors need...

Remember when H. lied to the FBI - she was never charged, excuses were made for her .. she could tell the FBI that she did not send or receive classified emails on her private email server - they knew she did send and receive classified emails … but but as Secretary of State she did not know what a classified email 'looked like' so she was confused, not lieing?  .. she was careless, not negligent .. as her 'intent' could not be 'proven' …

As long as truth is in the 'eye of the beholder' then truth is no longer of consequence, as it becomes whatever one makes it out to be - Main stream media is doing a fine job of reporting 'their' truth … and to think it is 'Trump supporters' that are said to be gullible - at least they know who and what they are supporting...………………….

I do not know when being a patriotic American began to mean that one should follow the crowd and have a group think - is that not actually the opposite of what it means to be an American .. were freedoms not instilled in the Constitution in order for 'We the People' to have independent thought?

I hope I live long enough to see it, but future generations will repudiate everything the progressives are doing today. That is a "belief" on my part.

The main stream media has made Russia out to be so powerful .. Yes, they destroyed all their credibility with that. Much like Captain Ahab in pursuit of that "White Whale".

The zealots at the FBI evidently felt that they were saving the nation from Trump. Had they found her guilt they would have ended her campaign and dems would have been hard pressed to find another candidate other than Sanders. A possible reason for the obvious fake investigation they conducted on Clinton and the multiple no holds barred investigations of all things Trump. To this day liberals along with Comey claim they see no difference between the two investigations.

As long as truth is in the 'eye of the beholder' then truth is no longer of consequence, as it becomes whatever one makes it out to be - Main stream media is doing a fine job of reporting 'their' truth … and to think it is 'Trump supporters' that are said to be gullible - at least they know who and what they are supporting...

Truth should not be twisted or corrupted. It's not that progressives are gullible - it's that they are disingenuous!

I do not know when being a patriotic American began to mean that one should follow the crowd and have a group think - is that not actually the opposite of what it means to be an American .. were freedoms not instilled in the Constitution in order for 'We the People' to have independent thought?

Yes, you got it right. In the late 60's, liberals made that their mantra, now that they have achieved power they are against freedom of thought or speech.

That is a "belief" on my part.

I wish wash a bit regarding that belief, I agree with you .. but after the events following the Stoneman Douglas mass shooting - I had to take a step back and rethink my position .. bullying is widely accepted (even applauded) as long as it fits the 'correct' agenda .. the progressive way of life is counting on this to remain as leverage, the ability to take the voice from another simply by bullying.. sending out tweets and getting advertisers to jump ship via threats...  very American indeed!

To this day liberals along with Comey claim they see no difference between the two investigations.

Which is quite laughable … a special counsel should have investigated the email debacle, not the FBI under Lynch.  All one needs to do is look up 'meeting on the tarmac' to know that the 'investigations' were NO where near the same level of intensity … unbelievable that was even allowed to happen … Oooo but but Lynch recused herself from the matter, and all was hunky dory in the Obama administration .. Pfft….

It's not that progressives are gullible - it's that they are disingenuous!

Agreed!  as long as there is someone to blame, the progressive side of life will find a niche to reside in... tis the name of the game .. blame and shame... which in my opinion breaks down to bullying on various levels..

now that they have achieved power they are against freedom of thought or speech.

This is something that I cannot even pretend to understand - I do not have to agree with you in order to sit down, have a beer and a conversation with you ……… but that is not how things are seemingly suppose to be done any longer .. one must shout down another if views are not shared .. it is mentality that I will never be able to relate to - when did taking the high road mean controlling the situation through the denial of another's right to speak and think freely?

My idea of what America represents is quite different, 'we' are a nation of laws and individual freedoms .. not mob rule and group thinks to decide which laws to enforce… I have been called a 'both sider' as if it were a bad thing - the nation would be far better off with more people that can see both sides and be able to reach a compromise .. than this bull shit all or nothing US v THEM partisanship …

Ooops better put my high horse Soapbox back in her stall!

