The Question Is, Why Does Donald Trump Have A 'Type' When It Comes To Rape ?
This would seem to imply that there is a "type" of woman that Trump would consider raping

President* Trump was accused of rape the other day by a New York city advice columnist, E. Jean Carroll.  The woman claims that in the mid 1990's she encountered Trump in an upscale department store and in the midst of some flirting about lingerie he took her to a dressing room and violently sexually assaulted her, including brief penetration.

In his denial Trump first said "she's not my type" and then denied that he even knew E. Jean Carroll.

We all know that Trump is not articulate or accurate in the usage of words, but it seems a little extra excruciating to see the president of the United States dismiss a rape allegation with the observation that the victim is not sexually attractive to him.

This would seem to imply that there is a "type" of woman that Trump would consider raping, but he's likely too dimwitted to realize that. Or he doesn't care.

We have a year and a half to the election. How many more dozens or hundreds of bizarre comments like this is the President* going to make?

Will ANY Republicans or right wing conservatives voice an objection to his loutish behavior. It doesn't look like it.

Can you name another president who would make that comment.   I don't see even Bill Clinton saying that to reporters.

Saying "She's not my type" is admitting that he would have sexually assaulted her if she WAS his type.  When is Trump going to describe what "his type" consists of?  Other than looking like his daughter.

That comment is nonsensical and a total lie.

When is Trump going to describe what "his type" consists of?

If it truly interests you that much, ask Trump.

Why do you care so much what "his type" is anyways?

Other than looking like his daughter.

Yet another expected low-brow comment unworthy of respectable persons.

It seems that Trumps 'type' is any person with female genitals he can either grope or have intercourse with, consensual or not. Looks and boobs are secondary.

Thanks for the clarification and stating that this article is merely your opinion regarding an unsubstantiated claim made by advice columnist, E. Jean Carroll, that allegedly happened approximately 25 years ago.

One more thing, John - Ms. Carroll was sexually molested when she was 12 but never told anyone. Seems that she might have unresolved sexual issues.

Again, the article isnt about the truth of the allegation, it is about Trump saying that Carroll isnt the type of woman he would rape.

He said "she isnt my type"  in the course of professing his innocence to a rape accusation.

If being sexually molested means that one has 'unresolved sexual issues' then at least 25% of females qualify.

What is it that you agree with BF about? Something that is not the topic of the article?   Ok.

The article is not about the believability of the alleged victim. It's about the president of the United States saying that a woman isnt attractive enough, in his eyes, for him to rape her.

When he said "she's not my type" he said that as an answer to an inquiry as to whether or not he sexually assaulted her, not if he thought she was girlfriend material.

Do you think Trump behaves like a POTUS should?  Do you think his comment was excusable?

Sure.  This seems utterly plausible.....

How, exactly did he "take her" to the dressing room?  Was it at gunpoint?  Or did he grab her by the hair and drag her in there?  In the middle of Sak's?  Right.

You can't deny there are a lot of woman that fantasize about having sex with a gay guy and a lot of woman that have tried to seduce at least one.

Some women think they hold some magic power to turn gay men straight.

Isn't that crazy?

Almost as crazy as believing this woman's story!

I think her behavior clearly shows she's mentally unstable. She could even be suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's. Or she's a trmp plant

Meh.  I suspect she's simply on the Stormy Daniels Plan for padding the retirement nest egg a bit.

OK.

More retirement money is always welcome.  Nursing homes are expensive.

Yes I  can deny it.

I've never fantasized about having sex with a gay man or trying to seduce one.

Could be. He is desperate for a distraction from the testy issue with Iran right now and he knows that there are a good number of people on both sides who will devote endless hours to hashing and clashing about this topic for days on end now which will buy him some time.

The woman's disposition and character do seem rather odd.

I have to wonder what would happen if no one paid any attention to the story at all. It would be interesting to see what other kind of distraction Trump would come up with.

What does he need to distract from?

It would be interesting to see what other kind of distraction Trump would come up with.

Is this what the "independent" conspiracy theorist are contemplating?

Maybe Anderson, fake news, Cooper should have vetted his guest better instead of hoping to cash in on the latest Trump bashing to get the triggered snowflakes worked up.

I'm NOT an Independent. Please know what you are talking about before you comment to me. IF it is for nothing else but to Troll me, please try to do better. The only one you are impressing is yourself.

Typical stock response.

It doesn't matter WHAT Trump does, someone always chimes in with that crap about whatever he is doing is a distraction from something else, to the point it is now just comical.

Hell, if Trump wore a blue shirt or something else equally earth-shattering, it would be a distraction from________________.

"I was not thrown on the ground and ravaged," Carroll said, denying that she was a victim. "The word rape carries so many sexual connotations. This was not sexual. It just hurt."

She said: "I think most people think of rape as being sexy. They think of the fantasies."

Clearly uncomfortable, Cooper swiftly cut in and said they would take a quick break.

"You're fascinating to talk to," Carroll quipped as Cooper laughed nervously.

The interview wasn't going as Anderson would have liked, when Carroll said "I think most people think of rape as being sexy" Cooper was lost for words at that point he knew he was dealing with a whack-a-do with no credibility.

Perhaps the author and Ms. Carroll aren't aware of the fact that retail stores have had attendants directly outside men's and women's dressing room areas as well as surveillance cameras everywhere except in dressing rooms decades prior to the mid-1990s.

Upscale retail stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, where Carroll claims this "rape" allegedly occurred, have salespersons cater to customers' individual needs and are always nearby to help.

There's no way a Bergdorf attendant or salesperson would allow a man to enter a women's dressing room area (or vice versa) even in the 1990s.

Unless Ms. Carroll ponies up some proof, her allegation belongs in a folder labeled "just more Trump hate".
