Racist groups including neo-Nazis and other white supremacists are urging people in their ranks to contract the coronavirus in order to infect Jews and police officers, according to a report.

ABC News   obtained an alert from the FBI’s New York office to local police agencies saying that “members of extremist groups are encouraging one another to spread the virus, if contracted, through bodily fluids and personal interactions.”

The alert, which was issued Thursday, warned that the extremist groups instructed their members to spread their bodily fluids on cops using spray bottles, according to the network.

The followers also were told to spread the deadly illness to Jews by going “any place they may be congregated, to include markets, political offices, businesses and places of worship.”

“Anti-government folks in America love to target law enforcement as a symbol of America’s authority,” said Don Mihalek, executive vice president of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association Foundation.

“It’s just sad that that’s their focus at a time of crisis in the nation,” the ABC News contributor added.

Organizations that keep tabs on online white supremacist postings have noticed that Jews and Jewish leaders have been blamed for the novel virus.

“From pushing the idea that Jews created the coronavirus virus to sell vaccines to encouraging infected followers to try to spread the illness to the Jewish community and law enforcement, as the coronavirus has spread, we have observed how white-supremacists, neo-Nazis and others have used this to drive their own conspiracy theories, spread disinformation and incite violence on their online platforms,” said Michael Masters, the chief of Secure Communities Network, a group that coordinates security for Jewish organizations and synagogues nationwide.

“While the world faces a deadly pandemic, it’s a stark reminder that certain groups — notably the Jewish community and law enforcement — must also continue the battle against those who wish to hurt or kill them,” Masters told ABC. “As the economic situation remains fragile and civil society disrupted, the potential for the followers of hate to act becomes more likely … and more deadly.”

The FBI has been warning for quite some time that white supremacists pose real danger to the US.

The article is quite timely.

I'm sure you feel at ease that in your world, white supremacists are responsible for the coronavirus. Your confirmation bias has been stroked.

Kavika never said any such thing.

There have been reports and warnings about these people for quite some time.

A couple of things. First, you have no idea what my world is. Second, the FBI made the claim so in your world the FBI is lying. Please point out where I said white supremacists are responsible for coronavirus.

It's always fun to watch your strawman explode in flames.

I realize that there is a desire to deflect blame onto scapegoats but, the truth is, globalization brought COVID-19 into the country and caused the SARS pandemic.  Everyone is already being infected with COVID-19.

Almost overnight the United States became dependent upon manufacturing.  Suddenly the country needs all those jobs that are never coming back.  Blaming a preferred scapegoat won't change reality.

Yep, it's possible to point fingers at fringe groups, kooks, cults, and crazy people.  The 'die in their chairs' politicians in Congress have proven that the United States cannot rely on the Federal government.  Maybe the crazies weren't so crazy, after all.  The facts are that the status quo has been the root cause of the SARS pandemic.

Actually it is not pointing fingers at all. It is exposing a reality. An underlying underbelly of society that exists.

I fail to see how exposing their rhetoric is in any way pointing fingers or placing any blame.

They are there, they are saying such things. The point is to not let them get to where they try to actually pull things like this off.

It is a warning that even in times of crisis there are people that will try to push their sick agenda and may try to harm people.

Raising alarms about the 'underbelly' has always been a politically expedient means of diverting public attention.  Joseph McCarthy rose to public prominence by doing that.  It's a propaganda trick.

Don't ignore that when the SARS outbreak in Wuhan first became known that the news organizations were breathlessly anticipating Nancy Pelosi sending Articles of Impeachment to the Senate.  Pelosi sent the Articles to the Senate the day after the first known COVID-19 infected individual came into the United States on January 15.  Political Washington's attention was focused on impeachment the entire month of January.  The Senate vote that acquitted Trump was on February 6.

Why do you think propaganda to divert public attention is being pushed now?

Sorry but it is not some deep state attempt to divert attention nor is it propaganda.

It is an article about an FBI report about their behavior and rhetoric.

Simple as that.

'Their' behavior and rhetoric has not changed.  The SARS pandemic hasn't suddenly caused hate groups to want to harm Jews, cops, or anyone else.  These groups have been exhibiting the same behavior and rhetoric all along.  Nothing has changed except the SARS pandemic.

The only rational explanation for highlighting behavior and rhetoric that has not changed is to divert public attention.  It's a propaganda campaign to manipulate public perceptions and opinion.  The hate groups are still engaged in the same behaviors and rhetoric exhibited before the SARS pandemic.

Bullshit.

There were some idiots that attacked Asian people because they blamed them.

It is a report by the FBI that these people could possibly cause harm and the ways they would plan on doing it.

The only propaganda campaign here is the one you are trying to pull. Basically saying 'boys will be boys', nothing to see here folks.

So you think the media should not talk about such reports and ignore them?

Again, it is not some deep state manipulation campaign by just simply reporting an a report, from our government, that was compiled.

That's propaganda bullshit.  The only thing the FBI is telling us is that hate groups continue to be hate groups.  The hate groups have not changed their behavior or rhetoric.  No one is saying 'boys will be boys'; that's a political deflection utilized by incompetents and idiots.  That's something Congress would do.

So you think the media should not talk about such reports and ignore them?

Yeah, the media can report old news.  News Flash:  hate groups are still talking about killing Jews, cops, and anyone else they hate.  In other news, Francisco Franco is still dead.

Again, it is not some deep state manipulation campaign by just simply reporting an a report, from our government, that was compiled.

The article is propaganda; it's not news reporting.

If you don't like the article feel free to leave.

Sorry your rouge mouse brought you here.

Shame you not once had any sort of condemnation for these people.

Only to trash a source bringing the information if not just dismissing the information.

Ah, the 'thoughts and prayers' response.  These hate group rat bastards have been around since before the Civil War.  'Thoughts and prayers' isn't going to do anything.

I condemn hate groups.  Now go on with your business.  How very Biden.

Only to trash a source bringing the information if not just dismissing the information.

The source is the New York Post.  Take a look at the quality of other reporting by Yaron Steinbuch:

It has as much to do with extremism as it does with white supremacy. What do think of this article?

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/mar/3/candi-cdebaca-cheers-idea-infecting-trump-rallies-/

Yours are a bunch of idiots on the internet. Mine is a city councilwoman. Which one do you really think is scarier?

Everyone needs to call out extremism, no matter what group is espousing it. Of course these "white supremacists" are idiots. I have no problem saying it as I have no affiliation with them.

Want to talk about that? Seed an article.

They are both wrong.

This is not a which side is worse, this is about what could be a real danger.

Calling it tds just shows me you could actually care less and are only here to try to point blame at others instead of calling a spade a spade.

I am going to just come out and say it: There are some white supremacists tendencies in here. In won't be fair to point them out here and now; but, train in on their thoughts and attitudes and it becomes plain to see. Being combative to facts, aggressive in defense of dangerous activities, and deflecting and doing end-runs around proper discussion are gross indicators of people deploying doubletalk as a strategy and tactic.

Anyone can be affected by the antics of attacking people with a deadly virus, if nothing else, each instance would be an all-out assault on other human beings. A violation of freedom. Person. Another.

We're all one blood-like it or lump it-what commonly affects one can generally become hellish for anyone of us.

This is a shame. Everybody ought to be in agreement on this.
