Vote Trump; Save America
Your shaming isn't working. We don't believe we are betraying our values for standing with the person who is pursuing policies that will sustain America's liberty tradition and opposing those that will enslave and impoverish us. You can force-feed us op-ed after op-ed from well-respected Christian theologians urging us to vote against President Trump because you apparently believe he's Satan's spawn. But your pleas will fall flat because, unlike you, we see clearly the threats we face to...

David Limbaugh is right about every point that he made in his article I seeded.  Re electing President Trump is the only way to save the America we know and love and preserve it.  The Biden ticket and the secular progressive democrat left are a clear and present danger and mortal threat to everything we hold dear and stand for and believe in as moral believing center right Americans.  President Trump has kept his promises and has stood in the breach protecting us from China as well as our domestic enemies.

We are just days from the most important election in modern times, and sanctimonious scolds are still telling conservatives that they're immoral for supporting the main person fighting to prevent this nation's destruction.

Seriously? Your shaming isn't working. We don't believe we are betraying our values for standing with the person who is pursuing policies that will sustain America's liberty tradition and opposing those that will enslave and impoverish us.

You can force-feed us op-ed after op-ed from well-respected Christian theologians urging us to vote against President Trump because you apparently believe he's Satan's spawn. But your pleas will fall flat because, unlike you, we see clearly the threats we face to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and, yes, even Christian values.

Ask yourself this: If, when crafting our Constitution, the framers anticipated that a man like Donald Trump might eventually become president -- a man whose quirks bother some people to distraction and irrationality -- would they have scrapped the whole system and opted for political tyranny and economic socialism?

Heavens, no, but that's essentially what you're asking us to do. No, thank you. We are not about to abandon the ideas we believe in because some of you have made a virtue out of hating and vilifying this president and demonizing the rest of us who disagree with you.

We are not about to surrender to a leftist agenda of abortion on demand; lawlessness in our streets; bankrupting and unworkable environmental radicalism; the end of the oil industry; socialism; gender anarchy; the obliteration of our freedoms of speech and religion; and a weak United States because you have become unwitting allies of sinister forces determined to realize these infernal goals.

One popular theologian insists that a man of Trump's character would lead us to such horrors as abortion, arguing that his policies are not as important as his reflecting good values. This is delusional on its face. How can you argue that this person you love to judge and condemn is likely to lead us away from our values -- life, liberty and property -- when he is already upholding those values?

Let's be real. We are all sinners -- including the most pious among us, who, of all people, should have that truth emblazoned on their spirits. The indictment against Trump's character is not the one-sided case you think it is. But many of you are so blinded by your hatred that you can't see his positive attributes, the wonderful things he's doing for this country and the evil ideas he is opposing.

For four years, we've heard that Trump is the repository of evil in the world, and we're well aware of the complaints against him. But we've also seen a man who genuinely loves this country and who is fighting, scratching and kicking 24 hours a day for almost all things conservatives believe in. He is dedicated to keeping it strong so that we can meet all internal and external challenges to our security and domestic tranquility.

No president has ever been subjected to the incessant slander leveled at him, the relentless daily assault that would drive most mortals to a permanent fetal position. Much of it has been outright lies. But he shrugs it off and spends every waking moment addressing the nagging problems we face and combatting the forces who are determined to divide us on race, gender and economic status, and to burn the nation down to make way for their quixotic socialist utopia.

So many of the attacks leveled against him have been orchestrated by a monolithic liberal media that has abandoned any pretense of fairness and objectivity. The media is not only a hell-born hydra for the Democratic Party; it is outright dishonest and censorious. Even if you disagree with every conservative policy, you surely can't be comfortable with the liberal media and social media conspiring to suppress conservative speech -- not if you still love America and what has always made it unique. If you think this country can long survive with such tyrannical behavior, if you think Donald Trump represents a greater threat to this nation than people who facilitate such despotism, then we're on different planets.

The uninterrupted barrage against Trump has poisoned people's minds and hearts. Much of the case against him is based on lies and half-truths. I don't believe Trump is a racist, and even his worst critics are hard-pressed to deny that his policies have improved the lives of minorities.

Reporters, for example, constantly ask him to renounce white supremacy, when he has never endorsed it -- no matter how many times they scream otherwise. When he complies and denounces it yet again, they say they don't believe him. Speaking of character, bearing false witness is hardly a trifling sin.

This is no longer Democrats versus Republicans. It is an existential struggle for the survival of the United States as founded. I earnestly appeal to my Democratic friends who don't subscribe to the radical leftist agenda that has swallowed their party. I appeal to never-Trump Republicans who, because of a disorienting obsession, are fighting against the policies and values they've supported their entire lives. You never-Trumpers have to wonder which of us has changed, given that more than 95 percent of Republicans disagree with you.

