Trump says it would be ‘appropriate’ for him to talk to Barr about launching an investigation into Biden
In an interview with Politico, Trump said he and Barr hadn’t considered an inquiry into his potential 2020 opponent — but he didn’t rule it out, either, saying “certainly it would be an appropriate thing to” discuss with Barr.

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

The suggestion that Trump would contemplate directing his Justice Department to investigate Biden drew condemnation from some legal experts, who said the idea smacked of an abuse of power.

I wonder (but not much) what the rightwing would have done if there'd even been a rumor that any Dem president ever entertained this thought much less publicly considered it "an appropriate thing to discuss with [the attorney general]."

I would ask them to comment but we know that we'd get all sorts of dodges, evasions, excuses and the usual general bafflegab as they try kiss it off or pretend he didn't say it.  But, let's just leave it open to them and see what happens.

Whatever the response, if any, it demonstrates once again that everything rightwingers falsely accuse Dems/liberals of wanting to do turns out to actually be a Republican idea or act.

We know for a fact that Obama regularly talked to Holder and Lynch and gave them marching orders. Someone even arranged to have Bubba Clinton and Lynch meet on the tarmac to talk about.....???

But the truth is, is that many on the left need to be investigated very closely for wrong doing at anytime in their past.

The Democrats tend to ignore criminality in their ranks, that's how they ended up with loser girl Hillary.

Trump and his gang are proving they have collusion with foreign governments on the brain. Rudy was going to do one, but the feedback from the public caused him to back down. The Trump  gang is probing and pushing to find somewhere to collude again.

I think they are colluding with each other to start the process of uncovering the collusion of the Democrats with the Russians and other foreign governments, who made donations to their campaign, under the guise of donating to their foundation.

Plenty of evidence to sift through and present to Barr to get the ball rolling.

You must not be paying attention.  With a few exceptions, Congressional Democrats are the opposite of being in a rush to impeach.  Pelosi has shown a distinct unwillingness to impeach no matter how justified the proceedings would be.

The Dems are afraid to impeach because they have no basis or justification to do so, and it wouldn't go anywhere, anyway.

A failed impeachment process would simply increase Trump's approval numbers to record highs.

Possible, but not a certainty.  Evidence brought out during the impeachment process could be even more damaging that the process itself.  Plus, Trump's record highs would still be record lows for any other POTUS.

Donald Trump is desperate to deflect attention from the Mueller investigation by claiming that others are as guilty as he is.  The GOP deflected attention from their failed policies by attacking Hillary for years, so now they are going to try to do the same to Joe Biden.

All the Trumpers have and had are 'Mexico is going to pay for the wall, I'm like a really smart guy and Lock her up'.

Of course the Trump and his minions will attack Biden.  They attack.  That is what they do.  That is all they do.

Sadly, thus far the greatest accomplishment of the Trump is a real possibility of the state of Georgia passing legislation for 10 to 99 year prison sentences in pregnancy termination cases.  On the national level, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are in place.  In Georgia, the state legislature is expected to pass this on Tuesday and the governor, Brian Kemp has indicated he will sign it.  We shall see.

In reference to my third paragraph, this thinking from a guy ( the Trump ) who cheats on every wife/girlfriend ( including the current one ) is a complete oxymoron.  In short, it makes absolutely no sense at all.

This will never survive judicial review. Abortion wasn't prosecuted as murder before Roe and they cannot make it murder now because it would open o up the possibility that a miscarriage would be manslaughter.    There is no way that they can deny a woman the right to terminate a pregnancy without throwing Roe out the window that the states cannot do. Roe' has been reviewed by the SCOTUS 3 times already and it still stands.

Let's stop and think about this for a moment.

1) Biden was part of the Obama Administration.

2) The Obama Administration started an investigation into the Trump campaign and lied to the FISA court to obtain a FISA warrant.

3) This FISA warrant allowed the Obama Administration to spy on a political opponent in violation of the law, since the basis for the warrant was false.

So, now the questions EVERYONE should be asking is "Did Biden know what was going on regarding the breaking of the law to spy on the campaign of a political opponent without real cause?  And, if so, when and what did he know about it?"

Okay, so the FBI told the FISA courts that the dossier was funded by Hillary Clinton's campaign, that the subsequent news articles used to back up the dossier were planted by the author of the dossier, and that the author of the dossier was no longer working with the FBI because he leaked information to the media in violation of the agreement he had with the FBI.  Is that what you are saying?  Because, the FBI never really mentioned to the courts in the application that the dossier was opposition research by one campaign to be used against another, never stated that the articles in Yahoo! News by Isakoff were actually given directly from the dossier and Steele to the FISA court, and never told the FISA court that Steele was let go due to leaking information from the dossier to the media.  Those are FACTS, not lies.

Want some highlights, Greg?  Here ya go:

Founded in 2016, The Duran is a strongly right leaning news and opinion website with ties to Russian state media. Based in Cyprus, the editor of the website is Alexander Mercouris, who in 2012 was disbarred as an attorney in London. According to the Telegraph, he then went on to become a “pro-Russian commentator on world affairs for Russian TV news outlets and websites.”

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you weren't aware of it being a Russian propaganda site working on behalf of President Shitbag to pollute the political waters and attempt yet another election coup in 2020.  All you have to do is admit that you were duped.

Let's stop and think about this for a moment.

Let's DO.

1) Biden was part of the Obama Administration.

Thank you Capt. Obvious.

2) The Obama Administration started an investigation into the Trump campaign and lied to the FISA court to obtain a FISA warrant.

False.

The FBI started a counterintelligence investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

There isn't one iota of evidence that the FBI lied to the FISA court.

3) This FISA warrant allowed the Obama Administration to spy on a political opponent in violation of the law, since the basis for the warrant was false.

Again FALSE.

Carter Page was no longer a member of the Trump campaign when the FISA warrant was authorized.

So, now the questions EVERYONE should be asking is "Did Biden know what was going on regarding the breaking of the law to spy on the campaign of a political opponent without real cause?  And, if so, when and what did he know about it?"

Actually, the question for EVERYONE should be WHY do some think that slinging conspiracy bullshit is a worthy debate method?
