Multiple sources from local media have confirmed several people have died after a gunman opened fire in the building.

Miluwakee police earlier said they were investigating a "critical incident" following the events at the MillerCoors beer brewing company.

There were claims of an active shooter situation at the site.

US news anchor, Toya Washington tweeted: "Active shooter situation at @MolsonCoors aka #MillersCoors in #MKE.

"Any additional information is appreciated."

The company urged its employers to find a safe place to hide as reports emerged of an active shooter.

It told employees via email there was an active shooter located in or near South Packaging, Building 4, second-floor stairwell.

One man, James Boyles, told local news his wife, Lasonya Ragdales was stuck inside.

She is locked inside an office room with co-workers, texting her husband from inside the building.

Police responsed at 2:11pm local time to 4115 W. State Street for a report of a shooting.

It has been said officers from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, Marquette University Police Department and US Marshals are also responding to the incident.

Members of the public have been asked to stay away from the cordoned off scene.

Molson Coors tweeted: "There is an active situation at our Milwaukee facility and we are working closely with the Milwaukee Police Department. Our top priority is our employees and we’ll provide updates in conjunction with the police as we are able."

As of a few minutes ago, MSNBC was not covering this story, other than to say they are "monitoring the situation".

We have now reached the point where mass shootings are not newsworthy.

Because people have become desensitized to these killing sprees.

The cable news networks care only about politics anymore.

Another day, another shooting. Even with the covid-19 keeping me holed up in my apartment I feel safer in China than I would feel in the USA.

Many years ago, a person could be fired from his job for no reason at all - like back in the days of the wild west, and there were no consequences. Then legislation was passed that required cause, or notice and compensation, or else the employer was liable to be sued for improper termination. Nowadays, employers take the chance that a terminated employer will commit a massacre at his former workplace. Surely you are not blind to the fact that that is happening these days - because with everyday shootings we're back in the days of the wild west again, and we didn't even need a DeLorean to get there.

It must be wonderful living in a communist Utopia.
