Here are the Trump comments that sparked controversy
Media is flipping out at these comments, claiming he told the ‘Gang of Four’ to “go back to their own countries.”

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly......

He doesn’t actually reference AOC, Tlaib, Pressley or Omar by name. So no, he’s not saying they’re all from another country originally, as media is trying to say. He’s probably just referring to Omar.

and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how... badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

Nor does he is he saying just “go back to your own country,” it’s a much more nuanced comment in which he’s saying if they (Omar) thinks it’s so bad here, go back and solve the problem where you were and then come back and tell us how you did it. And thereby recognize how lucky it is that you are here. But media is skipping all that. Naturally.

But he should just not say anything when they are shooting themselves in the feet.

Well, Donald Trump took some of the heat off Nancy Pelosi.  Sort of the same thing he did for Joe Biden after Harris' stunt.

Of course, the dimmer wits will try to convince us that Trump is too stupid to know what he's doing.  I'd say there's more to the story.

It doesn't take a whole lot of smarts to understand that when opponents are eating their own, let them.

Trump knows that his tweets attract dimmer wits like moths to a flame.  Trump deliberately inserted himself into a Democratic cat-fight (twice) and I don't buy that Trump didn't know he would divert attention onto himself.

President Donald Trump is a walking, talking, refrain: "I need a shower after visiting, Donald Trump." If it was not for his mop-up crews, plural, he would have nothing resembling interesting in himself at all. He would just be an old fool sitting in the White House with wife, children, and a skeleton crew of staff for which he would be closely eye-balling to find one or two more to yell: "You're fired!"

Hi Dean! Overall, do you know what percentage of Republican caucus-goers in 2016 were Hispanic?

Despite Trump's hardline stance on immigration, especially illegal immigration, the entrance polls found that the billionaire real estate developer was supported by 45 percent of Hispanic voters. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio was backed by 28 percent of Hispanic voters, while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz garnered 18 percent of the Hispanic vote.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich earned 4 percent of the Hispanic vote, while retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson received 3 percent.

"You know what I really am happy about, because I've been saying it for a long time," Trump told supporters in his victory speech early Wednesday. " 46 percent with the Hispanics ... number one with Hispanics!"

Despite the apparently impressive result, Hispanic voters only made up 8 percent of Republican caucus-goers in Nevada. By contrast, 19 percent of caucus-goers in Saturday's Democratic contest were Hispani c.

as is this
Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.

Trump twice claims the women  (plural) came from other countries. He said THEY should go back where THEY came from.

AOC was born in The Bronx NYC, Pressley was born in Cinncinatti, and Tlaib was born in Detroit. They are all as American as Trump is. Omar came permanently to the United States when she was 10 years old.

BF, why are you supporting a moron like President* Trump?

He's right. We have people in this country, not just Congresspeople, who came here to escape atrocities of their own shithole countries, then begin to shit on the country that took them on and bettered their life.

If they don't like what this country has done for them, then maybe a return trip to where they originated from to fix that country and make it the utopia liberals think countries should be, then return here and show it how it's done.

Somehow, I don't think any of these idiots will take him up on the offer.

It isn't curious to me, it's an MO I've become used to. This isn't the first time I've challenged the bullshit being spewed about the press release.

I read an article about the press release and since I am not one to accept a 'representation' of a document, I actually searched far and wide for it. I may be the only one here that's actually READ the fucking thing. I was not surprised that the article misrepresented the content of the press release in order to fulfill an agenda.

So whenever I see someone misrepresenting it's content, I challenge their unfounded posit. I have yet to have one member cite the content of the actual press release. They seem to think that what they've read about it is sufficient to make a cogent argument and they get pissed off when I don't accept their proclamations.

Actually, Ozzwald made the assertion that at "he is POTUS and the ONLY reason he wasn't indicted is DOJ policy."

I was responding to that assertion and the vague reference to "read the Report" as the basis for that assertion.  Now, since I'm  not a troll and I'm smart enough to understand what he meant without asking silly questions and demanding links to the report, I rebutted his statement and referenced the press release as one piece of evidence that shows the falsity of his claim.  No need for histrionics about "burdens of proof."

How many posts is that now where you've refused to provide a substantive rebuttal? But like Nixon and his secret plan to end the war,  you have that secret rebuttal that you will never actually reveal. At the end of the day, you know, and I know, that I'm correct.  All your attempted  distractions and deflections and whining won't change that.

I have the data: (and more to the point, it comes from a conservative named, Shapiro):

The Attorney General has previously stated that the Special Counsel repeatedly affirmed that he was not saying that, but for the OLC opinion, he would have found the President obstructed justice. The Special Counsel's report and his statement today made clear that the office concluded it would not reach a determination - one way or the other - about whether the President committed a crime. There is no conflict between these statements.

"[U]nder longstanding department policy, a president cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office," Mueller said. "That is unconstitutional. Even if the charge is kept under seal and hidden from public view, that, too, is prohibited.
A special counsel’s office is part of the Department of Justice, and by regulation, it was bound by that department policy. Charging the president with a crime was therefore not an option we could consider."
Source:

Reading through the comments I am still not clear on the #1 issue that is causing the snag here. But, with Dulay's and Ozzwald's permission or assistance I want to get to the bottom of this!

So what's up?

"Rep. Rashida Tlaib has defended her   controversial comments   about having a “calming feeling” when she thinks about Palestinians offering a “safe haven for Jews” after the Holocaust.

The Michigan Democrat, one of two Muslim women in Congress, drew fire last week from Republicans after   speaking on the Yahoo podcast “Skullduggery,” where she was asked about her support for a one-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

“There’s kind of a calming feeling I always tell folks when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors, Palestinians, who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people’s passports,” Tlaib said.

Those statements indicate two things: 1) The speaker is ignorant of history (Palestinians NEVER OFFERED A SAFE HAVEN FOR JEWS) and 2) the speaker has very deep feelings for "her ancestors" who were Palestinians. She has demonstrated via other comments of her lack of empathy for the US and as shown here, her lack of empathy for Jews specifically. There is no question about where her true loyalties lie...She is a Palestinian first regardless of where she was born.

And:

Palestinians NEVER OFFERED A SAFE HAVEN FOR JEWS

See there Sean, she never said that the Palestinians OFFERED anything.

If you're going to insist on holding someone responsible for saying something, the LEAST you can do it quote them accurately and arguing the ACTUAL statement on it's merits. Arguing against a FALSE quote only diminishes your credibility.