Lol,  Trump has started a war.  Its a war on the truth.   This is old news, from 2018.  Far more lies since 2019 started!

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/12/21/president-trump-has-made-false-or-misleading-claims-over-days/?utm_term=.b759d4021152

The numbers are astonishing.

In the first eight months of his presidency, President Trump made 1,137 false or misleading claims, an average of five a day. In October, as he barnstormed the country holding rallies in advance of the midterm elections, the president made 1,205 claims — an average of 39 a day.

Combined with the rest of his presidency, that adds up to a total of 7,645 claims through Dec. 30, the 710th day of his term in office, according to The Fact Checker’s database that analyzes, categorizes and tracks every suspect statement uttered by the president.

The flood of presidential misinformation picked up dramatically as the president campaigned across the country, holding rallies with his supporters. Each of those rallies usually yielded 35 to 45 suspect claims. But the president often tacked on interviews with local media (in which he repeats the same false statements) and gaggles with the White House press corps before and after his trips.

Some peoplr are speculating that Manafort's attorneys "accidentally" leaked this information to show how silly Mueller's  investigation is. The idea that Manafort shared "polling data" with his business partner is somehow the big gotcha of this investigation plays better for Manafort.  If this is Mueller's big "reveal," it's almost too pathetic for words.

DO you know how much internal polling data is worth? Zero! Zilch! Nada!

It is only worth something on the day it is taken and then it is only good for the person it was aimed at......

So essentially, what he gave away was worthless...... The only way it had any value would be immediately after it is written.... the next day it is all different....

A big bunch of nothing to those who know what is being talked about...... and of course for those who don't? Collusion?

Obviously the Russian propaganda did its intended job on yours. There are no "pro-abortion" or "pro-sexual perversion" Americans out there as you apparently believe, they are a figment of your imagination. There are pro-choice and sensible Americans who recognize that what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own homes isn't anyone else's business. You're simply regurgitating the the same lies many other anti-personal freedom fascists use to try and hide the truth. Nearly all pro-choice Americans have never gotten an abortion or ever encouraged someone to get one, they merely recognize the law and accept that women have a right over their bodies and what grows inside them up to viability. That's just a simple fact. And trying to ban the supposed "sexual perversions" you speak of would be in clear violation of the establishment clause since only through the application of religious dogma do they claim to know what 's a "sin" or not and what sexual morality should be defined as. In a secular society, it would be rude and illegal to lean over in the middle of the town square and ram random objects into your naked ass, but in the privacy of your own home, it's not anyone else's business, you do you. If a religion tries to come along and influence the law to ban ramming things in your own ass at home, well then it's a clear violation of the establishment clause. The establishment clause makes it clear our government is not to legislate arbitrary religious morality.

Collusion always was the least of Trump's problems, this is why he kept bringing it up as if it was the only possible thing they could be investigating him for.  If there is any justice in America, Trump will be removed from office and thrown in jail for the rest of his miserable life.

Capone went down for tax evasion. Trump, at the very least, is guilty of that. Trump will look good in orange.

Polling data itself is publicly available, so what did Manafort do that the Russians couldn't have done without him?  You see, when you collude with someone, you are providing them with information that is not available anywhere else.  What did Manafort do to give them information that was not available anywhere else and could actually harm Hillary Clinton's chances?  Let me say it again, polling data is publicly available.  Methodologies are not, did he hand over actual polling methodologies or lists of registered voters that Hillary's team did not have available, let alone Gallup, Reuters, Zippollusa.com, or other news/polling companies did not have?

No, Tom, the private polls paid for by campaigns are not public information.

What Manafort shared with Russians were private Trump campaign polls...

The very kind of info used to identify which states to focus on to win the EC.

To share such private Trump campaign polls with a Russian is treasonous...

I think it goes more to the point of the Russian companies knowing who and what/when to target.

