Pelosi knows why Jan 6 riot happened, why won’t she tell us?
“So, if you want to know why officials who report directly to Nancy Pelosi repeatedly turned down security at the Capitol on January 6th even after protesters were inside the doors of the Capitol, if you want to know what the hell that’s about, you’re un-American. You’re a traitor. You hate the country,” he said sarcastically. “In fact, you may be a white supremacist insurrectionist yourself, so be careful. That’s the official position of congressional Democrats tonight.

Tucker is absolutely 100% correct in every point made last night.  I stand with most conservatives with him in full regarding every aspect of Jan. 6 issues and other examples of federal abuses of power.  Well said Ticker Carlson.  Nancy Pelosi’s committee is a fraudulent sham.

Tucker: Pelosi knows why Jan 6 riot happened, why won’t she tell us?

Robert Jonathan is a staff writer for BizPac Review. He is a longtime writer/editor for news aggregation websites and has also developed content in the legal and financial publishing sectors as well as for online education. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law, “a law school the basketball teams can be proud of.”

Instead of launching a committee for the purposes of political theater, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) herself could shed a lot of light on what happened at the Capitol on January 6. Instead, the investigation will resemble “MSNBC with subpoena power.”

That is how Tucker Carlson assessed the situation in another powerful editorial delivered on Wednesday evening on his eponymous Fox News show.

Pelosi could save the committee, if not the entire Congress and America itself, a lot of time by answering a few basic questions, Carlson said. These include the following:

  • Why did the House sergeant-at-arms, a Pelosi subordinate, allegedly deny the Capitol police chief’s repeated requests for National Guard backup when everyone knew a huge protest was coming?

  • Why are authorities sitting on many hours of surveillance video?

  • Who killed U.S. Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt?

  • What role, if any, did FBI informants or operatives play on January 6?

“January 6 is one of the most discussed events in modern American history, and yet more than six months later, we still don’t know why that happened. No one has explained it. Nancy Pelosi knows why it happened. She could tell us why it happened if she felt like it…and yet repeatedly, Pelosi has worked to stop any inquiry whatsoever into the state of security at the Capitol on January 6,” the host of Tucker Carlson Tonight asserted about the San Francisco Democrat.

“And yet, it turns out that Nancy Pelosi has no intention of revealing everything she knows about January 6th, so she has turned that committee into yet another instrument of cover-up,” Tucker Carlson declared in the monologue embedded below in two parts.

Highlighting Pelosi’s rejection of U.S. Reps. Jim Jordan and Jim Banks, both Electoral College certification challengers, for the investigative committee, which caused House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to pull the plug on GOP participation altogether, Carlson claimed that was a way to preempt uncomfortable questions.

“Those two specifically seem most likely to ask questions about January 6 that Pelosi did not want to discuss. They pushed for openness, so she booted them…

Remember when they told us that they would unite the country if they ever took power? It looks like they didn’t mean it.”

“It turns out there is still an awful lot of things we don’t know about January 6th despite all the talking about it. For example, why is the Justice Department still tonight hiding thousands of hours of surveillance footage from the Capitol that day? What could possibly be on that tape that we’re not allowed to see?,” the FNC host asked rhetorically.

Insofar as the Ashli Babbitt case is concerned, Carlson suggested that “government agents get to shoot unarmed political protesters in the neck for trespassing and we’re not allowed to know who did it or why? Is that really the new standard? Does that same standard apply to BLM protesters, too, or just to people who voted for Donald Trump, people whose lives clearly don’t matter?”

Apparently alluding to the Whitmer alleged kidnapping plot , Carlson insisted that it is known that the FBI stages crimes, “So, what exactly was the FBI’s role in January 6? And why can’t we know?”

Given the chance, the GOP could pose some of these pertinent questions. Instead, the committee will likely devolve into a politicized method for blaming ordinary, peaceful, law-abiding, conservative-leaning Americans — who had nothing to do with the lawbreakers at the Capitol — for what happened, Tucker Carlson implied.

