Antique cars commemorate historic run

Participants take part in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run in the UK on Nov 4, 2019. The 96.56 km, or 60-mile, journey was undertaken by more than 600 pre-1905 motorized vehicles, some of which suffered frequent breakdowns. The run commemorates the Emancipation Run of Nov 14, 1896, a milestone legislation that raised the speed limit for "light locomotives" from 4 mph to 14 mph and came after the requirement for a man to walk in front of all moving vehicles waving a red flag was abolished. Note that this event took place in England. I have never seen an OLD car in China, let alone an antique one. Only in Chinese movies have I seen vintage cars.
The world could use more of these kinds of events. Maybe we would lighten up a bit.
So could TheNewsTalkers front page.
