In this timelapse you can see work of excavation, foundation, tower erection and nacelle and blades lifting. In El Cortijo wind farm, Tamaulipas, Mexico, ACCIONA has completed this process 61 times, as many as wind turbines the facility is equipped with.

Short YouTube video showing site preparation and erection of a utility scale wind turbine.

I liked this particular video because it shows site prep and pouring the foundation.  Those steps are typically not shown unless the video is long (and boring).  The turbine in the video is a little unusual because it utilizes segmented column barrels that are assembled onsite instead of prefabricated column barrels.  Difficult to tell from the video but this may be a smaller turbine that allows the use of segmented column barrels.

I wonder if wind turbine muzak is a subcategory of elevator muzak?

you can follow that you tube

to the one about block island off shore fans but it doesn't show how they assembled those in/on the water.

They say 40% of all German households are powered by wind production

where the USA is around 5% with Texas leading the way

i've climbed one before in the Poconos,

i thought the base would have been deeper or heavier, but the turbine and blades don't appear as heavy as they did wen i climbed one.

or, maybe i was more intoxicated than i remember,

Whatever, cool informative video. We need more here!
