Voters… Are You Tired and Disgusted, Yet?
More than two years ago, America ended eight (8) long years of Presidential lies about “hope and change” that were nothing but empty promises leading America into one of the most dismal times in world history. It was outright misery for most Americans – especially minorities. Businesses were closing and American jobs were being moved to other countries. Taxes were escalating. If you were a Napa State Hospital – a mental health facility – employee off from work observing the media and Democrats on TV, would you think you were still at work? Is it even possible to distinguish the sane from the insane between work and the media and Democrats?

Peter the Great put life in this perspective: “Soldiers’ bellies are not satisfied with empty promises and hopes.”

Businesses were closing and American jobs were being moved to other countries. Taxes were escalating. Millions moving off payrolls on to welfare and food stamps. Tempers were flaring everywhere. Politicians were proudly conducting business behind closed doors . The media and politicians found more comfort in telling lies than exposing facts. Fearmongering became mainstream politics.

Today, we are seeing the Democrats and media trying as hard as possible to pull us back to those nightmare days, once again. It’s shameful but they don’t care as long as they are making big bucks and gaining power.

Meanwhile, President Trump with a handful of other conservatives are working day and night attempting to push America back to its rightful role of leading the world – not apologizing for her. Within every demographic imaginable, life is improving. Jobs are plentiful, incomes are rising, and sanity is returning. People of color are especially blessed with major gains in all aspects of our lives.

Prison reforms are no longer a dream but a reality for many prisoners suffering from Democrat laws treating them unfairly. Colleges are being required to allow different perspectives and enforce 1 st Amendment rights, once again. Police and first responders are being respected, protected, and supported, again.

Now, we see Democrats and media trying to tell us there is reality but there is a much greater calling known as politics. In politics, reality doesn’t exist. In politics, it’s whatever “we (Democrats and media)” say is reality. The rest of us outside of the political arena are stupid and just need to shut up and take it.

Wake up America, if they are able to do this to Donald Trump and supporters, they can damn sure do it to you! This is not the time to relax. It’s a time to prepare for an endless fight for freedom and justice for ‘all’ – not just the few.

I'm tired of GOP gerrymandering and lies about voter fraud that doesn't exist.

No need to worry. Eventually, Democrats will win a majority during a census year and we can go back to Democratic gerrymandering like we had for 40-something+ years.

And yet from 1940 to 2000 the democrats were totally fine with ballot access laws and gerrymandering when democrats had the power to be doing it.  Now that the GOP got a decade of control everything the democrats used to do before suddenly becomes unconstitutional....Cry me a River.

Does the pre-2011 map look gerrymandered to you?

Who was being denied the right to vote before 2011?

Where the fuck was that happening? Venezuela? It certainly doesn't describe what was happening in America over the eight years before dip shit and company stormed the white house. It's like these stupid whiny imbeciles were living on a completely different planet. The rest of us recognized the country hit bottom at the end of the former Republican presidents two terms of financial mismanagement. From 2009 to 2016 we saw steady growth, unemployment cut in half, cut a $1.4 trillion annual deficit by 55% (though Trump and the Republican zombie brigade just inflated the deficit by 40% once again) and reversed a -2.5% GDP by 5% into a +2.5% GDP. But apparently those were our "most dismal times in world history". No sane person who has even the tiniest bit of knowledge about actual world history would believe such total bull shit. I read these poorly written trash opinions where some half-wit foams at the mouth about Obama and I can't find any valid reason for their bitter vitriol so I'm left with the only conclusion a reasonable person can draw, that the authors of this trash are simply inventing excuse after excuse to continue indulging in their fantasy of being superior to President Obama because having a black man above them in the pecking order was simply intolerable.

The lines on the left are gerrymandered by John Kasich(R) in 2011. The House of representative borders on the right was the same for more than 20 years.

Do you want to explain why the GOP needs to rig the process and to deny people the right to vote to stay in power?

You need to consider the fact that Ohio lost Congressional seats. Impossible for the districts to stay the same when you lose or gain seats. That is just a fact. Also, did you do any research on population shifts within the state? If one city gained in population, then districts might need to be redrawn.

That isn't rigging the system.

The federal appeals judges say that the system is rigged and gerrymandered in the favor of the GOP.

A panel of three federal judges unanimously ruled Friday that Ohio’s gerrymandered congressional district map is unconstitutional. The judges found that the map “dilutes the votes of Democratic voters by packing and cracking them into districts that are so skewed toward one party that the electoral outcome is predetermined.”

Did you actually look at your link?

When I clicked on the map on the right, it said that is what a new map COULD look like, based on new laws. But it certainly didn't claim to be what the old map was.

Can you explain?

The current HoR map is the the first map to the left in that two map display in 4.0.

I clicked on both maps (there are only two) and both led to the same article in which it states:

As part of the Out of Line series cleveland.com launched last summer to press for change in the way congressional districts are drawn, we applied the proposed rule changes to determine what a new map could look like.
The results are good.
Just glance at the side-by-side comparison below of Ohio's current congressional map of 16 districts, and what we came up with using the new rules for a 15-district map after the 2020 census, when Ohio likely will lose a seat in Congress.

Clearly the map on the right is a PROPOSED map--not an actual map of Ohio Congressional districts.

As I stated before, it would be against the law for Ohio NOT to draw new districts after the censuses of 1990 and 2000.

Not sure where you got the idea that Ohio districts remained unchanged for 20 years, but you might check your source again.

Pretty strange that Ohio lost 2 Congressional seats after the 1990 Census and one after the 2000 Census and all the Congressional districts stayed the same.

Sorry, I'm not buying that.
