GOP Chair Claims D-Day Anniversary Should Be About 'Celebrating Our President'
Apparently, the “D” in D-Day stands for “ Donald Trump ,” at least according to Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee .
The GOP chair appeared on Fox Business on Wednesday to basically moan about the way the media has covered the president’s trip to Europe.
She then suggested that Trump should be a main focus of the 75th-anniversary commemoration of D-Day.
“We are celebrating the anniversary, 75 years of D-Day,” McDaniel said. “This is the time where we should be celebrating our president, the great achievements of America, and I don’t think the American people like the constant negativity.”

Jesus what a stupid bitch.
I'm sure the 'president' has a well written speech and I hope they told the toddler in chief not to go off script and make it all about him.
Dear Friend Tessylo: President Richard M. Nixon tried to co-op July 4th in his day with a "Celebrate America Day".
July the 4th is about celebrating our nation, all in it, all who made it what it is, and all who wil make it all it can be (hopefully).
It is not and never was solely about one person in one office.
Those handy with search engines can look up all that went wrong with the Nixon era co-op attempt.
History will repeat itself if tried again.
Best let July 4th be about our nation and all in it.
P&AB.
Enoch.
But this 'president' is going to co-op July 4th also and make it all about him.
Perhaps Trump should stop with the negativity.
Why should we be taking the anniversary of D-Day to celebrate a man who had absolutely nothing to do with it?
I can believe that she said this. I cannot, for the life of me, believe that the GOP thought this insane comment was actually worth highlighting.
We are totally with the negativity. The $100M golfing while gutting food medicine water and air safeguards is sort of bothering us. Selling arms to terrorist is pretty high up there too
What can one do if they do not have charm or good looks or a brilliant mind?