If the frail and rapidly failing Joe Biden becomes president, the nation will likely never be the same again, whether or not he is quickly replaced by the radical Kamala Harris. Forbid it, almighty God.

Happy Halloween 2020 – Ben Garrison Cartoon

Ben Garrison October 30, 2020

“The Great Trumpkin”

Our Halloween cartoon offering this year takes place in the Election Pumpkin Patch.

Halloween_2020.jpgPresident Trump makes his dramatic appearance as the ‘Great Trumpkin,’ much to the dismay of his opponent, Biden. Trump has drawn a lot of crowds and attention, while Biden has been left dazed and confused. Hunter offers a few comforting words to his dad, er, ‘big guy.’

However, the Democrats aren’t playing for ‘peanuts’ and if they find their cheating is successful and Biden wins (God forbid), then our country will face some horrific times, indeed.

Incorrect:

...Mr. Trump has endured the tumult of our times to build a clear track record in key areas worth reviewing:

• The Economy

President Trump has enabled, encouraged, and laid the necessary groundwork for the best economy in 40 years.

In 2019, the labor market was the strongest in modern times. The largest number of Americans (159 million) were employed ever. The U.S. had the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years (3.5%) and had record or near record high employment rates for Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, women, high school grads, the handicapped, and veterans.

Median family income rose 6.8% in 2019, the largest one-year increase on record going back to 1967, and settled at a record high of $68,700.

• Trade and Immigration

Mr. Trump came to office with a clear understanding that trade and immigration policies over the last 40 years had worked to destroy manufacturing in the United States and to offshore jobs or suppress the wages paid to American workers.

He cancelled the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, renegotiated NAFTA, and created the USMCA, and has not hesitated to engage other nations — especially China — with tariffs when necessary.

With respect to immigration, it is safe to say that Mr. Trump is the first President ever to take enforcement of our immigration laws seriously.

• National Security

Mr. Trump reoriented American foreign policy towards addressing the generational challenge posed by the communists in China.

He has shrunk, rather than expanded, American involvement in nettlesome and pointless conflicts.

He took swift and decisive action against adversaries such as Qassim Soleimani and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, who were responsible for killing Americans and destabilizing the Middle East.

Mr. Trump’s leadership has resulted in Arab nations normalizing relations with Israel, the most significant breakthrough in the Middle East since the end of World War II.

He rebalanced military alliances that had become over-reliant on American power and American contributions.

He rebuilt a military struggling after 15 years of nonstop combat.

He rejuvenated NASA, reemphasized the necessity of American space efforts, and created the Space Force.

• Judges

Mr. Trump has remade the federal judiciary with constitutionalist judges and justices who understand their proper role in our balance of power. More than 215 judges have been nominated and confirmed, including 3 Supreme Court judges.

There are now a majority of judges appointed by Republicans in seven of the 13 federal appellate circuits.

If the president is given another four years, the likelihood is that by 2025 there will be a majority of Republican-appointed judges in all 13 circuits.

• Taxes

Mr. Trump achieved tax reform.

The provisions of this reform — lower corporate tax rates, expensing, and eliminating penalties for repatriating cash — have been essential in improving the economy of the nation and the personal prosperity of its citizens. Individual taxpayers were helped by the elimination of Obamacare’s individual mandate, as well as the reduced deductibility of state and local taxes, which means that residents from well-functioning, low-tax States no longer subsidize residents of high-tax, poorly-run states.

• Regulations

Mr. Trump changed the regulatory regimes in areas as different and important as automobiles, telecommunications and environmental improvement.

His efforts have preserved Americans’ choices in determining what is best for them, saved households hundreds of dollars in regulatory costs each year, ensured energy independence, and reduced the intrusion of the government in the lives of American citizens.

• Race

Mr. Trump has done more for the Black community than any president since Johnson.

Criminal justice reform, permanent funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities HBCUs, and the creation of Opportunity Zones work to ensure an America in which everyone has the opportunity to excel.

• COVID-19

In just the past year alone, Mr. Trump has faced an unprecedented array of catastrophes, any one of which could have sunk his presidency — none more frightening than the global pandemic, which began while Washington was ground to a halt by a hotly partisan and unjustified impeachment trial.

By every metric, the president has met the challenge as best as possible. He took swift action to delay the onslaught of the virus. He made difficult decisions to slow the spread, giving hospitals crucial time to prepare. He utilized federal powers and resources to ramp up testing and provide necessary medical equipment and develop therapeutics that have massively lessened the mortality rate of the plague....

The people who oppose Trump are not the blind ones.

Nor is the current situation the fault of "both sides'.

It is the fault of those who continue to support the worst president in American history.