“None of these are trick questions; they’re not even partisan questions. They’re entirely fair questions, and they’re important. Every American has a right to hear the answers and hear them immediately.

“January 6 is being used as a pretext to strip millions of disfavored Americans of their core constitutional rights. We are witnessing the most aggressive crackdown on civil liberties in our lifetime. That is not an exaggeration. Yet thanks to Nancy Pelosi, the January 6 committee will now operate the way she would like America to operate, as a one-party state.”

U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney, the anti-Trump GOP neocon, wants to opportunistically stay on the committee because she knows her political career in elective office is over, Carlson claimed.

“Well, like her friend Bill Kristol before her, Liz Cheney has a next chapter planned. She’ll find some billionaire to fund her push for pointless foreign wars. That’s the one thing she believes in.”

Georgia freshman Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene did not mince her words this week when discussing the hypocrisy of the Biden administration.

During an interview Monday night on Newsmax’s “Cortes & Pellegrino,” Greene said the facilities for illegal immigrants are better than the ones where Capitol Hill protesters are being held.

Host Steve Cortes kicked off the segment by asking: “If you would, and just quickly please, Paul Hodgkins today was sentenced in a felony, he’s going to serve eight months in prison, he’s never had any kind of prison record. He was non-violent on January 6, he committed essentially trespassing, and yet his life has essentially been ruined. Your thoughts on that sentence handed out today?”

“I think it’s outrageous. You know, and I have no problem saying that these January 6 defendants are being treated like political prisoners of war,” Greene began.

“One of the things I did last week in California I toured the border, and I also got to see one of the detention facilities that ICE and our U.S. Marshals use, and I can tell you for a fact, illegals that break our laws entering our country and also have broken laws and are awaiting their court dates, they are treated far better than these January 6 defendants, especially those that are being held in the deplorable jail right here in Washington D.C.,” she added.

“Now, they’ve been charged with crimes and they deserve their day in court, and of course none of us condone the violence that happened on January 6, but this is beyond out of control, and this is not who we are as a nation. We should be a nation that has laws, law, and order, and justice in our courts, but not a nation that treats people so badly just because we disagree with their political stance and want to humiliate them,” she said.

There were numerous federal law enforcement unindicted co conspirators among those leading the more violent parts of the encounters that day.  They infiltrated extremist groups and instead of trying to stop the event they egged it on.  Also they knew three weeks ahead of time this was going to happen and Pelosi by her actions with the capitol police leading up to it seems to have wanted it to happen.

It happened because Pelosi was well aware of it weeks before and wanted it to happen.  She refused Trumps attempt to put more national guard at the capitol the night before.

She refused Trumps attempt to put more national guard at the capitol the night before.

Please stop repeating things you should know are not true.

Pelosi refused nothing, she probably never even heard about it until the May hearings.

Former Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller told a House of Representatives panel that he spoke with Trump on Jan. 3, three days before the now-former president's fiery speech that preceded the violence and led to his second impeachment.

...

Miller made the remarks during a contentious hearing held by the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating security failures in the days leading to and during the riot.

Representative Carolyn Maloney, the Democrat who chairs the committee, demanded answers from Miller on why National Guard troops did not arrive until hours after the building was overrun.

Miller testified that the U.S. military was deliberately restrained that day when Trump's rally turned into an assault by hundreds of his followers that left five dead, including a Capitol Police officer.

Miller testified that he was concerned in the days before Jan. 6 that sending National Guard troops to Washington would fan fears of a military coup or that Trump advisers were advocating martial law.

It sounds like, in spite of a direct order from Trump

to have the NG there ( albeit for other reasons)

Miller decided against it on his own.

The Capitol Insurrection: Unexplained Delays and Unanswered Questions | House Committee on Oversight and Reform

According to Jeff Rosen's testimony Mat 12th,

Rosen insists the Justice Department “took appropriate precautions” ahead of the riot and put tactical teams and other elite units on standby. Rosen says Justice Department officials and federal law enforcement officials “moved with urgency” to assist the U.S. Capitol Police to clear the Capitol. The Justice Department has charged more than 400 people in connection with the riot.

