One of the most prominent figures on Fox News isn’t joining in on the cheerleading of   President Donald Trump’s assassination of Iran’s most important military leader.

During his show on Friday, host Tucker Carlson delivered a lengthy monologue criticizing the escalation of tensions with Iran sparked by the killing of   Iranian Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, who died in a U.S. airstrike in Iraq on Thursday.

“Washington has wanted war with Iran for decades,” Carlson said. “They still want it now.

Let’s hope they haven’t finally gotten it.”

“Washington has wanted war with Iran for decades,” Carlson said. “They still want it now. Let’s hope they haven’t finally gotten it.”

During his show on Thursday, the Fox News host laid out the ways that Soleimani had destabilized the region and helped encourage attacks on the U.S.

But he also argued that war with Iran was pointless, saying the benefits of conflicts in the Middle East have been mostly “nonexistent” and have “turned out to be longer, bloodier, and more expensive than we were promised.”

No one in Washington is in the mood for big-picture questions right now,” he said. “Questions like: Is Iran really the greatest threat we face? And who’s actually benefiting from this? And why are we continuing to ignore the decline of our country in favor of jumping into another pointless quagmire, from which there’s no obvious exit?”

Well Tucker, since you asked-- I will put your mind at ease by providing the answer!

Why are we jumping into another quagmire from which there's no obvious exit? Simple: because our Chicken-Hawk president needs to distract the public from the negative aspect of the fact that's he's been impeached. That's why!

(Your're welcome :^)

Tucker is a Libertarian, who is pretty much opposed to any type of military interaction. That is not a bad view to have.

What this shows, however, is that conservatives are able to think for themselves and have opposing views, while still getting along and not attacking each other because of our views.

On the other hand, most liberals are strictly lockstep with the hive. Very, very rarely will you see a liberal step out of the hive, and if they did, they will be attacked relentlessly by that same hive.

Ask minorities what happens when they step off the plantation.

Aha!

So that's why they are all supporting the same person for president!

(With not a single liberal dissenting!)

Honestly.  Should have been-------"Fox News host comes out"----and let it go at that.

Tucker's long tie cuts off oxygen and blood supply to his head.

Honestly.

Honesty had nothing to do with it!

(After all, this is Tucker Carlson!)

Hot damn, we agree!

The assassination was poorly thought out, and now we may have completely fucked ourselves. Diplomacy is no longer an option, now we have only WW1 style escalation unless someone decides to back down.

We all know Trump is too stupid to stop this. Maybe the rest of the world can hold it off until we have a new president.

More semantics.

When did drone strikes become air strikes?  I thought Air strikes were by pilots in airplanes?

It's as stupid as arguing over whether Yamamoto, Al-Awaaki and Soleimani were executed or assassinated.

You execute someone who has been captured, they know what's coming

You assassinate someone by surprise who never saw it coming. (at least not long enough to say a meaningful prayer)

Bush declared a War on Terror in 2001, Obama declared it over in 2013.

Pence declared in Oct 2017 that the real war on terror began in Beirut in 1983 and hasn't stopped, thus giving Trump the power to act.
