When Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot was asked if there was anything she’d like to say to Donald Trump , she was ready with an answer.
“I will encode what I really want to say to Donald Trump. It’s two words: It begins with ‘F’ and it ends with ‘U.’” she said on Friday.

Lightfoot’s comment came in reaction to a tweet the president posted early Friday morning where he threatened protesters demanding the arrest of the four Minneapolis police officers responsible for George Floyd’s death by saying, “When the looting starts, the shooting starts.”
The Chicago mayor also said the president’s comment “was profoundly dangerous,” according to WGN TV . “And we must stand firm in solidarity and say this is totally unacceptable no matter who the speaker is.”
Lightfoot added: “And we see the game he is playing. Because he’s transparent and he’s not very good at it.”

Given your anger of the Lake of the Ozarks, I assumed your Chicago post would be about the recurring practice of groups of Chicagoans ignoring social distancing and confronting police for daring to arrest someone on a weapons charges. Sounds like she's got everything under control: " On Tuesday night, a crowd threw bottles and cursed at police officers as they arrested an 18-year-old man on gun charges near where a 5-year-old girl and two teenage boys were wounded in a drive-by shooting, authorities said."
I guess she must have also solved Chicago's covid problem since Lightfoot told police to allow large gatherings without interference. Nor a gun problem, since the community doesn't want illegal guns of the street.
But hey, she swears at the President so she must be doing a good job. Pay no attention to the all the shootings when the city is on "lockdown." Maybe if you found a mayor who talked even more like a 10 year boy, the shootings would go away.

Since most of these things that you think justify Trump's criminality and stupidity and buffoonish cruelty were done by executive order or presidential fiat and not done through legislation, you should realize that they could all be reversed by the next president as soon as Trump is gone. I dont know if the next president will choose to issue orders reversing Trumps orders in every case, but there is no doubt that a lot of that WILL HAPPEN.

As for him setting the course of the courts for a generation, there are always judges retiring and the next president will appoint a lot of federal judges also. Trump's criminal stupidity is putting the GOP senate advantage in jeopardy. If the Democrats win the House and Senate and presidency you may end up wishing Trump was never born.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is a typical Democrat who doesn’t believe the rules or the law apply to her, and that would include her own.
Readers may recall that, shortly after she issued a stay-at-home order due to the coronavirus pandemic which required “non-essential businesses” like, say, barbershops and hair salons to close, she violated it by going to a stylist and having her hair done.
She later defended her ‘do as I say, not as I do’ attitude by claiming she’s the “face” of the city and besides, why do we care anyway with so much death going on around us?
“I think what really people want to talk about is, we’re talking about people dying here. We’re talking about significant health disparities. I think that’s what people care most about,” the hypocrite mayor claimed.
Well, okay, being a hypocrite about haircuts is one thing, but when you’re a constitutional hypocrite, that’s something else because it involves actual violations of rights bequeathed to Americans from an entity far above Lightfoot’s paygrade.

On Friday, the mayor praised the destructive rioters in Minneapolis who are using George Floyd’s unfortunate death an excuse to behave like lawless thugs and burn buildings to the ground while looting local Target stores.
She also blasted President Donald Trump for having the temerity to exclaim that if the Minneapolis mayor and state governor couldn’t get things under control in the deep blue city, he would step in and restore order.
That, Lightfoot said, was “fomenting” violence.
“We see the game he’s playing because it’s so transparent and he’s not very good at it. He wants to show failures on the part of Democratic local leaders to throw red meat to his base. His goal is to polarize, to destabilize local government and inflame racist urges. And we can absolutely not let him prevail,” she said, without any evidence or desire to cite some.

There’s no other way that you can read that tweet than fomenting, encouraging violence against residents in a city or in cities across the country who are expressing themselves and exercising their First Amendment rights,” Lightfoot claimed.
‘First Amendment rights?’ You know what else is contained in the First Amendment? The right to freely practice your religious faith.

Lightfoot has no issue with Left-wing anarchy taking place on the streets of another mayor’s city because that’s ‘speech.’ But she sure hates freedom of religion, as evidenced by the fact that she sent Chicago cops to shut down the Cornerstone Baptist Church last week as Pastor Courtney Lewis and worshippers were trying to practice their faith.
Because that portion of the First Amendment doesn’t apply during a stay-at-home order…that the mayor herself is permitted to violate…but protesting (without practicing social distancing) is okay.
