Trump Suggests That Congress Investigate Obama’s ‘Ridiculous Netflix Deal’

President Donald Trump on Monday suggested that the House Judiciary Committee should redirect its efforts from questions about his own business operations and potential conflicts of interest to those of his predecessor, Barack Obama.

“House Judiciary has given up on the Mueller Report, sadly for them after two years and $40,000,000 spent – ZERO COLLUSION, ZERO OBSTRUCTION. So they say, OK, lets look at everything else, and all of the deals that ‘Trump’ has done over his lifetime,” Trump   tweeted.   But it doesn’t….”

“But it doesn’t…work that way. I have a better idea. Look at the Obama Book Deal, or the ridiculous Netflix deal. Then look at all the deals made by the Dems in Congress, the ‘Congressional Slush Fund,’ and lastly the IG Reports. Take a look at them. Those investigations would be over FAST!” he   concluded .

A White House representative did not immediately respond to request for comment on what aspect of Obama’s forthcoming book or his new Netflix   partnership   the president feels should be investigated.

In addition, despite Trump’s assertion the House Judiciary Committee continues to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election. Last week the panel   voted to seek   former special counsel Robert Mueller’s most sensitive materials, including evidence and testimony from a grand jury, as part of its inquiry.

A representative for the the former president and First Lady Michelle Obama did not immediately respond to a request for response.

Last year, the Obamas announced a multiyear deal with Netflix to produce a diverse mix of content, including scripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries and features, under their Higher Ground Productions banner. The company’s first release, the documentary “American Factory,” began streaming last month.

Trump is the bull in a china shop, we just have about 40% of Americans who shrug their shoulders every time he kicks another shelf smashing Presidential norms or stomps all over our western allies. The other 60% of Americans shake their heads and keep pointing out the damage he's doing daily. Should we stop mentioning it anymore because no one is actually taking any action to get the bull out of the store? Do we stop talking about every new low, every new attack on our democracy just because this President has taken such a plethora of egregious actions? Do we ignore when he makes such stupid comments like saying the government should investigate a now private citizens book deal? Exactly what would a media company be supposedly bribing a former President to do when the former President has no influence in the government what-so-ever? It's ludicrous on the face of it. Personally I believe this President does such things so as to obfuscate or diminish any critics of his actual actions and policy, they are a smoke screen that gets all his critics talking about this nonsense instead of focusing on his misuse of his charity, the multiple counts of obstruction laid out in the Mueller report, the investigation into someone directing the military to stay at Trump resorts and the investigations into his financial ties and suspicious loans with Deutsch-bank.

Donald Trump participated in a tax fraud scheme with his parents and siblings over a course of many years. The New York Times laid it out in complete detail last fall.  We also know that Trump defrauded hundreds of people with Trump University and paid out 25 million dollars to end the lawsuits against him. He also cheated investors in his Atlantic City casino business. Along with his children, Trump lied to potential buyers about the units sold rates of various condo projects, which is also fraud.  He's a known crook.  There is little doubt that additional investigations into Trumpworld will uncover business "irregularities".

His "defenders" cant defend him, all they can do is insult those who call Trump out and pretend there is nothing wrong.

They certainly weren't smashing everything in sight.

My bull in the china shop analogy made me think, what would the reaction have been from a large group of Neanderthals watching a bull smash dishes, plates, salad bowls and other fine china? They would likely have been laughing and gleeful considering the fact they don't ever use the utensils of a civilized society, they eat with their hands and grunt a lot. I imagine it would be very similar to the reaction we've seen from Trump supporters to Trump smashing into all the trappings of civilized society that his followers ridicule like higher educations, tech job training, green technology and basic manners.

Just because when the progressive cats were running the store they stopped stocking the plastic "Dukes of Hazard" decorated plate sets, the bitter confederate flag loving Neanderthals have decided it should be open season on every piece of finery left on the shelves. Sad.

The Mueller investigation, which they hang their hats on was a waste of several millions of dollars.

" A total of thirty-four individuals and three companies were indicted by Mueller's investigators. Eight have pleaded guilty to or been convicted of felonies , including five Trump associates and campaign officials."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Counsel_investigation_(2017%E2%80%932019)

It also gave us 10 clear accounts of obstruction which will eventually be litigated once the commander in-competent leaves office in January, 2021. And while it couldn't prove criminal conspiracy with an enemy foreign government, it did conclude that due to the number of Trump officials who lied and the lack of candor from the President refusing to answer questions in person, that the investigation in no way clears the President of criminal conspiracy.

History, and likely his future cell mate, will not be kind to Donald Trump.

So what else do you have from nearly 30 years ago that you imagine is relevant? This what-about-ism game seems fun! Nothing is too shameless, there is no bottom to how low they'll go, as long as they can use other irrelevant people from the past's bad actions as an excuse for their own acceptance of vile horrid unacceptable behavior!

Trump was not indicted by the Mueller report. Citing what happened to others is deflecting away that nothing happened to Trump.

You said "The Mueller investigation, which they hang their hats on was a waste of several millions of dollars.".

I pointed out the large amount of criminality it turned up, proving it was not a waste of time. Just because it was not able to prove Trumps criminality does not make it a wasted effort.

Trump will be POTUS until the 2024 election

The majority of Americans don't agree and are hoping this continual embarrassment is ended as soon as possible.

I have faith in those American people who hold our values dear and haven't sold their souls to a foreign enemy, especially one as vile as Vladimir Putin. Those Americans who embrace our collective values of equality, diversity and justice for all regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, faith or lack thereof will be voting this President out of office next year, and while it is speculation that there will be any prosecution, if ever there was a man who deserved to have every cavity of his life inspected it's that disgusting fat turd pretending to be a human and a President tweeting from his gold painted toilet throne.

Trump Biographer Has A Theory About POTUS' Obama Netflix Deal Obsession

710c91c0-4b9c-11e7-8912-374be9390b1b_H-1   Lee Moran, HuffPost   3 hours ago

5d808d7f2300005805555c9c.jpg

A biographer of  Donald Trump  on Monday suggested why the president really attacked former President  Barack Obama ’s  Netflix deal .

“Obama may win an Emmy, and Trump has been resentful about Emmys,”  Michael D’Antonio , who wrote the book “ The Truth About Trump ,” told CNN’s Don Lemon.

Netflix’s “American Factory” — the first documentary released by Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama’s production company — has been  hotly tipped for awards success . Trump, however, has often groused about  never winning an Emmy  for the reality business show “The Apprentice.”

D’Antonio’s quip came during a discussion about Trump’s obsession with his predecessor. The author had earlier noted that “Obama was a very profound man. Trump is a very profane man. These are polar opposites.”

“One man denigrates women,” D’Antonio continued. “The other marries the woman he loves and stays married to her and continues to love her. The difference between these people is more than black and white. It’s everything. It’s the essence of their humanity, and Trump knows that people see it.”
