At least 17 House Democrats were arrested Tuesday afternoon outside the Supreme Court.

The Democrats were attending an abortion rights rally to protest the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. In several videos posted on Twitter, Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar can be seen with their hands behind their back being held by police officers who appear to be escorting them away from the protest in front of the Supreme Court.

"Today, Rep. AOC was arrested along with other members of Congress outside the Supreme Court for protesting in support of abortion rights," Ocasio-Cortez's office tweeted from her account. (RELATED: Ocasio-Cortez, Members Of 'The Squad' Appear To Have Been Arrested In Front Of Supreme Court)

Bodies on the line? LMAO!

What a twit!

I really question the intelligence of the representatives and others "protesting" the SCOTUS decision--as if their little protest would ever make the decision be reversed. Surely as members of Congress they know that isn't possible.

Oh, well, a few idiots got arrested. Maybe we'll get to see some more photo ops of AOC or one of the other idiots crying about police brutality or deplorable jail conditions.

Does anyone remember when Representatives would have been appalled at one or more of their members being arrested?

“…crying about police brutality or deplorable jail conditions.”

Well, tex, those instances are all too regularly exposed.

Too many of our elected officials are only too willing to brush them aside. Some, however, are willing to shine a light on them…knowing nothing will change today or even tomorrow, but endeavor in giving a voice to the voiceless, giving hope to the most in need of hope, while doing so in defiance of the faceless, feckless, facetious mob.

But not to worry, I am sure the Capitol Police handled the Squad with kid gloves.

Bodies on the line?

Yeah the exaggerations make me crazy. Why wouldn’t it be enough to just say they were publicly showing their support for something? Instead we get this hyperbole. Their bodies are not on the line. Looks like they were sitting in the street, but totally safe.

First of all, one would have to be a total moron to even think that those hypocrites would even think about putting their perfect little bodies on the line for anyone or anything!
