Campaign Manager: Trump family building ‘dynasty’ for decades to come
Parscale later declined to elaborate on his prediction of a coming Trump “dynasty,” or whether the president’s children could become candidates for public office. He told reporters after the speech, “I just think they are a dynasty. I think they are all amazing people with ... amazing capabilities.”

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) — President Donald Trump’s campaign manager predicted Saturday that the president and his family will become “a dynasty that will last for decades,” transforming the Republican Party while hewing to conservative values.

Speaking to a convention of Republican Party delegates in Indian Wells, California, Brad Parscale also said the campaign’s goal is to build a national army of 2 million trained volunteers, far beyond the president’s 2016 organization, that in California could help the GOP retake a string of U.S. House seats captured by Democrats last year.

“The Trumps will be a dynasty that will last for decades, propelling the Republican Party into a new party,” he said. “One that will adapt to changing cultures. One must continue to adapt while keeping the conservative values that we believe in.”

Parscale later declined to elaborate on his prediction of a coming Trump “dynasty,” or whether the president’s children could become candidates for public office.

He told reporters after the speech, “I just think they are a dynasty. I think they are all amazing people with ... amazing capabilities.”

Parscale’s speech was a highlight of the weekend GOP conclave, in which party delegates sought to map out an election strategy in an increasingly Democratic state that Trump lost by over 4 million votes in 2016. Polls show the president remains widely unpopular outside California’s depleted GOP ranks.

Parscale also acknowledged the obvious — that California was not a target for Trump in the 2020 campaign. He declined to respond directly when asked by a reporter if Trump would campaign for candidates in the state known as the home of the so-called Trump resistance. He said that would be the president’s decision.

“This is not a swing state,” Parscale said to laughter from the capacity crowd.

However, he emphasized the campaign would invest heavily in the state as it builds a sprawling volunteer network that could help candidates across the ballot.

“Many of you are worried that we have written you guys off, that California doesn’t matter,” Parscale said. But “there’s a lot of work out here to be done.”

Even so, the outlook for California’s GOP in 2020 is challenging.

The party’s struggles in California over recent years are well-documented. Democrats control every statewide office and both chambers of the Legislature, while holding a nearly 4-million edge in voter registrations. Both U.S. Senate seats are in Democratic hands, and the party has a 46-7 edge over Republicans in U.S. House seats in the state.

Meanwhile, the GOP has withered to third-party status, with its voters significantly outnumbered by Democrats and independents. One would have to go back to 1988 to find a Republican presidential candidate who carried the state, George H.W. Bush.

Nonetheless, party leaders attending the convention say they plan to make an aggressive push to gain ground in 2020, including an effort to win back U.S. House seats, including several districts all or partly in Orange County, a one-time nationally known GOP stronghold southeast of Los Angeles.

“We are ready to take the fight back to the Democrats,” Republican National Committee member Harmeet Dhillon told delegates. She was followed on stage by several congressional candidates, including Young Kim, who is hoping for a rematch with Rep. Gil Cisneros in the 39th District that cuts through northern Orange County.

“We will kick his butt out,” Kim said, to hearty applause.

Parscale repeatedly urged the delegates and activists to get involved in the campaign, saying face-to-face contact was the best way to persuade voters.

A turnaround won’t be easy.

“The California Republican Party isn’t salvageable at this time,” Kristin Olsen, a former Republican leader in the state Assembly, wrote after the 2018 elections in which Democrats strengthened their grip on political power in the state.

With its numbers shriveling, the state GOP has debated for years whether the party needs to turn to the political center or right. As far back as 2007, Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger warned the party was “dying at the box office” and needed to claim issues usually associated with the Democratic agenda, including climate change and health care reform.

The last significant push by a Republican presidential candidate to win California was in 2000, when George W. Bush was backed by more than $15 million, then lost to Democrat Al Gore by 12 points.

Trump's Campaign Manager Brad Parscale Has Blown Millions
GettyImages-623643866.jpg

Brad Parscale has been promoted from President Donald Trump’s digital media manager to his 2020 campaign manager. Since the promotion, he’s been blowing millions on cars and real estate, even though his stated salary is only $15,000 a month.

This year alone he’s bought a $2.4 million waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale, a $78,300 BMW, and a $146,000 Range Rover, according to the  Daily Mail . This was just months after Parscale and his wife had spent $2 million on condos in the Fort Lauderdale area.

