Another Day, Another Devastating Day For Donald Trump
At the end of the hearing today they played a clip of people at the Jan 6th capitol building "protest" saying they were there because the election had been stolen from Trump. These people gave specifics , to a degree, claiming this or that about Dominion or that ballots had been stuffed into suitcases. All of these ideas were refuted today by officials of the Trump administration or campaign.

This may have been worse for Trump than even the first night of hearings was.

Time after time for two hours today we heard from Trump administration officials who testified they told the president there was no voter fraud. Not only told him in general , but refuted point by point specifics of the voter fraud claims. To Trump.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr testified extensively about how his department investigated alleged voter fraud and couldnt find any. He talked about Dominion, and about the 2000 Mules theory and basically ridiculed them. Barr talked about how he explained these things to Trump , but the truth did not effect Trump. His mind was made up that he would holler "voter fraud" ad infinitum.

None of the witnesses shown live or on video were Democrats, they were all Republicans , and time after time they testified that the ex-president was wrong and even deluded.

Jan 6th was for nothing , nothing other than feeding Donald Trump's diseased ego.

One of the witnesses even testified that Rudy Giuliani was drunk at the White House on election night and was urging Trump to declare victory.

You have a presentation of hard evidence and your comment is on the style rather than the content.

It certainly is your right to focus on style over substance but I suspect most people are focused more on the content.

Let's try this, what is your takeaway regarding the content / substance of the presentations thus far?    Not style, substance.

Which evidence has been wrong?    For example, was Trump informed by senior staff / officials that his Big Lie was flat out wrong?

People complain about the Jan 6th committee yet not once have I read a thoughtful response that illustrates the committee's evidence is wrong.

Sorry Frosty - same same for the past six years - nothing has changed other than the year's date.  Dems just can't get it through their heads that they got their azzes handed to them in 2016 and, like the little children in the sandbox that they are, they also don't know how to say - "OK, it's over - we got real shyte to do, so let's start doing it for the PEOPLE WHO ELECTED US".

Unfortunately for them, though, is that they are going to get their azzes handed to them again and again - but they'll never learn or grow up or learn how to "play nice" and work for the people who elected them and not their lobbyists who want looser regs/laws so they can get mo' money and influence.

Deflect if you must, but the evidence against trump is not just overwhelming, it's impossible to ignore. Bill Barr's testimony alone was devastating. I am just reading now that Trump is accusing his own daughter of perjury. Trump is unraveling by the minute.

same same for the past six years

Six years ago dirty Donald was just a piece of shit fraud, liar and serial adulterer. Then he convinced a bunch of gullible, stupid, poorly educated religious conservatives to empower him telling them all the things they wanted to hear.

Since then we got a President who spent half a million paying off porn whores to keep quiet about his illicit affairs with them during the campaign, lied about the numerous contacts he and his staff had with Russian agents, had an enemy foreign government support his campaign as they hacked private email servers on his behalf, spent millions on surreptitious ads and social media campaigns to help him win the Presidency, disrespected gold star families, called Mexicans "rapists" and "criminals", extorted a foreign government for dirt on his political opponents, "fell in love" with the vile authoritarian murderer Kim Jong Un, praised another authoritarian murderer calling him a "genius", called Nazi's and white supremacists "very fine people", tried to institute a Muslim ban, tried to trade Puerto Rico, which he bigotedly called "dirty and poor", for Greenland, lied about voter fraud in 2016 falsely claiming the 3 million + more votes Hillary got were from "illegals", had his charity fined for millions and shut down due to fraud and misuse of funds, called John McCain, an obvious war hero who suffered torture while defending America, a "loser", suggested, with zero evidence, that vaccines cause autism, fired the pandemic response unit created by Obama after Ebola, unilaterally revealed classified information from our allies to a Russian agent, ended a humanitarian program that had allowed almost 60,000 Haitians to reside and work in the U.S as their country was still trying to recover from a devastating earthquake, cut inheritances taxes that would specifically benefit his family and heirs, referred to Haiti and African ally nations as "shit hole" countries, accused Democrats of "treason" when they didn't applaud his State of the Union address, then lied to his supporters about fictional voter fraud and inspired his mindless worthless piss ant racist hordes to attack our nations capital in an attempt to subvert a free and fair election and install him as a fascist dictator.

So no, I don't think it's been the "same same" for the past six years. The only ones believing that horse shit have their heads shoved so far up Trumps ass his shriveled balls are resting on their belt buckles.

Frostie - to me, this has nothing to do with the "election".  It has to do with the open and intentional lying by the so-called "leaders" of the Dem/Lib/Repub parties to the people who voted/placed them in an office(s) of responsibility.  Neither party has shown/is showing ANY concern for their constituents - but - "by gawd" - damage to the "party" is tantamount.

Both parties are/have gotten their fingers/hands caught in the cookie jar and now, AT THE EXPENSE OF THEIR CONSTITUENTS, they are having a Jr. High School "Show'n'tell" to prove who's got the bigger "pee-pee" and have almost totally forgotten why they were elected and by whom.

