I will admit I received a free McDonald's breakfast this morning using my, "on call for work card". I wish I felt guilty about it.
Poor guy in a completely rusted out pickup that should never have been let on the road ran me up on the curb of the McDonald's entrance just to get in line in front of me in the drive through line. I could have blown it off; but after getting two hours of sleep- and my home internet going down- I needed some fast food and to get into work to handle the latest disaster of the weekend. I don't have an actual card, but I do have an annoying work cell phone that never seems to stop. I also have my father's temper, and the propensity to leave the windows down no matter how cold it gets. I think the entire line, including the workers, got to see my card several times. The driver that cut me off paid for my breakfast. I didn't ask him to, and he paid me back by cutting me off while exiting as well.
The card usually doesn't work that way; but it does usually allow me to cut in line in the market, bank, and Secretary of States office.
White people have so many legitimate grievances to express, I do not know how they manage. Truly remarkable people.

Thank you. I appreciate that very much.
How's your privilege?