In the mid-2000s, Parscale and his family lost their company to bankruptcy. Which is why his recent spending spree raised eyebrows, given his relatively meager salary based off donations.

According to  the  Daily Mail , Parscale also earns a percentage of all contributions to the Trump 2020 re-election campaign, and from the Republican National Committee which has paid his company Parscale Digital $7.3 million so far this year.

“I make no secret about the fact that working for the Trump family made me a wealthy man well before I ever became President Trump’s campaign manager,” Parscale told the  Daily Mail . “The President is an excellent businessman and being associated with him for years has been extremely beneficial to my family.”

Parscale told  60 Minutes  in 2017 that he had received an email through his company in 2015 to make a website for Trump’s presidential run and he agreed to do it for $1,500. By the time the election was over, Parscale sold his business CloudCommerce for $10 million.

In what is described as a “highly unusual arrangement,” Washington insiders told the  Daily Mail  that Parscale’s companies and their subsidiaries get a percentage of most of the contributions to the Trump 2020 campaign, which now top $56.8 million. In total, according to the AP, Parscale is on the payroll of five companies with ties to the campaign.

Both the RNC and the Trump campaign have utilized Parscale’s companies, mostly Parscale Digital and Parscale Strategy, for millions of dollars worth of service.

Tim Murtaugh, the Trump campaign director of communications, responded, “‘Neither Brad Parscale, nor any of his companies, receive a percentage of money spent on advertising buys or a percentage of campaign contributions,” according to the  Daily Mail .

“The suggestion that he is siphoning off a percentage of donations is a lie. Brad receives a monthly salary, and amounts paid to other entities are for staff salaries and services provided. There are no percentages involved anywhere. To report that because he – or anyone – is paid any amount by the campaign means he is receiving a ‘percentage’ of donations is deceptive and deliberately inflammatory. The same could be said for anyone receiving a paycheck from the campaign,” Murtaugh said.

Minus:

bought a $2.4 million waterfront mansion

$146,000 Range Rover

spent $2 million on condos

Leaves how many millions left over????

Only a Common Core Math idiot would find anything suspicious here considering how many millions he started out with and his current salary alone could pay for the cars alone in less than two years...but don't let mere facts and math get in the way of another non-conspiracy, right????

The Borgias were considered the first crime family by Mario Puzo who wrote a book based on each member of the Borgia Family, it's called the Godfather.  I have read a lot of about the Borgias and they are fascinating.

The tRumps are a bunch of thugs, conmen, grifters, gangsters, thieves.  They pale in comparison to the Borgias.

My dad gave me a book on the Borgias and their enemies.  They had a lot of them.  In one of the shows, HBO did a fantastic job with that series, where the Pope was poisoned, all the cardinals and bishops were praying for his death.

Where are you getting your news from? The outlook for the next couple of years on the economy is pretty damn good actually. Of course The Balance isn't one of the partisan fake news sites , so it probably isn't that familiar a name to most. From Media Bias/Fact Check :

Analysis / Bias

In review, when reporting on political issues related to economics The Balance maintains neutrality and presents both sides of the argument. For example, in this article  Donald Trump on Immigration, Pros and Cons of His Policies , The Balance looks at both sides and fairly present its arguments. This article is also perfectly sourced to credible media outlets and sources such as Whitehouse.gov, USA Today and Pew Research . In general, The Balance is actually quite balanced in reporting and mostly sticks to its expertise of reporting on finance and investing.

A factual search reveals they have not failed a fact check.

Overall, we rate The Balance Least Biased based on minimal use of loaded language and balanced reporting of financial news. We also rate them High for factual reporting due to excellent sourcing and a clean fact check record. (D. Van Zandt 12/05/2017) Updated (2/16/2019)

I have seen posters on fox fake news explain how the trumps could hold office all the way until Baron is in his 50's. Since it's unlikely that donny will win in 2020, (I didn't say it's impossible), I simply laughed at them.

I doubt that the GOP will ever control CA. again, their economy and ecology destroying policies simply are not welcome there. And before someone calls BS?

7 of the top 10 best state economies are blue states.

Hmmm...and where exactly in those states are the areas that drag down there economies??? What color are those areas-red or blue? I'm asking because I have heard rumors that outside of the "blue" cities that are sinking the economies of these poorly performing red states, the rest of the state communities appears to be doing just fine. Is that true?

You can spin all you want, but at the end of the day, own it, most red states are fucking broke.