DOJ provides a holistic security service including: Security Operations Center, Trusted Internet Connection (TIC), continuous monitoring, and an unmatched capability to integrate advanced threat intelligence from across the federal government.

Cybersecurity Services (justice.gov)

Besides, Trump and Pelosi haven't spoken since the October 2019 meeting when she walked out of the WH after Trump tried to call her a 'third rate' politician but it came out "third grade'.

"I know Pelosi, I know Schumer very well. They don't want to make a deal because they think it's good for politics if they don't make a deal," Trump said last month about the coronavirus relief talks. "I'm taking the high road by not seeing them. That's the high road."

A President's military chain of command doesn't run through the Speaker, it runs down hill through the Defense

Secretary and the Speaker isn't in that loop either.

To suggest otherwise is just wishful disregard for reality and the inner workings of Washington D.C.

Miller ignored a direct order from the POTUS because of the optics.

To suggest that Pelosi

"refused Trumps attempt to put more national guard at the capitol the night before".

is just unsupported bs from one Jim Jordan

What is supported is that the House Sargent at Arms Irving, did not approve a request to have the NG standing by,

for the same reason that Miller did, poor optics. The difference is that Irving was within his rights and at worst failed to

notify  House leadership of this decision.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/03/01/jordans-false-claim-that-pelosi-denied-request-national-guard-troops/

Security at the 1.5 million-square-foot U.S. Capitol building does not fall solely to the speaker. Though Pelosi does have a role in the hierarchy overseeing security, there is no indication she controls its day-to-day operations.
Responsibility for Capitol security shared

Capitol security is provided by the sergeants -at- arms , who are the chief law enforcement officers for the House and Senate, in coordination with the Capitol Police, a federal law enforcement agency.

The House sergeant-at-arms reports to the speaker of the House, or Pelosi at the time of the attack. The Senate sergeant-at-arms reports to the Senate majority leader; in the days leading up to and including Jan. 6, that was Kentucky Republican Mitch McConnell.

...

Irving told Sund ahead of the riot that he did not want National Guard troops at the Capitol on Jan. 6 because of bad "optics," the Washington Post and the New York Times reported.

In Feb. 23 testimony before lawmakers, Irving said that "optics" did not play a role in his decision. He said he, Stenger and Sund agreed the intelligence they received didn't warrant the troops.

So to sum this up, the former POTUS, made similar claim on February 28,2021 in an interview with Fox News

In an Feb. 28 interview , Fox News host Steve Hilton asked Trump if he would have done any differently on Jan. 6. Trump said:  "We said to the Department of Defense, the top person, days before we had the rally … I requested … I definitely gave the number of 10,000 National Guardsmen, I think you should have 10,000 of the National Guard ready. They took that number.

Completely true.  He gave the Acting Defense Secretary a direct order

From what I understand, they gave it to the people at the Capitol, which is controlled by Pelosi. And I heard they rejected it because they didn’t think it would look good. So, you know, that was a big mistake."

The only mistake is what Trump believes.  Miller would have given orders to the Pentagon not Pelosi or McConnell.

Miller is the goat.

We know what happened the question is how and why. How did a bunch of unarmed Yayhoos manage to penetrate the Seat of Government in the USA. It seems my old junior high school had better security than the Capitol Building. I have a hard time believing that the Capitol Building is less secure than a US Embassy, less secure than a shopping mall on black friday. Either the breach was allowed as political theater for propaganda purposes or Security is so lax as to be a joke. If Security is really that bad imagine what 40 heavily armed terrorists could have accomplished. If Security is really that lax every member of the House and Senate would be screaming about the vulnerability since they would be in jeopardy every day because of it. When are they going to investigate these security failures ?  I wonder how History will look back at this after the fog of political hatred has cleared ?