Putin only had to identify and sway a few voters in swing districts.

The info Manafort, Trump's volunteer gratis campaign chairman,, shared helped the Russians to drive up Trump's vote and drive down Democratic votes in a few swing districts throwing the Electoral College to Trump. All of which is highly illegal and fits the definition of a conspiracy to defraud us US voters. So, it is no wonder the damn gop is lying their damned lyong asses off as we have just seen here above...

No, it is not treason to share polling data.  If it was, then every single poll would be committing treason by publishing their results as that is a compilation of data.  What is being conflated here is information that could be compiled from public data with trying to plan a set result with a foreign country.  The previous indictments against the Russian company using Facebook was that they played against both sides to cause chaos.  That is unaffected by polling data.  Plus, Zippollusa.com had Trump winning and they didn't have access to Trump's internal polling.  In other words, where is the actual crime?  There is nothing that says that polls should be kept secret from anyone outside of contracts, which are only legally binding between an organization and external suppliers/vendors.  Can Mueller show any contracts between Manafort and the Trump campaign that he violated?  If that is the case, it becomes a civil matter between the Trump campaign and Manafort, not a legal issue between the Federal government and Manafort.  The same case is for any NDAs signed as well.

Hell, ALL of the information about who to target can be obtained legally without need of accessing the internal polling of any particular campaign.  All they have to do is file a request to each state's Secretary of State or top Election officer to get the information.  It is public already.

It is illegal to conspire with foreign enemies to influence our elections.

We have state and federal election laws that Trump's campaign broke.

Why do you not care Trump conspired with Putin to defraud US voters?

That is not true. First off, again, the private polling of political campaigns that campaigns and political parties pay for is absolutely Not Public Information. State's voter info is not availabe to anyone. Russian State Intelligence Services cannot just ask for a state's voter info and get it from a State's Secretary of State. What part of it being highly illegal to conspire with a foreign enemy to illegally influence our elections or to defraud American voters do you not understand? What Manafort did is a serious felony...

Why?  Simple, it was his side that Putin was helping.  The right does not care WHAT their side does to win.  No amount of dirty tricks and cheating has ever bothered them before. Why would this be any different?  Remember, they would rather be Russians than Democrats.

Name and link the statutes that Trump violated.  Otherwise, you are supporting Gestapo and KGB tactics of fitting a crime to a person not a person to a crime.  How do you feel that you are supporting turning the United States fully into Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and the Soviet Union all at once?

There is NO LAW that covers the internal workings of a campaign.  There are finance laws that govern what money they can accept, and all of those are CIVIL statutes, not CRIMINAL statutes.  So, please link the laws that are applicable to what Manafort did regarding polling data.

Yes, it is legal.  It is not illegal until there is a law on the books governing it.  Provide that law, please.  Now, if your argument is about it being ethical, then the answer is no.  However, ethics has always fallen by the wayside in regards to politics by EVERY political party and candidate.

EDIT: Are you who believe Trump conspired with Russia going to call for Hillary to suffer the same punishment as Trump for conspiring with Steele and his Russian agents by creating the dossier?

Terrible indeed. If Obama had done ANYTHING Trump has done, or said, the right wing voting base would have gone bonkers.

But instead, the same way Trump lies as a daily practice, his followers make excuses for EVERYTHING.

This will end worse than the Bush years, and already is proving economically to be worse, with drastically higher deficits based on foolish tax cuts to the wealthy, the economic crash that will result from the ego driven government shutdown, and the chaos in the stock market and the losses we have seen.

Republican voters, the "tea party" nuts, the MAGA crowd all tend toward anti-government when they don't even realize that government jobs are AMERICAN JOBS!!!!

Government jobs are American jobs, with people who are vetted more thoroughly than Trump bother to vet his own appointees.

Government jobs are AMERICAN JOBS!!! Why kick American workers and American jobs to the curb?
