Burp...
Sadly this is what the Burmese phython is doing to the Florida Everglades. As an invasive species they are killing off the natural inhabitants of the glades.
When I lived in Australia I did see a couple of these snakes..Impressive to say the least.
I have the idea that the croc was already dead when the python found it - there are no scenes of struggle.
I'm in favor of bounties to slow invasive species... but there's nothing that will really stop them.
I didn't think snakes, even constrictors, ate carrion. I have seen pictures of other snakes eating gators and crocks; but those were all still living.
Most invasive species have no natural predators to keep their numbers in check; so they can reproduce faster than than humans can dispatch of them.
Dunno about the carrion. I was kinda wondering, though, why the croc went so quietly...
