Ukraine Launches Investigation

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

The good news for President Donald Trump is that he’s finally managed to get Ukraine to launch an investigation.

The bad news is it’s into an alleged surveillance campaign on Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, carried out by the president’s associates.

Ukraine made the announcement Thursday, with its Ministry of Internal Affairs releasing a statement saying it “took note of the possible illegal surveillance on the territory of Ukraine by former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.” She was recalled from her position in May following what she has described as a smear campaign against her from Trump and his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani. This week, House Democratic investigators released a trove of documents obtained from the phone of Lev Parnas, an associate of Giuliani’s, which implied he had access to people tracking Yovanovitch’s movements in Kyiv. Ukraine’s statement said international law “guarantees protection, safety, and untouchability for diplomats of any foreign state on the territory of Ukraine.”

When was there  a time the media wasn't openly attacking and mocking him?

I've answered my question. They pumped up his candidacy during the primary when HRC thought he would be the easiest Republican to beat.  As soon as he clinched the nomination, the attacks began.

Of course they mock him, he is an utter fool.  His cast of characters belong in a Tarantino movie, sans the violence presumably.

Trump has succeeded in turning the usual national focus on the presidency into a ridiculous tv reality game show type thing, if that sort of nonsense floats your boat.

The majority of GOP elected officials mocked him long before that.

Have to go back to when he was in military academy...
... the attacks began.

People in the Tristate area ( PA NJ NY ) and CT have been on Trump's case since he got involved with his fathers shady real estate empire in the 70's.

From discrimination issues with his rentals to his casino successes flops and eminent domain lawsuits against little old lady's

Trump was at least locally known as a prick who stiffed everyone and never honored a contract or paid in full.

The GAO announced today that OMB violated the law by withholding funds destined for Ukraine by Congress.

That report cites Trump [the president] like 20 times. It says the reason given by the OMB for withholding the funds was base on Trump's 'policy priorities'. Verboten under the ICA
