Kirstjen Nielsen, the secretary of Homeland Security, resigned her post during a meeting with President Donald Trump on Sunday afternoon.

Another key official is leaving the administration, although it remains unclear whether it was really her choice. Kirstjen Nielsen, the secretary of Homeland Security, resigned her post during a meeting with President Donald Trump on Sunday afternoon. Trump announced the departure on Twitter and notably didn’t use the words “resign” nor “fired,” merely saying that Nielsen “will be leaving her position.” Trump also said he “would like to thank her for her service.”

Another Trump flunky who sold her credibility and reputation down the river in service of Trump.

He didnt have anything nice to say about her on twitter, so we can assume she was fired.

She was going to be let go last fall but is now leaving on much better terms than if she left then.  The nominee for ICE has been withdrawn and he will stay as assistant director.  Trump is cracking down and will pick two very strict and tough enforcers for the two jobs.

Nielson is gone.  I wonder what her American perspectives were before she entered the realm of the Trump.

The Trump 'thanked her for her service'.   Perfect response from one who never served to another who did.

I'd bet good money that that thought never even crossed your mind when Obama did the same exact thing.

LOL!

Myself being a Vietnam veteran, Obama was a child during that war.  Trump is my age.  His 'family wealth and privilege' provided him 'the bone spurs.'

Your LOL is nauseating to me.

Thanks for your service.

Now, if you have some proof that someone was bought off to get Trump his legal deferments, I am all ears.

Or is this going to be like usual?

I thought the vietnam war was illegal and draft dodger weren't to be judged at least that is what some on the left used to say.

That is because most people don't really even know what a draft dodger IS.

Proof.  No.  With Trump everything is a secret.  Doesn't matter anyway.  Porn stars and Playboy models.  Doesn't matter.  The 'gawd people' love it all.

So you are merely spewing bullshit without any credibility.

Got it.

Thanks for at least admitting it.

  • The first year of President Donald Trump's White House has seen more firings, resignations, and reassignments of top staffers than any other first-year administration in modern history.
  • His Cabinet turnover exceeds that of any other administration in the last 100 years.

It was an impossible job really. The President is angry about the rising number of illegal aliens entering the country, yet US laws invite it. As soon as anyone seeking refuge steps on American soil (ANYWHERE ON AMERICAN SOIL!) they are entitled to a hearing! If 4,000 come over in one day, they get a hearing date -which they seldom show up for- and are released into the US. On a good day when there is room to hold them, there are all kinds of restrictions on who may be held where and for how long. All of it is well known in central America. It's a big joke and that is why the President is now pressuring Mexico to tighten their borders. Mexico can do that job if it really puts forth the effort. Mexico is not hobbled by self destructive immigration laws.

As for Ms Nielson, she has vast experience in cybersecurity, both in government and the private sector. As she leaves the pressure cooker, known as the Trump Administration, she does so with her head held up high. Well done Kirstjen!

Anyone who accepts this position will fail as long as Congress sits on their asses bloviating over collusion or what they want instead of working on a solution for our Nation's border crisis.
