WE LIVE IN A DEGRADED NATION
Degraded
-
treated or regarded with contempt or disrespect:
"she had felt cheap and degraded"
-
reduced in quality; inferior
-
Merriam-Webster defines it as “to lower in grade, rank, or status,” “to strip of rank or honors,” “to lower to an inferior or less effective level,” “to bring to low esteem or into disrepute,” and “to drag down in moral or intellectual character” 2 .
-
Eight years of Donald Trump in our grill everyday has deteriorated the moral and cultural fabric of our country to a degree that it doesnt sound that far fetch to suggest we may never get it back.
America, in the early fall of 2023, is in a degraded state.
The Jan 6th committee essentially proved that Donald Trump tried to overthrow his own government and stay in power, illegally and immorally. This is not something that is a legitimate subject for differing opinions. Trump approved a plan to have his vice president use the Jan 6th vote counting session to declare millions of swing state votes were invalid and thus Trump was the winner and would be returned to office. The fact that the plot was never achieved is immaterial. Trump approved of this sinister plot and wanted with all his heart for it to happen. In addition, he refused to act to end the capital riot, and instead used the hours the riot was occurring to eat snacks, watch tv , and telephone Republicans in Congress to try and get them to go along with the plan.
While it is unknown whether his actions will prove in court to have been criminal , that is almost beside the point. We know what Trump did, and it is arguably the most disgraceful thing ever done by an American president.
Why is America a degraded nation? Because of the people who want Trump, who love him, protect him , and promote him.

Donald Trump tailgates before Iowa-Iowa State game, crowd goes crazy as he walks into stadium
Ryan Morik 3-4 minutes 9/9/2023
Donald Trump is the big man on campus.
The former President is attending Saturday's Iowa-Iowa State game , but he had to turn back the clock to the college days before the contest.
The game kicked off at 3:30 ET, so before the game, Trump had some time to pay a visit to the Iowa people.

Trump, 77, was spotted flipping some burgers at a tailgate with some fans.
Upon entering the stadium, a humongous crowd gathered around him for some raucous "USA" chants.
Before entering the game, Trump was also hit with a "four more years" chant. He also visited the Alpha Gamma Rho agricultural fraternity.
"We’re thrilled to invite Donald J. Trump to the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game this weekend," Trump’s former acting attorney general, Matt Whitaker, said in a press release earlier this week, according to the Des Moines Register. "President Trump attended this game in 2015 and remembers the incredible passion and electricity of the fans."

A former Cyclones wide receiver, Jack Whitver, the Iowa Senate majority leader, also commented on Trump heading to the Hawkeye State.
"Tens of thousands of Iowans will gather to tailgate and cheer on their favorite team," Whitver said in a statement. "I’m proud to have President Trump witness the greatest rivalry in college sports."
Trump recently pleaded not guilty to charges in his election interference case in Georgia.
This is the first "Cy-Hawk" game since a gambling probe has ravaged the two schools. It has led to several current and former players charged, mostly with the Cyclones.
Saturday marks the 70th matchup between the Hawkeyes and Cyclones.

Both Iowa and Iowa State won their opening games for the 2023 college football season , with the Hawkeyes beating Utah State and the Cyclones taking down Northern Iowa.
The Cyclones beat Iowa in 2022 after losing six straight in the series and are hosting Saturday's contest.

