Baseball Team's Memorial Day Tribute Lists AOC As One Of The 'Enemies Of Freedom'
“As for the enemies of freedom, those who are potential adversaries, they will be reminded that peace is the highest aspiration of the American people,” Reagan says as photos of Kim Jong Un, Fidel Castro, anti-fascism protesters, and Ocasio-Cortez appear. “We will negotiate for it, sacrifice for it, we will not surrender for it, now or ever. We are Americans.”

Baseball Team's Memorial Day Tribute Lists AOC As One Of The 'Enemies Of Freedom'

The Minor League Baseball team Fresno Grizzlies, which is affiliated with the Washington Nationals, apologized late Monday night for publishing a   Memorial Day tribute video   that accused Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) of being one of the “enemies of freedom.”

The video features a speech by former President Ronald Reagan, during which he heralds the “moral courage of free men and women” as America’s “formidable weapon.”

According to Fresno Bee reporter   Carmen George , the tribute was aired at a Grizzlies game on Monday.

“A pre-produced video from outside our front office was selected; unfortunately what was supposed to be a moving tribute ended with some misleading and offensive editing, which made a statement that was not our intent and certainly not our opinion,” the Grizzlies said in a statement posted on their Twitter account. “We apologize to our fans and to our community for the error and for not properly vetting the video.”

In a follow-up tweet a few hours later, the team apologized to Ocasio-Cortez directly.

“We unconditionally apologize to Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) in addition to our fans, community and those we hurt,” they tweeted. “It was a mistake and we will ensure that nothing like it ever happens again.”

Too bad!  If you did you would have made a correct statement for a change.

AOC is a politician now, and not everyone is going to fuss and  fawn over her.

She needs to get over it and develop a thicker skin if she wants to remain in this game.

This is an American professional baseball team representing a major city (Fresno California) slandering a member of the US Congress. It is , hmmm, deplorable.

Yes, they should have been slandering Trump and Republicans./S

AOC is typical of the new hard left. "We will force our views on you no matter what. You all must bounce the ball the same."  She is no better than the hard right.  The extremes of neither side should ever be capitulated to.

You want try to stay positive when putting something like this together. It's a perfectly good speech and the video is just fine except for the "terrorism/enemies" section. You don't need to actually show the enemies. Just keep showing good Americans.

There is much about 'this' which makes little sense.

I mean......uh.....the current president and his recent comments about Kim Jong Un.....uh....never mind.

Like I said...or didn't say....enemies of freedom...…"My Intelligence Agencies tell me this ( am paraphrasing) but I believe him," as he points to Putin.

Enemies of freedom?  Really?  Glad they apologized.  Are they sincere or simply being momentarily expedient?

Keep routing for war. I am sure that this time will fix everything. "Korea War II, this time we will get nation building right.  But it might need to include China; and that is if it turn doesn't turn nuclear."  Great f'ing idea.  Think our military is large enough to occupy North Korea and China at the same time.  That is if Russia doesn't enter the war when we invade China; and we don't blow ourselves to bits in the mean time.

Oh, and where the F were you when Obama caved to Iran in negotiations? Those sanctions snap back in place yet for Iran violating the deal yet?

Most nonproliferation experts would say Iran certainly defied the spirit of the U.N. resolution, but technically didn't violate it — because it contains no prohibition against such testing, as one of its predecessors, passed in 2010, specifically did.

Here's what the two resolutions say on the subject, with highlighting added:

U.N. Security Council Resolution 1929 , from 2010, says the Security Council "decides that Iran shall not undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using ballistic missile technology, and that States shall take all necessary measures to prevent the transfer of technology or technical assistance to Iran related to such activities."

In Resolution 2231, passed in 2015, the Security Council endorsed the nuclear deal, known formally as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or JCPOA. It terminated the provisions of the 2010 resolution and added language deep in one of the annexes saying: "Iran is called upon not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology, until the date eight years after the JCPOA Adoption Day or until the date on which the IAEA submits a report confirming the Broader Conclusion, whichever is earlier."

Great job by Obama and Kerry to allow such muddied language. Notice our NATO allies not caring; or backing us in putting sanctions back in place?  Way to give a terrorist state nuclear weapons in return for trade.  What has Trump given up compared to that with North Korea? He met with Un face to face. Oh, the horror. He gave a dictator a photo op. How will the US, or our supposed allies, ever survive?

AOC is in no way shape or form an "enemy of freedom". She wants things to be better for the working class of America and is more in the tradition of Cesar Chavez and Bobby Kennedy than Fidel Castro or Trump's buddy Kim Jong Un.

I dont think the time has come for AOC, but she is no "enemy of freedom".

And "antifa" is an enemy of freedom? If anything they are anarchists which is supposedly the epitomy of freedom. The right is losing it's mind.
