The Message is a Meme
Internet memes, (pronounced Meems) have become a way of spreading a message virally, as described by Richard Dawkins and apparently it's true. Even on NT, our busy little meme-makers, send their message far and wide. How do I know this? I will tell you.
I had a funny little discussion about internet Memes impact with one of our members who loves a good meme and they told me that they could find their meme on Google. This surprised me. I mean I know that we have a footprint out on the interwebs after being around for almost 10 years, but our memes showing up on google hit me as odd.
So I googled thenewstalkers.com memes, and OMG, there we were... years worth of memes generated by our members.
So the next time you think our message is getting lost out there on the internet, think again. We might not be one of the biggest sites out there, but our discussions do have an impact.

Well all you creative types, you have a win here. But please remember, memes can not be used as an article... yeah I know... I'm a killjoy. This is equally about our discussions we have here and why we should keep them interesting, informative and yes even funny.
I make memes sometimes, or borrow them from some other source, and I think they are clever or funny, but I would still rather bang out a couple good paragraphs expressing my opinion on something.
But truthfully, I think more people look at the memes than read the paragraphs.
I think they do both. It just depends on the individual.
btw.. borrowing memes doesn't count! Only original ones do.

How does one make a meme?
My first attempt:
I use makeameme.org because it's free.
I rarely do that anymore. I was spending too much time trying to create the perfect image.
Now I just search Google images and find an image I like; then I add my message using makeameme.org.
It's quick and easy.
It was easy. I searched for cat photos and inserted the text and there I am.
I am lazy. I just google.

Does the meme maker do gifs?
No.
Butt there are also free gif makers available.
I found one and tried it. It sends it back in an mp4 format that won't take here.
Oh well.
If you search (Google images) "al jizzerror's memes" you'll see a few of my memes.

I was soooooooooo disappointed after that popped up. It was like ….."Shit, why the heck did spend all that time watching it to just see a big spider in the end". I forgot all about the scary clown up to that point.

When you click the square with the little arrow the "embed local media" menu opens. There's a "size" option on the upper left side. When you click it a top down menu gives several size options. Use "xxxlarge-800px" for a big pic.
Got it.
And size does matter.....