Who ever thought that so many Americans would turn their back on decency, honor, and the rule of law? Well they have and that is our new reality.
-
We have to stop saying everything is going to be alright. Everything is not going to be alright.
A democratic governor unilaterally overturned the second amendment by emergency order.Another democratic governor publicly refused to commit to following the law when nominating a possible senatorial replacement.
Dark days.
A democrat mayor in a sanctuary city has said immigrants are going to destroy their city. Crazy times
We have millions of Americans saying that they will vote for a known traitor to be their president.
Whether or not Trump is a traitor is not a legitimate topic for discussion. It has been proven by his acts and inaction surrounding and accompanying Jan 6th 2021.
All thats left is the final disposition of his political career. He should be run out of town on a rail, but he is a hero to many. That makes them traitors too.
I dont say this lightly.
If trump had been convicted of treason you’d have a point. We are still a nation of laws, despite what some democrats may believe. Trump hasn’t even been indicted for treason ( how could he be?) so to say it’s beyond question he’s a traitor is delusional.
Nope, he's a traitor. If that isnt enough to disqualify him forever this country is truly fucked.
Its not delusional at all. Traitor is not a legal term, it is a description of someones actions and statements and attitudes. We know what Trump was doing in relation to the election , he was trying to steal it. That makes him a traitor , as do many other facts.
Treason is the only crime expressly defined by the constitution. It has a very specific meaning that must be proven in a court of law.
He's a traitor. Stop trying to change the subject. MAGA wants to put a known traitor back in office.
Trump did not lift a finger to end the riot. This is not speculation, it is a known fact. Instead of trying to help end the riot, Trump wanted it to succeed. Thats why he did nothing to end it.
Then he tells the rioters, some of which are getting 10, 15 and 20 years sentences for conspiracy to sedition, to "remember this day forever". He's an anti-American piece of shit.
Yet millions worship him.
Degraded nation.
And millions more willing to vote for the current known criminal whose administration is abusing the power of the DOJ/FBI to go after his chief political opponent.
All members of a party willing to abuse the law at the state and local level; and defy the Constitution by trying to keep their leading political opponent off of state ballots.
We are a degraded nation. Either the laws apply to everyone or no one.
Democrats are bringing about the day when they will apply to know one. They will also be screaming the loudest when that day comes.
@1.1.8 suggests an a disconnect with reality. First, one cannot deem Biden a known criminal until he is convicted of a crime. This is basic. One can opine on his wrongdoing, but one needs to wait for an indictment and a conviction before one can correctly deem him a criminal.
Second, @1.1.8 puts forth the partisan talking point that Trump is being indicted because he is Biden's main political opponent which implies (since you penned it) that you think Trump has done no wrong and that the indictments are without merit.
In all, a comment that reflects an alternate, delusional reality.
So it's a disconnect from reality to call Trump a traitor.
You called him a traitor. That is the subject.
He is a traitor. You are arguing that he is an unknown quantity until he is convicted of a crime. That is not true. We know what Trump did on and around and involving Jan 6th. He egged on the Jan 6th "protest" that would have been useless to him if it remained peaceful, he conspired to have a contaminated vote count done by Pence which by Trumps wishes would have installed him as president for another term, and he sat eating fritos and making conspiratorial phone calls to Republican congresspeople rather than doing all he could to stop the riot (he actually did nothing to stop the riot).
None of that is conjecture , it is all the product of sworn testimony. One of the most absurd things about all this is the laughable pretense that somehow Trump might be innocent. We KNOW what Trump did, the only question left is if anything is going to be done about it.
No, it would be a disconnect from reality to claim that Trump is guilty of treason. Only a court of law can determine someone guilty of a crime.
The label traitor can be affixed (as an opinion) to someone who has betrayed their nation (among other things). The label does not require a legal determination; in the same way, one can call someone a liar without a legal determination.
(However, someone convicted of treason is, ipso facto, a traitor.)
You do not think that Trump betrayed the USA when he abused the power and influence of his office in his "Big Lie" attempt to steal an election that he absolutely lost, through coercion, fraud, lying and suborning his V.P. to unconstitutionally table certified votes in a (ridiculous) attempt to use alternate electors loyal to Trump?
If that applies to Biden, it must also apply to Trump. He has not been charged with treason, insurrection, or sedition. What the foolish Dem dummies have done is to probably assured Trump of a second term.
Yes, Greg, it applies to Trump too.
The label 'traitor' does not require the legal finding of guilt. It is a descriptive term, just like 'liar' is a descriptive term.
So one can opine on Trump's wrongdoings and label him a traitor or a liar or ... with substantial justification. One cannot, however, claim that he is guilty of sedition or treason since that is determined in a court of law.
I just explained this @1.1.13
The only 'argument' that some try to make is that Biden and Trump are the same. They are not. The allegations are not the same. The evidence is not the same.
What is true is that one cannot deem anyone guilty of a crime; that is a determination made by a court of law. But one is free to label individuals as they see fit; but then they should justify the label with an argument (based on evidence).
I have put several far-right wing fascists here on ignore because it is obvious that they are here simply to spread disinformation from far-right wing think tanks such as heartland and heritage.
I wonder if they know they are spreading disinformation.
Thanks for letting us all know but you should have named names.
I'm not allowed to talk about people on ignore anymore
Yes, you should probably start boarding everything up now...if you haven't already/s
Didn’t you post another seed with this same ridiculous headline awhile back?
There is nothing ridiculous about this article.
Not for followers of chicken little I guess.

Why do you think he isn't?
This post sure has the MAGAs riled up. If they're happy then they're happy. So, "What's the diff," to quote a line from an Eastwood Western movie.
flipped some burgers, eh? That's the most work he's done in his entire life. I still don't think McD's will hire him, tho
