The Chicago Bears Aren't Boring Anymore
Suddenly, the Bears are one of the most exciting teams in the NFL. Their offense has their fans excited, and their defense has the opponents fans excited to play them.
Today was one for the record books.
No team in the history of the NFL has scored 29 points or more in three straight games , and lost all three of them. Until the Bears accomplished that "feat" today.
But now to the good news. The Bears second year quarterback Justin Fields has emerged as one of the most exciting players in the league, and he might be THE most exciting. Fields rushed for 147 yards today, after 178 last week. Fields rushing total over the past 5 games is the most of any quarterback in at least 60 years. Yes, more in a 5 game span than Randall Cunningham, Michael Vick, Cam Newton or Lamarr Jackson.
And he's been passing well too, although he had a pick six against him today.
The Bears have two pile driving running backs as well. David Montgomery and Khahil Herbert are both human battering rams that are above average NFL backs.
The Bears are the first team to have over 250 rushing yards in 5 straight games in a long time.
Now , if we can get the defense fixed in the next couple years we might start actually winning some games.
