Either /Or Question : Is Trump Mentally Ill Or A White Nationalist ?

On Monday, George Conway suggested that President Trump has a mental disorder - tweeting out a photo of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, along with the pages that describe narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder.

George Conway is the husband of one of Trump's greatest defenders and political advisers, KellyAnne Conway. He is accusing the president of the United States of being mentally ill.

What are we doing?

This would be far fetched even as the plot of a network tv political soap opera show and would even be considered far out as black comedy satire. But we have millions of people who think it is fine as a representation of REALITY.

...go back to the weekend in March 2016 where he would not immediately condemn David Duke and his support right before a group of southern primaries that were voting and on through Charlottesville. He will not draw a line that excludes this kind of extremist radical violence because it is on a continuum. It is the far end of a continuum of views that are uneasy about demographic change, uneasy about cultural change, that view Muslims as more likely to be prone to violence or Islam isn't compatible with American ideals and views.

That is -- his coalition is based -- is centered on the portions of America that share to some degree those concerns. That doesn't mean that they are radicalized and going to commit violence. But it does mean that he is unwilling to kind of separate that out. And that has been consistent all the way through. It is a feature not a bug of the way he talks about race.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1903/18/cnr.03.html

President* Trump, believed to be fearful and anxious over the impending release of the Mueller Report, tweeted over 50 times during the past weekend, Saturday and Sunday. None of those 50 tweets contained a condemnation of the white nationalist mentality that led to the massacre of the people in New Zealand. So think, this was a topic that was in the news around the world, and in the US, at the time, and the President of the United States has nothing to say about it other than that the media was fake news for reporting that the New Zealand shooter said Trump was a symbol of white identity. Trump ranted about a bevy of his own personal grievances about how he is betrayed and treated unfairly, but nothing about a mass murder to which he had been at least tangentially associated by the words of the mass murderer himself.

Trump supporters see nothing wrong with all this.

We can no longer depend on Trump to change for the better, or on Trump supporters to change for the better.

Actually, I don't agree.

He is mentally ill and his white nationalism is a symptom/side effect of his illness.

And now he's going "Reganesque"

To his advantage he won't go to prison but the psych ward at Walter Reed ...now that's the ticket!

If you look at the definition of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, it appears to fit Trump to a T.  So, I would say he most likely does have that disorder.

Why is that ?

There is no doubt he tells his audience what he thinks they want to hear, but that doesn't preclude him being mentally ill or a believer in white nationalism/supremacy himself. There is a good chance it is all applicable.

Trump lies every day, about things big and small. But it's not only that he is a pathological liar, he is also a cheat, a crook, a bully, and a total asshole.

I am sure that people who support Trump know it is wrong, but they have gone this far so they keep on with it.

The presidents of the last 40 years are, and only, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, and Obama. None of these people lied with the frequency and depravity that Trump has. Politicians do lie about their policies in order to sugar coat them or even conceal them, but they don't lie out of personal habit like Trump does. Trump is psychologically malfunctioning, he is not well. I don't think that applies to any of those other presidents.

Why is it important to you that Trump be made to look normal? I know that you know he isn't, but you often pretend that he is just one of a crowd.

The thing I found most odd....and I find it odd about Trump, too.... is that the people who supported him the most fervently are the ones who proclaim to be most dead set against his actions.

Clinton was the poster child for everything the #metoo movement abhors, yet they still defend him vehemently.

Trump, on the other hand, is as close to the direct opposite of everything evangelical Christians have been telling us for centuries they hold dear....and they support him to a man.

I look at these people and wonder what the actual hell is going on in their minds.

You should always attempt to suppress speech you don't like.  It's so very "angry leftist teenager".

The point, had you bothered to invest the intellectual capital required to grasp it, is that fervent devotion to a president is neither new nor exclusive.

There were people angry as hell about how Richard Nixon "was treated".

Devotion to Trump is partially driven by rejection of angry leftists who want to stop all freedoms of which they disapprove.  So in a slightly ironic way...the angrier they get at the devotion he enjoys, the worse they make it.

There is a theory going around that KellyAnne Conway is speaking through her husband, and he is passing along what she tells him when she comes home from work at night and vents about what she sees at the White House. It's an interesting theory, but I think it is more likely that she is a true Trumpster and her husband thinks it is better to say these things in public than to his wife in private.

Both. If he weren't rich he would be part of a the network that these white domestic terrorists belong to .

But he is rich and he was mistakenly installed in the highest office with foreign help and without the majority of the American voters who voted for another candidate by 3 million votes.

So now he publicly plays the game of tepidly denouncing them or pretending they do nothing wrong.

Dog whistles, pandering, and ignoring the worst of America because he is one of them.

He is also suffering from a variety of personality disorders to the point of being "crazy" and his age added to that he is clearly displaying signs of early dementia.

But Trump is being given a free pass on everything, just like Bush and Cheney were given a free pass on lies to go to war, no WMD, and the economic collapse.

Bush/Cheney did not end well, and the very same exact people who gave us Bush/Cheney and the 8 year disaster, have now given us Trump which is far, far worse.

You cannot want truth and support a liar. You cannot believe in the rule of law and constantly try to circumvent the law.

You cannot want decency and civility but then publicly trash war heroes, trash Gold Star Families, claim "both sides" to murder in Charlottesville, and trash the Constitutional right to a free and open press.

Trump is crazy with multiple mental issues, Trump is a racist with clear open bias against non-whites, Trump is also a liar, he is a cheat with his businesses and his personal life.

His support hinges on clinging to the far right and the worst of their base.