Yes, there are some good folks on both sides of the aisle, but they, unfortunately, have some really pizz poor leaders/managers.

That's my argument.

To a large extent, many of the right wingers on this site do little but "ask questions". Asking questions, for them, takes the place of finding sources and posting links or quotes. There is more than a little laziness there.

But there is a better reason for them to constantly ask questions. You can always claim the question wasnt answered and so you get to repeat the question all over again.

And of course, constantly asking questions can create the illusion of intelligence.

BTW - "some" of the rioters were charged under Fed law for wilful destruction of Fed property in those large cities and for "threatening" Fed employees who were performing their jobs.  Many of the rioters were released due to lack of manpower of the cities/states to continue with potentially prosecuting the offenders.

Oh - and another BTW - they weren't "Summer rioters" unless Thanksgiving/Christmas/Easter are now considered summer in your neck of the woods.

Your "summer rioters" operated for 18 months - Jan 6 occurred for ONE DAY - YUGE difference and has no separation as to whether or not Feds/States charges are/were pursued.

I refer to them as the "summer rioter" since that is what the Conservatives have called them.  I've also seen the conservatives call it the "summer of love".  So, I'm just calling it what the conservatives have typically referred to it as and will continue to do so despite what you "think" I should call them.  The "summer rioters" were not an attack on our nation and constitution like the "ONE DAY" January 6th riot where the rioters were trying to stop a constitutionally mandated certification of our election and attacked our national Capitol building, and yes, a majority of the "summer rioters" were charged on state charges, not federal.

No Dulay - no one is "trying to force me to have a discussion".  What many of us are trying to do is to get you to "have a discussion" without all of the dissection of their sources/topics/authors - just discuss the topic and quit telling folks how wrong they are and how "stupid" their opinions are.

Listen to them and learn - works both ways.

John, while I applaud your new found moderating skills, I have to point out that I'm pretty sure it's verboten to block quote my comment and then delete part of it.

BTW, I agree with your comment.

I'll add that this 'provide a source' bullshit from those who post unsubstantiated proclamations ad nauseam is the height of hypocrisy.

No I don't take things to an extreme Trout on the majority of things.  Native American things - you're damn right I do.

Political BS - you are given no choice on NT - either you hate the message and know of no other way to express it, such as a few posters do with their constant hate ridden threads/seeds, or you are like some of use who "try" to get the pendulum back to where it belongs - the middle.

And, yes, I DO contribute (somewhere in the neighborhood of over 150 threads/seeds/articles) and you've actually commented on some of my "contributions".

But, I also noticed that you have made no contribution to this thread other than - "out of the blue" - jumping in to tell me how wrong I am 'bout something.

How 'bout discussing the thread/seed - I will do the same.

My opinion of the seed?  It sux 'cause it's full of shyte/bias/prejudice and nothing more than the continuous hate speech of the seeder.

In all seriousness you dont have a leg to stand on. The Jan 6th hearings have been big national news for the past week. We are FINALLY seeing a reckoning imposed on the lies of Trump and his MAGA that have been inflicted on this country since Nov3 2020. We are way past enough is enough.

DeSantis can't keep the straight face long enough while lying through his teeth. He'll try, but conservatives know that no one can lie like their beloved Mango Mussolini. Only Trump can deny, deny, deny the way these conservatives demand so that they can cling to their fantasy of being morally, racially and religiously superior.

Every fucking witness was a Retrumplican.  They ALL informed Trump that there was no fraud and the election was fair and he lost.

It's kinda like when a corporation does illegal shit and the CEO pretends he wasn't aware of the crimes.  But then everyone who works for him testifies that they informed him of the criminal behavior.  The CEO should be held culpable.

Rick Scott

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1987, after serving in the United States Navy and becoming a law firm partner, he co-founded Columbia Hospital Corporation . Columbia later merged with another corporation to form Columbia/HCA , which eventually became the nation's largest private for-profit health care company. [6] Scott was pressured to resign as chief executive of Columbia/HCA in 1997. During his tenure as chief executive, the company defrauded Medicare, Medicaid and other federal programs. The Department of Justice ultimately fined the company $1.7 billion in what was at the time the largest health care fraud settlement in U.S. history.

Rick Scott is now a Republican Senator.  He pretended he did not know about the fraud.

During his 2010 race, the Miami Herald reported that Scott had said he would have immediately stopped his company from committing fraud -- if only "somebody told me something was wrong." But there were such warnings in the company’s annual public reports to stockholders -- which Scott had to sign as president and CEO.

How anyone could be duped by the biggest grifter of all time and give him money is beyond comprehension. He used his supporters like a dirty rag forever smearing them with his lies and taking their money for his own pocket. He never really spent much and lost over 60 lawsuits because there was no fraud. Except for his own fraud bilking his own supporters.
