Feds blame Bill de Blasio for murder, sex assault of 92-year-old woman (01/14/2020)
It was a deadly choice to release a man on an active ICE detainer back onto the streets

Federal officials on Tuesday blamed Mayor de Blasio for a fatal sex attack on a 92-year-old Queens woman — saying his “sanctuary city” policy kept the accused killer from being held for deportation last year.

It's hard to take serious an article where the title is incorrect

The title has been corrected to match the seed now, SP

Why direct the correction to people who see through the error. The fault is with the original nit-picker.

As a "woman", that's all you can add to the discussion?

I hope the Feds follow through with their "warning" to the cities and states who are "aiding, abetting and harboring" Illegal Aliens and are refusing to work with the Feds in the apprehension of the criminals such as Khan.

Wow that was super important.

It’s a typo. Follow the link. It says “woman” with an “a.” Feel better now?

More importantly, the title has been corrected to match the seed now, SP

Sanctuary policies are dangerous for Americans.

Democrats need to stop them.

How can anyone support a party that thinks illegal aliens are more important than US citizens' safety?

Don't people tire of hearing these stories that sanctuary policies make possible?

Don't all Americans support the Constitution and the Civil Rights laid out within?

Don't people tire of hearing these stories that sanctuary policies make possible?

Yes, absolutely.  People are tired of hearing that each person physically on US soil has the same civil rights regardless of citizenship status.

.

One might also say that many of the same people are sick and tired of the daily gun shootings in spite of, or because of their feelings about the 2nd Amendment.

What's that have to do with sanctuary policies and the effects of those policies on American citizens?

Yes, absolutely.  People are tired of hearing that each person physically on US soil has the same civil rights regardless of citizenship status.

And each person is expected to obey our laws. Including immigration laws. Come here legally, well, welcome to you. Illegally--get out.

One might also say that many of the same people are sick and tired of the daily gun shootings in spite of, or because of their feelings about the 2nd Amendment.

Well, this isn't about feelings. This about law.

and obtaining guns improperly...

If you chose to support dumbass sanctuary policies, go for it.

I simply refuse to engage in such activities that put Americans at risk needlessly, especially when the people can be deported quite easily.

Otherwise, we will continue to see stories such as this one, where illegal aliens benefit from sanctuary policies and are turned loose to terrorize yet more victims. Gee, doesn't THAT sound so smart?

Laws actually have to be enforced to work at all. Why don't you want laws enforced? Why do you want criminals set free to wreak havoc on American citizens?

To me, sanctuary policies aid and abet lawbreakers.

I simply refuse to engage in such activities that put Americans at risk needlessly,

Pray, tell us what activities you could engage in that put the rest of us at risk?

especially when the people can be deported quite easily.

Apparently that's not the case, especially if they can afford counsel.

You could start with your Congressional Rep, then your Senator and ask to get more judges hired.

Hell you could probably tweet the President directly and tell him it would lower unemployment even more.

When Jeff Sessions took over, he stripped Federal Judges and the Board of Immigration Appeals from Administratively

closing cases that ICE showed no interest in pursuing so they could move other cases through more quickly.

At the time there was a back log of 750,000 deportation cases

with 350,000 "closed" cases that ICE was instructed to "restart".  That's one million cases in the pipeline.

1,086,696 to be exact as of today

Why don't you want laws enforced?

Oh please show me where I stated that, ever...typical strawman argument.

Why do you want criminals set free to wreak havoc on American citizens?

Please...Don't put words in my mouth, it's very unbecoming.
